Chapter 19: "Xavier’s School."

Deep in the cave
A blue crystal hovered in the air, glowing like a frozen galaxy. It pulsed gently, like it was breathing.
Jiro stood in front of it, his super vision piercing the surface, revealing the energy patterns flowing inside.
"It's beautiful, isn't it?" Andrew said suddenly, his voice barely above a whisper. "It feels… alive."
Jiro didn't deny it. "Yeah. It really is."
"When we touched it, we started making stuff float," Steve chimed in, scratching his head."At first it was just small stuff, but then…"
"Then it started changing you," Jiro finished for him, eyes shifting back to Andrew. "Especially you."
Andrew flinched. "How do you know that?"
"Because your energy signature is the strongest."
Jiro stepped forward, his voice soft. "What did it plant in your heart? Anger? Or maybe… loneliness?"
Andrew's breathing quickened. His nails dug into his palm. "It makes me… powerful."
"Being powerful isn't a bad thing," Jiro said. "But power's like fire—it can warm you, or burn everything down."
Matt couldn't help but cut in. "What even is this rock?"
Jiro paused for a moment. "I'm not sure. But it's not from Earth."
Steve's eyes widened. "Alien tech?"
"Or something worse."
Jiro reached out and gently touched the crystal. Energy rippled outward from the point of contact, and a faint glow lit up his fingertips.
Suddenly, Andrew stepped forward. "Can you… take it away?"
Jiro looked at him. "Do you want me to?"
Andrew lowered his head, his voice barely audible. "I can't control myself… sometimes I just want everyone to shut up."
The cave went silent for a few seconds.
In his mind, Jiro asked, "System, can you absorb this thing?"
[Yes, Host! Just get close to it.]
Jiro pulled his hand back and looked at the three of them. "I can take it. But your powers won't disappear."
"What'll happen to Andrew?" Matt asked anxiously.
"That depends on him," Jiro said, turning to Andrew. "Power is a tool—not your master."
Andrew bit his lip and stayed silent.
Jiro didn't push him, just stood there quietly.
Finally, Andrew took a deep breath. "Please… take it away."
Jiro nodded and placed his hand on the crystal.
Suddenly, the crystal burst into a blinding light!
Ding! Alien energy radiation detected.
Analyzing... Resonance detected with host's biofield.
Telekinetic abilities integrating...
Jiro could feel his internal energy being restructured, a brand new force tingling through his nerves.
He focused and tried to lift a rock with his mind — and it floated up effortlessly, like it weighed nothing.
"Even finer control than the biofield…" he muttered to himself.
As he moved his thoughts, the blue light surged. The entire crystal shrank rapidly, finally transforming into a streak of light that sank into his palm.
Ding! Energy absorption complete.
Telekinetic module fused with biofield.
Biofield strength greatly enhanced!
The cave dimmed again, with only the flashlight beam cutting through the darkness.
"That's it?" Steve asked blankly.
"No," Jiro shook his head. "This is just the beginning."
He turned and walked toward the cave entrance. The other three instinctively followed. The night wind brushed past them, and starlight spilled over the four of them.
"If you want to learn how to control your powers," Jiro glanced back, the corner of his mouth slightly lifted,"I can help you."
Andrew finally raised his head. "You'll teach us?"
"I know a place," Jiro said with a faint smile."After all, every superpowered person needs a guide."
A faint golden light shimmered in his eyes as he activated his super vision, piercing through layers of obstacles until he locked onto a hidden estate on the outskirts of New York.
There, he could sense a unique kind of energy—something completely different from ordinary humans.
"Found it," he whispered, then glanced at the three young men. "You guys ready?"
Matt pushed up his glasses, voice trembling slightly. "Where are we going?"
"To a place that can help you."
Jiro smiled gently as his biofield expanded silently, wrapping around the three of them. "Hold on tight."
In the next second, the four of them lifted off the ground, soaring into the sky. The lights of New York quickly shrank beneath their feet.
Andrew clung tightly to Steve's arm, eyes wide with awe and excitement.
Matt let out a loud gasp, too stunned by the view to say anything else.
Wind howled past their ears, but the biofield blocked out most of it, allowing them to breathe comfortably and fly smoothly.
Jiro carefully controlled the speed to make sure none of them felt sick or overwhelmed.
"Wait—is that Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters?" Matt suddenly recognized their destination, his voice rising with excitement.
"Oh my god, that's the X-Men HQ!"
Steve's eyes went wide. "Hold up. You mean those mutants?"
Jiro didn't respond — he'd already sensed a strong psychic presence scanning them.
It was Charles Xavier — Professor X's mental probe.
When the four of them landed on the lawn in front of the mansion, a group of people was already there waiting.
Leading them was a bald man in a wheelchair, his gentle blue eyes gleaming with wisdom.
Behind him stood several members of the X-Men: Cyclops was adjusting his ruby quartz visor with a wary look; Storm's white hair fluttered in the night breeze; and Wolverine stood further back, half-hidden in the shadows, puffing on a cigar.
"Welcome. Should I call you... Superman?"Professor X's voice was calm and kind. "And these three young men — I can sense some unusual energy from all of you."
Jiro gave a small nod. "Charles, I've heard a lot about you. I'm Jiro — you can call me Jiro. These three accidentally got superpowers, but they've got no guidance."
He gave a brief rundown of the blue crystal, conveniently skipping the part about him absorbing the energy.
Professor X's gaze lingered on Andrew for a moment, a barely noticeable frown forming.
"I can feel the pain inside you, kid," he said gently. "But this place… can be your home."
Andrew instinctively took a step back, his fingers trembling slightly. "You can… read my thoughts?"
"Only the parts you're willing to share," Professor X replied kindly, then turned to Jiro.
"Thank you for bringing them here, Mr. Jiro. But I'm curious — how did you even find this place?"
Jiro smiled slightly. "Super vision and energy perception. Your mental barrier's strong, but the building still gives off a unique energy signature."
Cyclops stepped forward. "Professor, we should confirm his intentions."
"Relax, Scott," Professor X said, waving his hand. "If Mr. Jiro had any bad intentions, we'd already know."
He looked back at Jiro. "Why don't we go inside for some tea? I think we've got a lot to talk about."
Jiro nodded, and the group headed toward the mansion. Andrew and the other two were taken by Hank McCoy—aka Beast—to get settled in, while Jiro followed Professor X to his study.
Inside, Professor X poured them both some tea. "So, Mr. Jiro, besides bringing those three here, what's your real reason for coming?"
Jiro accepted the teacup and met Professor X's eyes directly. "To make a friend. Because if one day, this world faces a threat like nothing we've ever seen…we'll need to unite every force we've got."
"You're saying...?"
