The New God Of Destruction

{Super Timeline: Universe 7 Earth}

Back in the Super timeline of universe 7, the Time Machine used by Goku, Vegeta and Trunks to head to the future returned back to the proper timeline where both Goku and Vegeta's family as well as the destroyer Beerus and his Angel Attendant/ Mentor Whis were.

"Hrrm? They are back already? Did they manage to kill this Goku Black that quickly? Or did they perhaps fail and had to run away?"

The Destroyer Beerus questioned with mild surprise as Whis replied.

"My Lord it's not really surprising that it took such a short amount of time. After all, they did travel through time."

Beerus rolled his eyes at Whis's words waving a dismissive hand.

"Yeah. Yeah. I know what you're saying Whis. In a nutshell it's all just time shenanigans. Interestingly, I don't sense Trunks presence. Either they truly did succeed in defeating Black or Trunks covered for them to return to this timeline. And if that wasn't interesting enough, they seem to have grown significantly stronger then when they had left to the future."

The Destroyer commented offhandedly while munching on some food prepared for him and Whis. And as the time machine opened up, out came both Goku and Vegeta who wore complicated expressions on their faces as Whis welcomed them.

"Goku-San, Vegeta-San. It's good to see you both have returned safely from the future. Although, judging by the expression on your faces, I take it something happened in the future that's caused you both to wear such an expression? Did you both fail to defeat Goku Black?"

The first to reply was Vegeta.

"We didn't have to defeat him. By the time we arrived he was completely erased from existence."

Vegeta's comment got everyone's attention as they looked to him for a clearer explanation on what he just said. Vegeta wanting to get things over with continued.

"There was a Destroyer in the future timeline that beat us to Black and killed him."

At that, both Beerus and Whis wore shocked expressions as Beerus questioned.

"Was it my future counterpart that aided you?"

But Vegeta shook his head as Goku continued.

"The Destroyer that killed Goku Black was a Saiyan named Jin Mori."

"A Saiyan!?"

Goku's words elicited probably the most shocked expressions on both Beerus and Whis as Beerus questioned.

"I don't recall any Saiyan being strong enough to take over the position of a Destroyer in any of the universes. Let alone one named Jin Mori."

Beerus's eyes narrowed as he spoke.

"Unless…. Whis, what do you think of this?"

Whis hummed with interest as he spoke.

"It's probably as you thought my Lord. This Jin Mori is probably from an entirely different timeline."

Whis proceeded to question Goku and Vegeta more about this God they met in the future.

"I would assume you both had a chance to chat with this destroyer correct? If so, did he tell you which Universe he governs over?"

Goku shook his head replying to Whis's question.

"All we really know is that he's from a different timeline."

Vegeta continued after Goku sharing his insights.

"However, interestingly he admitted in his timeline he had known me since birth meaning he's from universe 7 and not 6."

Beerus hummed in interest as he asked a question that's gotten him curious.

"Did you two morons get a feel for his power? If so, how would he compare to me?"

Goku just bluntly answered.

"He's strong. Increadibly strong. I'm even willing to say that he's far stronger than yourself Lord Beerus."

Goku's words caused gasps of surprise to be heard from everyone present as Beerus frowned and questioned

"Come again?"

This time it was Vegeta who answered.

"When we first met him, he was using a technique called Ultra Instinct."

Beerus's ears twitched slightly at the name as his frown deepened and Whis wore an even more shocked expression.

"Ultra Instinct? He told you he was using the Ultra Instinct? You better not be lying to me Saiyan. If what you said was true and he is an old acquaintance of yours even if in another timeline, this means he should be somewhere around your age now. Meaning he'd be far too young to make such an outrageous statement such as having the ability to use Ultra Instinct."

The mere mention of a mortal, a saiyan no less, not even in his 40's already having learnt Ultra Instinct was such a shocking revelation that Beerus temporarily forgot about Goku's claim that this Mori Jin was stronger than himself. Meanwhile at the destroyer's words, Vegeta scoffed as he replied.

"I have no reason to lie. Myself and Kakarrot even heard the Whis of the future timeline confirming it was Ultra Instinct."

Goku nodded his head in support causing Beerus's even further irritation. Whis taking notice of Beerus's growing irritation decided to step in and begin asking the two saiyans his own questions.

"If you don't mind me asking, did he ever explain what exactly Ultra Instinct is? Or even anything else interesting you may have learned about this Saiyan?"

Goku nodded his head excitedly as he replied to Whis.

"He told us it's a technique that allows one to react and dodge attacks without having to conciously think. He also told us that you are always in a state of Ultra Instinct and that it requires a calm heart and a clear mind to be able to properly use it."

Whis hummed as he replied.

