The Monarch

Chapter 643: The god Slayer

Kayden did not cease his attacks against the lizard god; he was unwavering in his will. There was not a single breath of relief that the lizard god could take—his strength was being drained little by little. Each lightning bolt carried the force of a full divine blow—a mere mortal was able to strike with the same power as a god. More precisely, it was even more terrifying: Kayden did not need to pause to launch attacks that would normally be considered extremely exhausting.A tiny being, less than two meters tall, was bending a god that spanned hundreds of kilometers. The lizard was not even capable of striking back at Kayden; its aura had been completely erased, while Kayden's divine presence grew ever larger. There was not a shred of mercy in his attacks—little by little, the lizard was being obliterated. The skies thundered without rest, but Kayden remained still, like an unshakable pillar. He did not need to move: his flawless technique manipulated forces so immense that the space around him cracked into black rifts. Each lightning bolt appeared from nowhere, precise and lethal, striking the lizard god without giving him a chance to retaliate. It was a silent massacre, where absolute power manifested in the stillness of a standing mortal.

The attacks of a mortal were completely consuming a god. It was like watching an ant topple an elephant with its body weight—it made no sense, yet it was happening right in front of all the gods. Information was one of the most valuable currencies that existed, and this event was being reported to every major organization possible."Your existence is no longer necessary." Kayden's laws had already fully infiltrated the lizard's mind. Kayden positioned himself as the superior being; his aura had already completely suppressed the lizard's existence. The universe witnessed, for the first time, one of the most unforgettable scenes ever enacted: the existence of a god was converted into energy. It was an explosion of energy so massive that it defied all logic. It went far beyond anything Kayden had ever imagined until that moment. Material things were simple and converted into small amounts of energy, but a god?An extremely complex being, nearing the absolute peak of greatness, he was practically a living embodiment of perfect laws. His existence was sustained by reality itself. He was eternal and immutable. The only way for a god to die was in battle; in any other scenario, he would exist for all eternity and beyond.Killing a god was one of the most difficult and complex feats imaginable. Any god was capable of insane measures to preserve their life. Moreover, they had to be completely crushed to have their life removed, and such a power discrepancy was considered extremely rare.At the moment of the explosion, the entirety of Atherion seemed to hold its breath. Space—once governed by rigid, immutable laws—began to twist as if in agony. The very rules that upheld the balance of the infinite world shattered, collapsing into chaotic spirals of pure energy. Entire regions of Atherion began to fail, with gravity reversing, time warping, and matter disintegrating for no reason. It was as if the death of the god had torn reality's structure, leaving behind only a storm of wild forces in place of order. It was only a tiny fracture compared to the full size of the planet. It was plausible considering the energy unleashed from a god's death. It was something far beyond what anyone had expected. A god being converted into energy had never been seen before. The god's soul vanished entirely. A god was a being with a soul that could not be reincarnated. Kayden had no idea where it had gone, nor did he care. He was too busy trying to absorb as much knowledge as possible from the situation. This caused him to miss the clouds beginning to form in the sky.All across Atherion, the skies turned golden—a clear sign that the Celestials were making an appearance. But this was rare, especially clouds that extended beyond the spiritual senses of most gods. What no one knew was that these clouds existed in every universe. In every tiny centimeter of the multiverse, golden clouds appeared. The situation caught everyone off guard—the reach of the heavens was insane. Not a single world was spared from the majestic clouds that now surrounded them. The pressure of the Celestials was felt on the skin of all mages, be they mortals or gods. For mortals, it was omnipotent. They were incapable of even moving their bodies at that moment. The very flow of time halted in respect for the highest beings in existence.Meanwhile, the gods had a bit more freedom. Most were able to move freely under the pressure of the heavens, but all of them knew this was merely a courtesy granted to the gods. The Celestials could simply crush them to their knees, and they wouldn't even be able to turn their eyes. The same thrones that everyone at the highest levels of power had seen at least dozens of times in their lives appeared. It was almost amusing how the ability to manipulate spatial laws allowed terrifying things to be done—for example, the thrones were being seen by all living beings, and yet all of them saw them as if they were at the center of the event."The Heavens acknowledge the feat of the Mortal Kayden Heart," the omnipotent voice rang in everyone's mind. "His first title is The Monarch of Monarchs and has etched his name into history." The weight of the title impressed itself into everyone's consciousness.Kayden was already recognized in practically a large part of the entire multiverse by this point. His story spread like wildfire—a mortal who managed to bend a tenth ray of the divine ascension process. It was completely absurd, and once again, he did something far beyond expectations. This time, his name spread across all of Atherion."Kayden Heart was the first mortal…" What followed forced every mage in existence to rethink their understanding of reality. "…to kill a god. The heavens crown him the Godslayer, the first to accomplish the impossible."
