The Proud CEO

The email came at midnight.

An anonymous sender. A video attachment.

Eliana hesitated, then hit play.

It was grainy, clearly old—but unmistakable.

Adrian. At a private party. Surrounded by politicians, CEOs, and one man now sitting in prison.

She showed Adrian in the morning.

He paled.

"I thought this was buried," he muttered.

"What is it?"

"A fundraiser… hosted by someone we didn't know was laundering money. I wasn't involved, but guilt by association is enough to ruin me now."

He paced. Angry. Cornered.

"We've worked too hard for this," Eliana said. "Let me help."

Adrian looked at her like she was a lifeline.

"Are you sure?"

"I've been sure since the night we met."

This time, they wouldn't run from the past.
