The Saiyan Born In The Void

One wrong move.

One wrong move and it's over.

This single thought ran through Sado's head over and over. 

The man had disappeared, vanishing without a trace, hiding in the thick forest.

A powerful gust of wind roared through the forest, sweeping snow off the ground. Covering Sado's eyes as he took a deep breath before sticking his right palm out, forming a yellow ki blast which quickly fired from his hand.

The blast zipped past a tree before abruptly turning, zigzagging through the forest at light speeds, illuminating Sado's body, while he twitched his index finger controlling the blast. 

" My blast isn't finding anything...He might be in the air...No, this place is too dark; I would notice his aura straight away. " The blast sailed past Sado's body, flying past a branch. " The ground under my feet isn't shifting either. My scouter isn't picking up anything either. " 

Thought Sado, glancing down at the snowy ground glowing a bright yellow, if maybe- Before Sado could think, a flicker reflected off the snow. Sado leaned to his right, barely dodging a crude blade which sliced through his face like butter.

He spun around swinging his fist, sending a shockwave through the air, bending the massive trees as ice sickles fell from the skies. But as the shockwave rang out, the man was gone.

Blood poured down his face. " Be proud. Most don't dodge. " Said the old man's voice, echoing throughout the trees. Sado didn't respond, instead licking the blood spilling down into his lips.

"It isn't venomous. " Thought Sado.

Sado's eyes were calm, stiller than the snow underneath his feet. Sado pupils slowly glanced around the forest, trying to find even the slightest change...Until once again, a dagger shot through the forest, slicing Sado's scouter into two.

The scouter dropped off his face, burying into the snow. 

" You can no longer find my Ki signature. " Said the man, his voice becoming slightly more ignorant, as once again a blade shot across the sky, slicing Sado's arm. Sado glanced down at his arm before mumbling.

" Scouter. Blood pouring down, covering my left eye. Now my right arm. " A grin creepily crept onto Sado's face. Before he asked a question.

" Have you fought saiyans before? " 

" Dozens. The failure you call king doesn't understand when to give. " Responded the old man as several more blades shot through the slicing across Sado's body. 

Blood covered the ground under Sado, as his body slightly hunched over. He took a weak breath before closing his eyes and pulling his right arm to his chest. " Are you giving? What a shame. What type of King sends a child to his death? " 

In a flash, a figure covered in withered tree roots appeared above Sado, tightly holding a small crooked black blade, swinging down. The blade inched closer as the man's pupils narrowed in on Sado's neck-BANG

" What?! " Screamed the old man, smoke pouring off his side, from a stray Ki blast that slammed into him. The man fell from the air before Sado twirled, throwing a powerful punch into his chin, sending him hurling back before he slammed his feet into the snow, sliding to a stop. 

The old man shot his head up before his pupils dilated and he sliced an incoming Ki blast, just to see that Sado had vanished. " Clever. " Said the man as a gust of wind threw his hood back, making him look into the air. 

Seeing Sado fall towards him, throwing a lightning-fast spinning kick. But right before the kick could connect, the man's body flickered, vanishing without a trace. Sado kicked through nothing but right before he could land. 

Shattered 

The snow underneath him split apart, and an aged hand shot out, tightly grabbing onto Sado's ankle. "You're nothing like the Saiyans I killed before. " Said the man leaping out of the ground, twirling Sado around, slamming his body into the snow, jumping onto him.

He violently stabbed his blade, scraping across Sado's face, piercing through his left ear. " Let's end this. " Said the man as Sado pushed onto his chest, trying to throw him off.

His body didn't budge, as an aged grin appeared on his face and the black blade hovered about Sado's right eye, but instead of a terrified look appearing on Sado's face, he grinned back. 

And his palms glowed a bright yellow, a yellow dome of energy shot out of his hands, sending him flying back. Flinging the blade out of his hands. 

The man's cloak was scorched as he spiraled through the air until Sado appeared behind him, slamming an elbow into his back. 

Snap

A single loud snap rippled out, as the man fell limp, crashing headfirst into the snow. Sado landed nearby, glaring down at the man, ice covering his armor. He brushed his armor off, speaking.

" You killed dozens of my race. Unfortunately, I'm not from your dozen. " 

The man slowly pushed off the snow, only picking up his upper half. " This battle is far too loud for this quiet planet. My people will have noticed. Your death will follow suit. " Said the man, blood spilling out of his mouth. 

Sado could only grin, and reach down, grabbing onto the man's neck, lifting him off the ground. " Good. You're too smart to lead me to your cities, but I doubt the ones coming to save you are. "

" What do you mean? " 

"You're going to be the start of your race's extinction. The single spark that causes its downfall. " Without another word, Sado placed his left palm onto his chest and fired a ki blast, which carried him into the sky. 

He watched as the man flew higher and higher into the sky before Sado pointed his hand at the blast and swiftly closed his hand- BOOM

The small ki blast erupted into a massive blast which rippled through the air, causing the falling snow to melt before quickly refreezing. Frozen droplets of blood drifted from the sky, falling onto Sado's armor. 

The sound of hurried footsteps rippled out of the forest as Sado turned around and spoke.

" Here they come. "...
