The Ruthless Mafia King

Chapter 26: The Enemy Awakens

The storm didn't arrive with thunder.

It arrived with silence.

A single message, sent to every mafia family in the city.

"Victor Blake is alive."

No logo. No signature.

Just a photo.

Grainy. Recent. Unmistakable.

Victor Blake—older, worn, scarred—but very much not dead.

In the Moretti tower, chaos broke loose.

Alessandro threw the photo across the table, where it landed between his most trusted men. Emilia stood at the edge of the room, arms crossed, heart pounding.

"This is a bluff," one of the captains said.

"No," Alessandro growled. "It's a declaration."

"He's not just alive," Emilia whispered. "He's coming back."

They all turned to her.

"You're sure?" Alessandro asked.

She nodded. "He wouldn't reveal himself unless he had power behind him. He's not just making noise—he's staking a claim."

Alessandro's eyes darkened. "Then it's war."

Later, alone in his office, Alessandro stared out at the city.

He should've killed Victor Blake when he had the chance.

The man had vanished over a decade ago—no body, no trace, just whispers. Alessandro had assumed someone else did the job. Now he realized…

Victor had been waiting.

Planning.

For this.

For his daughter to walk willingly into the arms of his greatest enemy.

And now?

Now he was going to take her back.

Meanwhile, Emilia sat on the edge of her bed, staring at the photo.

She hadn't seen that face since she was a toddler.

But something in her gut told her it was true.

He was alive.

And he didn't want her rescued.

He wanted her returned.

But she wasn't the same girl anymore.

She was Moretti's queen now.

And no one—not even her father—would claim her without a fight.
