The Omnipotent System

Chapter 215: The Omni's

In a boundless expanse where shadows flickered like stars, Magnus sat down in the void as though a throne had always been there for him. He leaned back, looking almost bored, but the faint smirk on his lips told a different story. The air around him pulsed with a strange, quiet energy.

A voice broke the stillness, smooth and female, but sharp enough to cut through the silence. "I thought you were told to stay far away from the boy and his sister."

Magnus tilted his head, the smirk growing into something more mischievous. "Oh, I wasn't planning on getting too involved," he said, his tone light, almost mocking. "Just wanted to test the waters. Maybe even extend an invitation to join our ranks. He'd be a great addition to the Omni race."

There was a long pause before another voice joined the conversation, this one masculine and clearly irritated. "Stop calling me that," the voice growled. "I didn't agree to that name for our species."

Magnus let out a quiet laugh, brushing some invisible dust off his perfectly tailored suit. "Come on, it has a nice ring to it. Omni—you know, all-powerful, all-knowing. Fits us like a glove."

The female voice returned, colder this time. "You overstep, Magnus. That boy isn't like the others. You knew he'd see through your games, and you still went ahead with it."

Magnus shrugged, unfazed. "I had to see for myself. It's not every day you come across someone who's actually beyond us. Besides…" His smirk turned into a grin. "It was fun. He wasn't even trying, and I still couldn't get a read on him. That's rare."

The masculine voice sighed heavily, frustration lacing every word. "You're going to bring trouble our way, Magnus. Playing with someone like him is dangerous."

Magnus waved a hand dismissively, as if brushing off the warning. "Relax. He's not interested in us, remember? He made that painfully clear." He leaned forward slightly, his grin turning into something more thoughtful. "But I'll admit… he's got something. Something I haven't seen in anyone else. And that's exactly why I wanted him."

The female voice spoke again, softer now but no less serious. "And what happens when your little 'game' drags us into something we're not ready for?"

Magnus leaned back in his invisible throne, resting his head against his hand. "Then we adapt, like we always do. Don't worry so much. If anything, this little encounter just proved how far ahead of us he is. He doesn't see us as a threat. If anything…" He chuckled. "He probably thinks we're amusing."

The voices fell silent for a moment, the void around them seeming to pulse with unspoken tension. Finally, the masculine voice broke the quiet. "You're reckless, Magnus. But if you've brought any attention to us… you'll deal with the consequences."

Magnus raised an eyebrow, his grin never fading. "Oh, I'm not worried. If he wanted to do something, he would've done it already. The God of Gods isn't exactly subtle."

The female voice gave a quiet sigh. "Just don't push your luck. We've survived this long by staying out of sight. Don't forget that."

Magnus waved his hand lazily, shadows swirling around him like smoke. "Noted. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have better things to do than listen to lectures."

The void shifted, the flickering shadows dimming as Magnus leaned back, closing his eyes. His grin remained, as though he'd already started planning his next move.

Adams sat comfortably on his new throne, a towering structure of gold and obsidian that seemed to hum with power. It wasn't something he'd asked for, but the gods had insisted—after everything he'd done, they said he deserved a seat fitting of his status. The God of Gods, they called him. The title felt unnecessary to him, but he didn't argue. Let them have their ceremonies and rituals if it made them feel better.

Before him, the gods of every pantheon knelt in silence, their heads bowed in reverence. The great hall, vast and echoing, was filled with an almost tangible sense of awe. No one dared to speak. Even the most prideful among them, like Zeus and Odin, were on their knees, their usual arrogance stripped away.

Adams leaned back in his throne, resting his chin on one hand as he observed the scene before him. "Well, this is new," he muttered to himself, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes.

With a snap of his fingers, the air shifted, and seven additional thrones materialized on either side of him. They were as unique as the women who now appeared, each throne reflecting their essence. Mabel was the first to appear, seated gracefully on a throne of white marble veined with gold, her presence serene but commanding. Beside her, Enigma sat on a dark, shadowy throne that seemed to absorb light, her sharp gaze taking in everything with quiet intensity.

Lilith's throne was carved from crimson stone, flames dancing along its edges, matching the fierce smirk on her lips. Inara appeared next, her throne made of shimmering starlight and entwined vines, a soft, radiant energy surrounding her. Akira's throne was sleek and black, faint embers glowing beneath its surface, reflecting her fiery and mysterious aura.

Nyx's throne was cloaked in eternal night, stars twinkling faintly across its surface as if the universe itself had folded around her. Lastly, Aveline appeared on a throne of crystal that refracted light into a thousand colors, her elegance as dazzling as the throne she sat upon.

The gods, still bowing, barely dared to look up, but their awe deepened as they sensed the presence of Adams's wives. Together, they radiated a power so overwhelming it was almost suffocating.

Adams glanced at his wives and gave a small, satisfied nod. "Comfortable?" he asked casually.

Mabel smiled softly, her voice calm. "More than."

Lilith leaned forward slightly, resting her chin on her hand. "This is quite the show you've put together, Adams. I like it."

Akira chuckled, her nine tails flicking lazily behind her. "Didn't think I'd enjoy this kind of thing, but it's... entertaining."

Enigma stayed silent, her lips curling into a faint smirk, while Inara and Aveline exchanged knowing looks, their eyes sparkling with amusement.

Adams turned his attention back to the kneeling gods. He waved a hand dismissively. "Stand up," he said, his tone relaxed but firm. "I'm not a fan of all this bowing and scraping. Speak your minds."

The gods hesitated, exchanging uncertain glances, but one by one, they rose to their feet. Zeus was the first to step forward, his usual bravado tempered by a rare show of humility.

"Lord Adams," Zeus began, his voice steady but respectful. "We stand before you today not out of fear, but out of recognition. You have done what none of us could. You have brought balance where there was chaos. For that, we owe you our thanks... and our loyalty."

A murmur of agreement rippled through the gathered gods, though none dared to interrupt Zeus as he spoke.

Adams raised an eyebrow, leaning forward slightly. "Loyalty, huh? You're all free to make your choices. I'm not here to rule over anyone. Do what you want—just don't cause any more problems. I've got better things to do than clean up after you."

The gods nodded, their expressions a mix of relief and respect. It wasn't the answer they'd expected, but it was one they could accept.

As the gods began to disperse, murmuring among themselves, Adams leaned back in his throne, glancing at his wives. "Well," he said, a small grin tugging at his lips. "That went better than I thought."

Lilith smirked. "You handled that well. Almost like you've done this before."

"Maybe," Adams said, his grin widening. "Or maybe I'm just good at winging it."
