The Rise of the Titan

Chapter 499: Chapter 499: Compensation from the Dragon Queen and the Spider Queen’s Fear

"I didn't summon you to fight my kin," said the Ten Sovereigns, Sayenode, gazing at the Inferno Giant King he had summoned. On his head, an ancient, mottled crown flashed with patterns formed by ancient divine scripts.

Sayenode's control over the Inferno Giant King wasn't merely verbal. Such a powerful being couldn't be left without some special means of restraint.

"Hmph!" As the crown on Sayenode's head glowed, the Inferno Giant King Abaddon's face contorted with pain. His violent, narrow eyes glanced unwillingly at the Machine Emperor, before he hoisted his inferno furnace back onto his shoulder. No longer the unconquered Inferno Giant King of the past, he was now a defeated warrior under Sayenode's command.

Only about a hundred thousand giants followed Abaddon out, each possessing strength above the gold level and the robust physiques to adapt to harsh environments quickly.

"Roar!" After the Inferno Giants emerged, the spatial passageway Sayenode had opened remained open, allowing even stronger beings to cross through. Clearly, the Inferno Giants were not his only force; Sayenode had more followers and minions, as suggested by his title—a Titan who liked to subdue powerful beings.

Next to emerge was an ice crystal phoenix, exuding a piercing chill. Merely by existing, it stirred a massive cold wave, displeasing the fiery Inferno Giant King who detested ice-type creatures.

This phoenix, which appeared both noble and proud, gave a challenging cry upon seeing the Inferno Giant King and perched on Sayenode's shoulder.

After the ice crystal phoenix, another being emerged—a light spirit, glowing with a pure, boundless radiance. This entity quietly settled beside Sayenode, making no sound or commotion. It was a pure light elemental being, not of flesh and blood, assuming its form at Sayenode's request, though its shape didn't affect its combat capabilities.

Following the light spirit, two more powerful beings emerged from the spatial passageway: an ordinary-looking grey wolf and a giant insect with four blade-like arms. Though their auras weren't as formidable as the Inferno Giant King's, they were still impressive.

"You stay here!" Having summoned part of his epic force, Sayenode looked at the Machine Emperor and the Savage Lord. Entering the Abyss was not advantageous with more Titans, as it would provoke a stronger rejection reaction.

The ancient epic Titan glanced at the sky, a smile appearing on his face. They were being watched by numerous entities, and his plan to enter the Abyss had elicited reactions from some of them.

"It's just to deal with a reckless little spider; no need for such a big fuss," Sayenode murmured, as if talking to himself. Brilliant divine light spread from the crown on his head, enveloping his summoned minions and legions, and he led them into the Abyssal Net where the Spider Queen resided.

...

"What are the Titans thinking? They actually intend to enter the Abyss themselves." On the Plains of Ten Thousand Abysses, in the realm of the evil dragons, the Mother of Dragons, with her five dragon heads—red, blue, black, green, and white—gazed at the epic Titan entering the Abyss, her eyes revealing a complex expression.

Abruptly, the Dragon Queen's five heads turned to another part of the sky, where a slender, elegant platinum dragon figure was slowly emerging, exuding the unique aura of a deity.

"Bahamut," the Dragon Queen Tiamat narrowed her eyes. "Are you planning to take advantage of the Titans to strike at me?"

"Tiamat, your followers attacked my descendants too!" Akemond's emotionless voice rang out as the Dragon Queen glared at the platinum dragon god she yearned to kill.

"They are not my followers." The Dragon Queen immediately denied it. She wasn't foolish enough to issue a divine decree to hunt down the Titan's kin. That was the work of those three idiots acting on their own, and she had nothing to do with it.

"Heh, how can you say it has nothing to do with you? All chromatic dragons are your creations, and they are all your descendants," the platinum dragon god said with a chuckle. After being tricked so many times by the Dragon Queen, he had to strike back somehow.

"Indeed, I created them, but most have long been out of my control," Tiamat said in a cold voice, despite the pitiful reality she described.

Her statement was a well-known fact. The chromatic dragons she created had long since gone rogue, often producing monstrous variants. Her attempts to show motherly care often ended in her being rebuffed.

"Ugh!" Bahamut hesitated for a moment, suddenly feeling a pang of pity for his sister. However, this sentiment vanished quickly; if the Dragon Queen was pitiful, then few in the vast void universe were not.

"But you must pay a price. The chromatic dragons attacked my kin and the Titan's descendants. This is indisputable," Bahamut said, pressing the Dragon Queen under the Titan's banner to pit her.

"I can compensate the Titan's descendant," the Dragon Queen finally said, glaring at Bahamut. After much thought, she was unwilling to part with her hoard, opting for a different solution.

"And how do you intend to compensate my descendant?" The Savage Lord, ready to act, looked down at the Dragon Queen, willing to be reasonable if she complied.

"I understand that your descendant keeps many chromatic dragons," the Dragon Queen said, grinding her teeth. She had long known about these unique descendants raised by the Titans. She had once considered reclaiming them to spread her evil glory, but now she had to abandon that idea. "I can purify their bloodlines, making them stronger with greater potential."

"Fine, but from now on, those chromatic dragons have nothing to do with you. They belong to my descendant."

"No problem," the Dragon Queen agreed immediately, having lost nothing in the deal.

...

After watching the Savage Lord and the Dragon Queen conclude their negotiation, Sayenode resumed his march toward the Spider Queen's Abyssal Net.

As he advanced, the Abyss responded accordingly. Chains of destruction, annihilation, chaos, and ruin, unique to the Abyss, condensed and wrapped around Sayenode.

"Begone!" The epic Titan, embodying a world within his eyes, roared. The chains shattered under his domineering presence.

The first, second, and third layers of the Abyss trembled slightly as a massive, chaotic will descended.

In response, all the winged demons on the Plains of Ten Thousand Abysses took flight, darkening the sky further, and recklessly charged at Sayenode.

"Buzz! Buzz!..." Just as Sayenode prepared to act, divine power erupted, sweeping away all the demons in the sky.

"Proceed. We will handle the demons in the upper layers of the Abyss for you."

The mighty Titan glanced sideways, seeing two powerful deities standing together. With a resigned smile, he nodded and continued onward.

The Three Gods of Justice—Tyr, the God of Justice; Ilmater, the God of Suffering; and Torm, the God of Loyalty. While the latter two were mostly here for show, the actual attack had been from Tyr and the Morninglord, Lathander.

"It's none of my business. I'm definitely not getting involved," declared the Great Mother of All Eyes in the sixth layer of the Abyss, suppressing the urge to act. She knew this was the Abyss' will influencing her. She had no intention of making a suicidal move, especially with two epic Titans and numerous Order deities so close. Any attempt to block them would be a death sentence.

Sayenode, under immense pressure, pressed forward towards the 66th layer of the Abyss. Countless demons, driven by the Abyssal will, rushed at him like moths to a flame.

The truly powerful demon lords, however, suppressed their chaotic instincts, refraining from attacking. Only a few, unable to control their nature, charged forward, only to be struck down before reaching Sayenode.

"Come out and face your death, Lolth!" Sayenode, having faced little resistance initially and only minor pressure later, now looked down at his target—the intricate Abyssal Web.

"Hmph! Do you think staying silent will let you escape?" The Inferno Giant King, whose rules seemed to align with the Abyss, laughed savagely. With Sayenode's permission, he hurled his inferno furnace, laughing maniacally, "Hellfire!"