"I guess that's a rough explanation of what Ultra Instinct is. And if myself from the future timeline confirmed he was using Ultra Instinct, it must be true then. Furthermore, you both claimed this Jin Mori was stronger than Lord Beerus. Did something significant happen for you both to come to such a conclusion?"

Whis's question caused Beerus to blink suddenly remembering about the earlier claim as well as Vegeta answered.

"How about the fact that he was powerful enough to outclass Whis while not even using Ultra Instinct."

"WHAT!?"

The reactions were all the same as Vegeta continued.

"To keep things short, in the timeline he's from his mother was killed by Frieza, and some strange individual named Fu showed him a video of her death sending him into a fit of rage. The future Whis tried to calm him down, but instead got attacked by Mori Jin. Soon enough where it seemed like Whis had the upper hand Mori Jin grew even faster and stronger eventually surpassing the future Whis and beating him up. The situation was so dire an Angel named the Grand Minister had to step in to save us all."

Vegeta's words caused both Whis and Beerus to wear dumfounded expressions. The Grand Minister had to personally step in?

"Yeah. Apparently a new angelic law was even implemented because of Jin Mori. He said that since there had never actually been a case where a God Of Destruction had surpassed their Angel Mentor, he had to make an entirely new rule. Could you imagine how strong he must be for someone as powerful as that Grand Minister guy to compliment like that?"

Goku spoke excitedly. But Beerus was annoyed by Goku's words pulling on his ear as he spoke.

"You listen here you brain dead buffon. Don't you dare call the Grand Minister as guy. He's the attendant of the Omni-King Grand Zeno, and not someone you can casually just act all buddy-buddy with you hear me?"

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow! Lord Beerus that hurts!"

Meanwhile as Beerus continued insulting Goku, Whis looked to Vegeta as he questioned.

"Setting aside the fact that the Grand Minister had gotten involved, I'm surprised he didn't take action against either of you or Trunks for messing with time travel especially since it's forbidden by Divine Law."

Vegeta nodded courtly as he replied.

"He warned us saying that just this once he will let us all off the hook, and that the next time we time travel Mori Jin will be in charge of handling us for breaking the Divine Law."

Whis frowned noticing Vegeta's face that was full of a sort of frustration and anger as he questioned.

"I take it you also learned about something else that's been putting you on edge from the moment you both returned?"

Vegeta remained silent for a few seconds before turning his gaze to Beerus as he questioned.

"Lord Beerus. Is it true that you ordered Frieza to annihilate Planet Vegeta?"

Beerus who had been busy hurling insults and beating Goku up paused temporarily surprised by Vegeta's question as he threw Goku to the side and answered with a calm and almost bored tone.

"So you found out the truth huh? That's right. I'm the one who ordered Frieza to wipe out the Saiyans. Don't tell me all this time you believed it was Fate that ended the Saiyans reign? Are you just going to accept that?"

Vegeta's body trembled in anger as he spoke.

"Y-You utter SCUM!"

Vegeta yelled in fury his fists clenched and teeth gritted in anger. He couldn't lash out at Beerus now with his family nearby. However, Beerus's next words froze him.

"Why do you seem to care so much? As far as I'm concerned you don't actually care that your people were killed. It's just probably a blow to your pride that Frieza destroyed your entire race not out of fear but out of the orders of a higher power.

Besides that, everything the Saiyans did in the past, what's it got to do with you? As long as your trapped by the past, you'll never be able to grow beyond your current level of power.

It's why between you two, Goku is capable of growing much more faster than yourself because he isn't tied down by his past."

Beerus's words caused Vegeta to snap as he transformed into his Super Saiyan Blue and vanished from where he stood.

"Oh?"

Beerus looked amused as he sensed the massive difference in power from before Vegeta had left to the future and when he had returned.

"Unfortunately for you though, all that power of yours still means nothing before my presence."

Beerus caught Vegeta's fist as the air pressure caused everyone to fly back except Goku and Whis as Beerus mocked.

"Tell me Vegeta. What does that title of yours even represent at this point? Your entire species with the exception of your own child and dunce head over there next to Whis and his family."

Beerus's words earned an amused snort from Bulma, and a light chuckle from Whis as Beerus continued.

"Your still too caught up with a past title that holds no more weight. If you wish to improve further, change that mindset of yours.

Embrace the mindset of the Gods of Destruction. Destruction is ever-present in our thoughts—that is why we are so powerful, with no limits to our strength. I assume this Jin Mori is the same. As a God of Destruction, his mind must never stray from destruction. Yet, the tranquility required to maintain Ultra Instinct, alongside the chaotic nature of constant destructive thought, proves his ability to balance his mindset.

However, you are not him. The mentality you both possess is vastly different. Do not waste your time trying to comprehend or imitate the mindset of this particular Destroyer—find your own path. Take pride in your heritage, but do not let that pride blind or shackle you to your past as a prince."

Beerus raised a palm towards Vegeta's stomach as he spoke.

