Chapter 213 - 212: You are the Scum of the Group
Chapter 213: Chapter 212: You are the Scum of the Group
Su Jue stared at the message for a long time.
He recognized every single word, but the more he read them together, the less he understood. His mind felt sluggish, as if unable to think anymore.
What was this person talking about?
“What do you mean?” His fingers turned cold as he typed out this sentence.
The stock enthusiast eagerly explained, “Don’t you know? She is our mastermind; it’s her who has always been providing us with stock information.”
Su Jue was dumbfounded.
Then the chat group erupted with excitement, everyone chiming in.
“Are you trying to kick out Lu Mian, our mastermind, to disband the stock group?”
“Brother, have you lost it, or are you going to guide us in buying stocks instead?”
“I recommend a visit to neurology, psychiatry, and psychology for you!”
Shocked, Su Jue looked at his phone. A heavy pressure soared over his head, leaving him stunned, breathing rapidly, suffocating for air.
The mastermind worshiped as a deity by his fellow stock traders… was Lu Mian?
Was she the one who had been secretly guiding everyone’s stock trades?
So, was he reporting the very mastermind he had always relied on?
Su Jue pounded his chest fiercely and almost spat out a mouthful of blood.
While he was bewildered, the messages in the group chat soared rapidly to 99+.
“Are you reporting our mastermind because you think we’re easy to bully?”
“I remember you, a second-generation rich guy who sneaked into the group and then got kicked out! Oh snap, you broke the group rules yourself, and now you dare to report our mastermind. If you were beside me, I’d hit you every time I see you!”
“Criticizing the cook after a full meal, that’s exactly what you’re doing! Sneaking into the group, I wonder how much money you’ve made, not even looking at the group rules!”
All the group members were poor, gathered here plainly because Lu Mian was doing charity.
They held the mastermind as sacred, as a belief not to be desecrated, grateful from the bottom of their hearts.
Now someone had made a mistake and even brought “evidence” from the real world to slander their mastermind. This was unbearable, and they began hurling abuses as a token of ‘respect’.
“Get out! Scum!”
“You’re the real trash in our group, I’ve been tolerating you for too long!”
“The mastermind won’t release information because of what? Don’t look now, it’s because of you @Yao Jue. Mind you, take some AC!”
“A mere clown! We’re all watching your drama here!”
Actually, they hadn’t known who the mastermind was until two days ago when the group owner told them and asked them to play along with a scene, leading up to today’s spectacle.
A group of people had been holding back, all waiting for today!
After this verbal skirmish, Su Jue’s face was virtually shattered, he couldn’t care about anything else and hastily left the group.
He slumped into the chair, staring blankly at the ceiling.
Su Luo knocked on the door and came in, bringing Su Jue a can of Coke, “Bro, I heard some loud banging just now. What happened?”
Su Jue didn’t respond, looking very defeated and soulless.
Su Luo’s eyebrows raised slightly, sensing unease, “You didn’t do something again, did you?”
His silence confirmed Su Luo’s suspicions. She rushed over, her voice laced with anger, “Didn’t I tell you to stop? Did you go to the stock group to report Lu Mian?”
Su Luo frantically took Su Jue’s phone, grabbed his fingers, and after unlocking it, scrolled through his chat history.
She found nothing but a message about leaving the group.
“Bro, what the hell happened?!”
Her shouting finally snapped Su Jue back to reality. He grabbed Su Luo’s hands fiercely, shaking them intensely.
“Tell me, just who is Lu Mian? A few days ago, she was a coding master, and now a stock market guru? One moment winning twenty million in Go, the next a genius with full marks in all subjects… Who is she really, and how does she do it…”
