The Multiverse Hunter

Chapter 203: Chapter 203

Lava Fist raised his head high, his determined gaze locking onto his Sensei with the eyes of a killer, the eyes of a man who had taken lives before and had no hesitation to do so again.

His muscles tensed, veins pulsing as he absorbed the reality of the moment.

A Death Duel.

There was no turning back now.

"Yes, Sensei. We will not let you or the Guild down."

His words were calm, steady, spoken with the resolve of a warrior prepared to die.

Then, with a final sharp bow, he turned away, stepping toward the long, descending stairs that led into the colosseum-like battlefield.

The other five martial artists followed closely behind, their expressions shifting from fear to forced determination, the reality of what awaited them weighing heavily on their every step.

The leader of the Martial Arts Guild, standing high in the spectator seats, watched them go.

His golden-hued robe shimmered under the arena's bright light, his sharp gaze locking onto Ali below, scanning the mysterious newcomer from head to toe.

His instincts, honed through decades of battle, whispered a single truth to him.

'Death, It reeks off him…'

His expression remained neutral, but internally, he was already accepting the inevitable outcome.

'I just lost six students in one day.'

There was no grief in his heart.

No anger.

Only mild disappointment.

'Oh well. I needed to trim down the trash anyway.'

He sat down slowly, his powerful aura causing those around him to rise immediately, heads bowing deeply before they quickly moved seats, giving him his respected space.

The Martial Arts Guild only respected strength.

And today, he was about to witness the death of weakness.

Meanwhile, the six martial artists were already halfway down the stairs, the crowd buzzing louder and louder, their whispers turning into excited murmurs as they watched the group descend into battle.

They tightened their wraps, adjusted their gear, and began discussing their final strategy.

Lava Fist spoke first, his voice commanding, sharp, and unwavering.

"We keep it simple. He's a Telepath. All Telepaths are strong as long as they have a higher Spirit stat than their target."

His knuckles scraped against the unbreakable arena walls, sparks flying from the friction.

"But don't forget one thing, this fight is six versus one."

He glanced at his teammates, his stern gaze forcing them to listen.

"He can't apply the same amount of power on all of us at once. That means whoever isn't under his control must attack him immediately to break his focus on the others."

Their faces tensed at his words, but he wasn't finished.

"If you're re under his control, fight back. Focus everything on reinforcing your body with Spirit. Use the Guild's technique. It will save your life."

He turned his attention to the two women in the group, Bliss and Sylf.

Bliss, the oldest of them, a woman in her mid-thirties, held a beaded chain tightly in her hands, her face pale but composed.

Sylf, younger, in her late twenties, adjusted her hand wraps, her eyes narrowed with anticipation.

"Bliss and Sylf, you two will be our ranged fighters.", Lava Fist's tone was strict, leaving no room for argument.

"Sylf, you'll take the assault rifle. Bliss, you'll be our healer. Sylf, if he targets Bliss, you stand in his way. You protect her with your life, understood?"

Both women nodded, though Lava Fist could see the fear in their eyes.

A Death Duel wasn't just a simple fight.

It was FINAL.

There was no safety net, no second chance.

The sheer reality of that made their steps heavier, but Lava Fist didn't stop moving forward.

He turned to the two men behind him, both younger martial artists, no older than twenty-five, their expressions hardened.

"You two are with me."

He clenched his fists, fire crackling along his wraps, the red engravings glowing fiercely.

The two mirrored his movements, their own flames sparking to life, albeit weaker in intensity.

"We rush him at the same time. We kill him. Be ferocious. Be ruthless. You are fighting for your lives, leave everything out there."

His final words rang in their ears as the bright arena lights shone on them.

They had entered the battlefield.

The colosseum erupted with noise.

Over 200,000 players had now filled the massive stands, every single one of them having paid PC to watch this fight.

This was entertainment.

This was the Second Level's sport.

And Ali

Ali was the centre of it.

Above, Toto's voice rang out.

"Are you ready?"

His words electrified the audience, sending waves of anticipation rippling through the air.

Bliss dropped to her knees, clutching her beaded chain tightly, her lips moving in a low, whispered prayer.

"Hear my prayer and protect your loyal servants"

A fascinating brown light pulsed from her body, illuminating her hands, then…

SPREADING.

The light shot into Lava Fist and his two frontline fighters, their muscles instantly enlarging, their tendons tightening, their reflexes sharpening.

Ali watched from his position, his black eyes calmly analysing the effect.

'Empowerment?'

His gaze shifted to Bliss, who was still gathering more energy, her power accumulating steadily.

For a brief second, Ali's focus flickered inward.

Checking his Spirit Pond.

Full.

The moment his last duel ended, his Spirit had been completely restored.

Meaning he could go all out.

He looked back at his opponents

"FIGHT!"

RATATATATATATATA!

The instant Toto's voice echoed, Sylf ripped out an AK-47 and opened fire, sending a hail of bullets flying at Ali.

Ali flicked his fingers.

A sudden burst of invisible energy sent the bullets flying off course, scattering them harmlessly into the sand.

Then, without warning—

Ali twitched his finger again.

The rifle was ripped from Sylf's hands, yanked violently through the air.

At the same time…

Lava Fist and his two frontline fighters were already sprinting toward Ali, their burning fists radiating heat, flames crackling wildly as they closed the distance.

Lava Fist's sharp instincts flared as he saw the rifle flying toward Ali.

Without hesitation, he leapt into the air.

Twisting his body—

He punched forward, unleashing a blazing sphere of red flame.

BOOM!

The fireball collided with the rifle, destroying it mid-air before it could reach Ali.

Sylf, now weaponless, clenched her fists.

She had two options…

Stay with Bliss, who was still praying, still accumulating power, or join the fight in close-quarters combat.

Her choice was made for her.

"STAY!"

Lava Fist's shouted command echoed as he and his men closed the final gap.

Ali still hadn't moved.

Not a single step.

Then—

As they closed in, Ali arched his foot slightly.

A single thought passed through his mind—

'Just a little more'

"NOW!" Lava Fist yelled, sensing the moment.

The three launched at him simultaneously, forming a deadly triangle, their burning fists aimed at his head, heart, and back.

Then—

WOOSH.

Ali vanished upward.

Flying.

"HE CAN FLY?"

Lava Fist's scream echoed through the arena.

Lava Fist's eyes widened in shock as he watched Ali soar into the air, effortlessly escaping their trap.

This wasn't supposed to happen.

None of them had prepared for this.

His mind raced, desperately trying to recalculate the fight in real time.

Then—

A terrifying realisation hit him.

"SHIT!"

Ali's black eyes locked onto his next targets—

Bliss and Sylf.

The two women, still positioned further back, were completely exposed.

And now—

Ali was diving straight for them.

Ali streaked through the air like a missile, his black uniform billowing behind him, his cold expression never changing.

Sylf saw him coming.

Her heart pounded violently, but she refused to panic.

"Focus," she told herself.

Ali was twenty meters above them, descending fast.

"I have to stop him."

Her hands tightened into fists, and glowed a deep green as she took her stance and waited for Ali to get closer while Bliss continued to prey and accumulate more and more of the brown energy.