"Now get away from my line of sight. *Hakai*."

A ball of purple destructive energy shot out of his palm making contact with Vegeta's armour blowing a hole in his armour and sending him flying away. But other than his armour being destroyed, Vegeta was completely fine.

Beerus looked surprised as he spoke.

"Oh? It seems like you became a more durable punching bag. Good for you Vegeta." Beerus mocked before yawning as he called out to Whis.

"*Yawn* Hey Whis. Let's go back for today. I'm bored and tired. Also, have Bulma pack me some food to go."

Whis nodded his head.

"As you wish my lord. Miss Bulma if you'd please?"

Bulma looked back between Beerus and her husband sighing as she nodded her head and went to pack some food for both Beerus and Whis.

As Whis began walking towards Beerus, the Destroyer seemed to suddenly remember something as he turned to Goku and questioned.

"Oi Goku. Did the Grand Minister say anything about the time machine?"

Goku blinked in surprise for a few seconds before pondering as he replied.

"Yeah he did actually. He wanted us to destroy the Time Machine as soon as we returned."

Beerus hummed as he spoke raising his palm.

"Then let's not waste anymore time, I'll destroy this machine right here and now as per the Grand Minister's instructions."

As a purple ball of Destructive Energy formed in Beerus's palm, Goku stood in front of the Destroyer hands stretched out as he spoke.

"Hold on Lord Beerus don't destroy it just yet! I actually need it for something really, really important!"

Beerus looked irritated as he questioned.

"And what could possibly be so important that you would have me go against the Grabd Minister's request?"

Goku looked serious as he replied.

"I have a promise to Zenny-Chan to find him someone who can be his friend and keep him entertained. Do you really want me to break my promise to the Omni-King?"

"Guh!"

Beerus gritted his teeth in disbelief. Goku, the brawn for brain Saiyan has put the Destroyer between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, the destruction of the time machine was at the request of the Grand Minister Himself even if from the future.

But on the other hand, if he Destroys the machine Goku can't use it to return to the future to find the Grand Zeno a friend to keep him company and keep his promise which is equally as bad.

In the end Beerus extinguished his sphere of Destructive energy as he spoke.

"Fine. Go ahead and use the machine to fulfill your promise to the Omni King. But just understand I take no responsibility for your actions if the Grand Minister from the future punishes you understand?"

Goku grinned nodding his head as he spoke.

"You got it Lord Beerus! Thanks for listening to me!"

Beerus just grumbled in annoyance as Whis carries a bag full of food approaching Beerus and standing next to him as he bid farewell.

"Goodbye everyone, I do hope you all a wonderful day."

And like that they disappeard in a brilliant flash of rainbow light. And as they traveled back to the Destroyers Planet, Whis questioned.

"What do you think of everything we've just learned today milord? That there is a Saiyan with potential so great at not even 40 years of age, he has already surpassed even myself while being capable of using Ultra Instinct."

Beerus clicked his tongue as he answered.

"Shit up. It's got nothing to do with me anyways and he's from a completely different timeline both to our own, and the future one. But if the day ever cane, I'd definitely love to meet this destroyer for myself just to see how strong he truly is for myself."

Whis chuckled softly as he replied.

"Who knows, maybe if Grand Zeno decided one day to hold a Universal Martial Art's tournament, we may in fact get to meet this incredible destroyer named Jin Mori."

-(Scene Break)-

Back on Earth after both Beerus and Whis had left, Goku turned to Vegeta as he requested.

"Hey Vegeta. Think you can bring me back to the future? I want to fulfill my promise to Zenny-Chan, and I think I know how to accomplish that."

Vegeta who had been lying on the floor after Beerus's attacks remained still for several seconds before he scoffed and replied.

"No. I'm not taking any risk going back to the future especially with a moron such as yourself. If you want to drag yourself to an early grave, be my guest, but don't drag me into your nonsense."

Goku frowned turning to Bulma who vehemently shook her head an cross her arms.

"Oh no. I'm very much curious about the future timeline and this Jin Mori you talked about earlier, but if there's even a slight chance I get dragged into your mess, there's no way, I want to go with you either."

Bulma paused before sighing.

"However, I will set the coordinates myself, and afterwards, your on your own in the future alright?"

Goku's eyes widened in surprise at Bulma's words as he grinned and pumped his fist into the air.

"Hell yeah Bulma your the best! Thanks a lot!"

Bulma just rolled her eyes with a hiff as she responded.

"Yeah. Yeah. Repay my favour by coming back alive and in one piece. The last thing I want is for Chi-Chi to lose her husband alright?"

Goku nodded his head seriously as he replied.

"I promise."

And with that, everyone watched as Bulma set the coordinates onto the time machine begore being brought down by her son as the time machine slowly floated knto the air before disappearing from the present and travelling to the future.
