Chapter 25: Chapter – 23 Extra Demon Gathering: Bova Tannin is Gay?

A/N: The current MC, being less than 5 years old, has a youthful appearance and long hair, giving him a somewhat androgynous or 'trap-like' look. As a result, it's not surprising that certain 'uninformed,' 'innocent' children who haven't heard of him and haven't met him mistake him for a cute girl.

.

.

["On the left side, we have the young, talented, and exceptionally cute heir of the House Belphegor looking calmly at his opponent! And on the right side, we have the hotblooded youngest son of the former Dragon King, Tannin, ready to pommel down his enemy! Let's hear it for these two young competitors in this Exhibition Match!"]

"Bwahahaha! Are you ready to have your entire body crushed beneath my foot?" bellowed the hotblooded dragon with a triumphant grin as he readied himself to spew out fire from his mouth.

"I'm afraid your 'foot' isn't quite big enough for such a feat," Seir replied with a casual shrug.

"Grrrr… still mocking me, are you? I'll make sure to teach you a lesson that you won't forget for the rest of your miserable life!" growled the young dragon, grinding his teeth in fury.

Watching the young dragon lose his composure with every taunt, Seir let out a weary sigh. Shaking his head, he muttered, "Ugh… how did it come to this? I was just looking for Roygun..."

To understand how Seir ended up facing off against the youngest son of the former Dragon King Tannin, let's rewind the clock a few minutes.

.

.

After escaping from Vermeil and Finea, Seir began searching for Roygun. "Where is sister...?" he muttered to himself.

Compared to Vermeil and Finea, who had been engrossed in discussing their Sex lives as Succubi, Seir thought spending time with Roygun would be far better. However, a thought quickly struck him. 'Ugh... but she's probably busy greeting and conversing with the heads and representatives of various households. If I tag along, I'll have to do the same…'

'No, I definitely don't want to deal with that.' The idea of repeatedly greeting high-society figures and introducing himself to them felt exhausting to him.

For someone like him, who had never been particularly social, mingling with so many people—especially nobles—would undoubtedly be mentally exhausting. Seir had no desire to greet them or engage in conversation.

It wouldn't have been so bad if something interesting were happening at the gathering, but the real issue was that nothing was going on—it was just people interacting with other people, and even that was incredibly dull. For adults, engaging in conversation made sense since they were likely discussing business, politics, the economy, and other things. But what was he supposed to do?

'I mean, I could talk business with them… I do plan to set up a few businesses of my own to not have to always rely on the wealth of my Household… but, yeah, as expected, I really don't want to discuss it with strangers and unfamiliar people,' Seir thought, shaking his head.

If he were an orphan with no family or connections to support his business ambitions, that might have been the obvious route. But as someone backed by the House of Belphegor and, if necessary, the House of Eisheth-Zenunim, he didn't need to rely on outsiders for support. Sharing his business ideas with strangers only to have them stolen before he could even begin was a risk he wasn't willing to take.

This left him with nothing to do, leaving him completely idle.

'Now that I think about it, why did I even come to this so-called Extra Demon Gathering?' Seir thought regretfully. It would have been much better to stay at home and do something more enjoyable.

'There were countless things I could have done if I'd just stayed back at the castle, but no... I just had to come to this stupid gathering of Extra Demons,' Seir lamented inwardly with a sigh.

But it was already too late for regrets—he had already come to the Extra Demon gathering. Now, he had no choice but to endure the boredom until the gathering concluded or his family was ready to leave.

As Seir strolled through the hall, lost in thought, he failed to notice that he had caught the attention of a certain group of young dragons with peculiar intentions.

"Boss… look at her," one of them muttered, nudging their leader.

"I've never seen anyone as beautiful as her…" another added.

"She's perfect to be your bride," the third chimed in eagerly.

Their so-called boss, standing at the center of the group, squinted toward the figure his minions were pointing out. "Huh… she really is…" The moment his eyes landed on 'her' face, his expression changed. Hearts practically glimmered in his eyes, and his heartbeat quickened. "The one…" he whispered, utterly entranced. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say he was completely smitten by a level of otherworldly cuteness, unlike anything he had ever encountered before.

"She'd make the perfect bride for you, wouldn't she, Boss?" the first dragon repeated, nudging his leader with a grin.

"Cough…" The Dragon 'Boss' cleared his throat, a light blush creeping onto his face from embarrassment and shyness. Despite his flustered state, he couldn't deny the sentiment and found himself sneaking more glances at the 'girl.'

Pearly white hair cascading down to 'her' hips, a slender and petite frame, flawless fair skin, blood-red eyes, crimson horns, and a matching tail... To the 'Boss,' the 'girl' was the embodiment of perfection—an incarnation of pure beauty.

Seeing that their 'Boss' shared their sentiment and seemed smitten by the 'girl,' the minions exchanged knowing smiles and began encouraging him.

"Boss, you should go and talk to her…" one suggested eagerly.

"Yeah, let her see your cool side!" another chimed in.

"Huh? But… what if… what if she rejects me?" The young dragon leader hesitated, uncertainty flickering across his face.

"There's no way she'd reject you!"

"She'd have to be blind to turn you down!"

"Just think about it—so muscular, so powerful, so honorable… and you're the son of Lord Tannin! No woman would reject you!" they assured him, building up his confidence.

Hearing his minions shower him with praise, the young dragon exhaled a puff of smoke from his nostrils and straightened his posture, puffing out his chest with pride. Their words resonated with him, and he couldn't help but agree—there was no way any woman would reject him. After all, he was not only strong but also undeniably handsome. She'd have to be blind to say no to his advances.

"All right… I'm going for it," declared the young dragon, raising his chin with newfound confidence as he strode toward the silent, expressionless 'girl' moving through the hall.

"Good luck, Boss!"

"We're rooting for you!"

"Bring us back a sister-in-law!"

The minions cheered enthusiastically from behind.

.

.

Dragons are peculiar creatures known for acting on their desires with complete freedom and selfishness—a trait widely recognized not only in the Underworld but across various mythologies.

Seir, who has a keen interest in dragons, was well aware of this characteristic of their race.

Despite his knowledge and understanding of dragons, Seir couldn't quite discern the intentions of the young dragon who approached him, tail swaying and nostrils releasing puffs of smoke. The dragon stopped in front of him, standing akimbo and looking down at him with a commanding presence.

Although the dragon was still young, he towered over Seir, standing three to four times taller with a fierce expression. An ordinary child might have been intimidated by such a figure looming over them, but Seir was instead left feeling puzzled as he looked up at the dragon, trying to make sense of the situation.

"You are…" murmured Seir with a slight frown. While he couldn't immediately discern the young dragon's intentions, he did begin to recognize his identity. Internally, he thought, 'He should be one of the sons of the former Dragon King, Tannin…'

"I am Bova… Bova Tannin," declared the young dragon proudly, puffing out his chest with confidence.

The distinct purple hue of his dragon scales as well as those Golden Dragon horns were clear giveaways to his lineage.

Additionally, the young dragon bore a striking resemblance to the former Dragon King, Tannin, whom Seir had seen numerous times while watching Rating Games. Thus, it was no surprise when his suspicion that the young dragon was one of Tannin's sons was confirmed.

"Bova Tannin…?" Seir murmured, slightly taken aback upon realizing that the young dragon before him was none other than the former Dragon King's youngest son.

'Wasn't Bova Tannin known as a ruffian and delinquent who constantly caused trouble and sought out powerful opponents to fight? Has he approached me to stir up trouble as well?' Seir wondered, eyeing the young dragon warily. With a slight frown, he questioned, "What… do you want?"

"I… I… I… L… L… Li—" Bova stammered, his deep purple face visibly turning a shade of red as steam began to rise from it.

Watching the unusual sight of steam escaping from Bova's face, Seir raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's going on with your face?" He felt a bit unsettled and pondered, 'This isn't a normal thing with dragons, right?' However, he couldn't be entirely sure. After all, just moments ago, Bova had been snorting smoke from his nostrils. Perhaps generating steam from his face wasn't out of the question either.

The sight of Bova standing in front of Seir, stammering as steam rose from his face, was anything but normal. Naturally, it began to draw the attention of nearby Devils, who turned their curious gazes toward the scene, wondering what was happening.

'Ugh…' Seir inwardly groaned, feeling the weight of so many eyes on him. With a sigh, he scratched the back of his head, his expression reflecting his growing annoyance. Seeing that Bova was still struggling to get his words out, Seir let out another sigh and said, "Well, if there's nothing you need, I'll be on my way…" before turning to leave.

The moment Seir started walking away, Bova panicked. His eyes darted toward his minions, who frantically gestured for him to speak up before it was too late. Clenching his fists, he gave a determined nod, closed his eyes, and then, at the top of his lungs, shouted— "I LIKE YOU! BECOME MY WOMAN!"

After making his bold declaration, Bova took deep breaths—Haah… Haah…—as if he had just completed the most difficult task in the world.

'Wait… was that a proposal?'

'That's the third son of Tannin… but who did he just propose to?'

'Huh… that child? Isn't that…?'

Bova's bold declaration had drawn even more attention, and soon, the number of onlookers grew. One by one, conversations hushed as all eyes in the hall turned toward the unfolding scene.

Not caring about the onlookers, Bova, with his heart pounding in anticipation waited for a response.

But he waited… and waited… and yet, no reply came.

Confused, Bova hesitantly opened his eyes to gauge Seir's reaction, only to be taken aback. Instead of the expected blush or a flustered response, Seir's eyes had shrunk into tiny dots, frozen in sheer disbelief. 'What? Is he an idiot, or is he trying to mess with me?' He didn't know, nor did he care…

With a deep frown, he murmured to himself, "And here I thought humans were the ones who introduced the sexuality beyond straight male and female... but it seems Dragons have that too, huh? I don't know why Dragons would engage in something so pointless… But, now that I think about it, Ophis is genderless, so maybe it isn't surprising that there also exist dragons that are gay…" But no matter how much he thought about it, something felt off. Being genderless and being gay were two entirely different concepts.

"Anyway…" After a brief moment of silence, Seir finally snapped out of his daze and turned his attention back to Bova, who was eagerly awaiting his response. Hesitating for a second, Seir decided to ask the young dragon directly, "Are you gay?"

"Gay?" Bova murmured in confusion. It was the first time he had ever heard the term. Despite his reputation as a troublemaker, in certain aspects, he was still quite innocent. Naturally, he had no idea what 'gay' meant.

However, not wanting to appear clueless in front of the woman he had taken a liking to, Bova made a bold choice. Even without understanding the word's meaning, he nodded with confidence. "Yes… I am gay…"

Seir's eye twitched at the response, 'Are you for real?' He stared at Bova as if looking at someone utterly pitiful. With a sigh, he patted the young dragon on the shoulder. "It's alright… I may not be one, and I probably can't understand what it's like to be one, nor do I want to understand what it's like to be one… but I won't judge, I promise. It's just that I'd recommend trying on someone else who 'fits' your alley and is willing to 'fill' your alley…" and added after a pause, "Anyway, I wish you luck, and I hope you find happiness…"

Leaving behind these words, Seir turned and began to walk away, leaving behind a confused and stunned Bova, "Huh?"

.

.

Watching Seir walk away, Bova scratched his head in confusion. He couldn't understand what had just happened or why 'she' had left without giving him a response.

"Is it because she's shy?" he wondered to himself, scratching his head.

As he stood there, he began to notice the way the surrounding people were looking at him. But instead of admiration or curiosity, he sensed… pity.

'What's up with all these people?' he thought, feeling a strange discomfort from their gazes. He was just about to shout at them for minding their own damn business when suddenly, his three minions ran up to him, their expressions filled with concern.

"Boss… why did you say you're gay?" one of them asked, looking genuinely worried.

"You're not, are you?" another chimed in hesitantly.

"Of course, he's not! What kind of question is that you idiot?" the third minion declared with conviction. "Boss Bova is the manliest of all! He's the very symbol of masculinity!"

Bova, still confused, turned to look at his minions and frowned. "What's gay?" he asked.

Bova's three minions were taken aback by his question, exchanging bewildered glances before coming to a collective realization—'Boss Bova doesn't know!'

They nodded to each other in silent agreement before hurriedly explaining,

"Boss… being gay means…"

"When a man likes another man…"

"Or when a woman likes another woman…"

"And they… only with…"

"That's why… it's actually… "

As their words sank in, Bova's eyes widened in shock. A surge of shame rose within him as he realized what had just happened—he had just made a fool of himself!

At that very moment, the murmuring of the surrounding crowd reached his ears.

"Did you hear? The youngest son of Tannin is actually gay…"

"Hah, I never would have expected that…"

"I was wondering why he suddenly proposed to that child… but now it all makes sense. After all, he admitted to being gay himself."

"Perhaps Tannin is against the idea of his son being Gay, that's why Bova Tannin is such a troublemaker… He is just trying to vent his frustration…"

The more Bova listened, the more ashamed he felt, and the more fury grew. His sharp teeth clenched, and his nostrils flared as he seethed with rage. "That damn woman!" he growled in fury.

Because of 'her' question, Bova had become the laughingstock of the gathering. It was obvious that 'she' had asked it just to mock and humiliate him in front of everyone.

Burning with fury, Bova charged after the 'woman,' his voice booming through the hall.

"Wait, you damn wench!"

Hearing the furious shout from behind, Seir turned around—only to see a massive fist, easily larger than his entire body, hurtling straight toward him.

'What the hell is this idiot doing?'

Reacting instantly, Seir unfurled his Devil wings and leaped into the air, propelling himself upward to avoid the attack. Just as he evaded, Bova's fist came crashing down onto the floor with immense force. The ground split apart into a cobweb beneath his punch, sending a powerful shockwave rippling through the hall.

BOOM!
