Chapter 30: Three Is A Lucky Number...
Chapter 29 - Three Is A Lucky Number
Ichigo turned his head fast with widen eyes when a familiar and very strong Spiritual Pressure suddenly appeared. "The gramps?"
"Apparently so. Given the boss had fought him once, I'd say he's using his Shikai already."
"Why?" He's already powerful without activating his Shikai. "For what?"
The clone simply shrugged. "I don't know. Perhaps pride."
"Do you think something happened at the peace talks?" Orihime asked.
"Perhaps, but I'm sure they'll handle it." Clone Naruto nonchalantly responded, taking a sip of his soda. Since there's no point of persuading the clone, the trio simply sat down and partake drinking their beverages. Then the cloned Shinobi asked them something that's been on his mind. "Where's Uryu?"
Ichigo, Chad and Orihime gave curious looks to each other before they gave simultaneous 'I don't know' shrugs.
"Okay then."
-Port of Los Angeles, California, United States of America-
A lone man was walking towards his transportation that was waiting for him when he sensed the power surge in the west across the ocean. The man had a muscular but slim build, short, spiky blonde hair and was wearing a nice suit with stripes and a tie with a half-moon faced left. Carrying over his shoulder with his occupied hand was a duffel bag that was usually used by the US military men before and during WWII.
"What ki."
He hasn't felt this amount of ki since… ever. It was huge and powerful… even more powerful than his father.
"Sir." The man turned to see one of the organization's agents nearby. "Your transport is ready." It didn't take them three steps when the agent asked, "Sir is there something on your mind?"
"I'm changing our destination."
"Sir?" asked the confused agent, about to protest when he noticed a glint in his eyes. "Where to?"
The man didn't answer until he boarded his transportation; a large shipping freighter. "Home."
-Tokyo, Japan-
"Whoa." Kuroka looked northeast in the direct direction where she senses the power. "That's- Wow." The nekomata simply giggled as she jumped across rooftops with swift speed with images of a certain chakra-wielding blonde in her mind. "But still he is the one for me."
After a few minutes, she stopped at the ledge of the building she was on, looking at the place that was lower than her level. A school with its brick wall surrounding and the minted name that read 'Tokyo Metropolitan High School'. For some reason she senses small traces of Naruto's chakra in there, so she assumes that he attends this school for either cover or some other reason.
Her thoughts were cut when the school bell rang, bringing her attention to the main gate with the hope to spot him. However what she found wasn't Naruto; it was two kids that were younger than him. One was a brown-haired boy with a band-aid under his left eye and a Yin-Yang badge on his collar while the other was a girl with long blonde hair and blue eyes.
"Those two?" Kuroka arched an eyebrow. "Could the girl be a relative?" With the same shade of blonde hair and blue eyes, who wouldn't assume they're siblings? She trailed behind the two teenagers silently atop the rooftops, using her skills of stealth and evasion plus Senjutsu to mask her presence.
To her surprise, the girl would always look back and scan the area as if she was looking for her or at least sensed her presence. This brought attention to the boy called Kenichi. "Miu, what is it? You think someone's following us?"
"Don't know, but I certainly feel something." Miu cutely pouted before strolling with Kenichi.
Kenichi looked at her. "Are you talking about that strange presence we felt not long ago?"
Something else's been bothering her and noticed some changes. For the past month, she felt her abilities' rapid increase; strength, speed, and reflexes are unusually improving better after each training session with Naruto. Even though she still couldn't land a blow on him, there were clear improvements on her skills.
But the biggest surprise was Kenichi him-self. His abilities were vastly improving to the point she could finally get serious in their sparring sessions. Of course Kenichi turned into a depressed wreck after hearing Miu took it easy on him, but not anymore. Also the technique training he'd been working on with Naruto has started to show when he managed to deceive her during one of their spars albeit incompletely.
If their progress continues at this pace, she and Kenichi will no doubt be able to handle all of Yami's disciples, protect their friends and loved ones while continuing the path of the Katsujinken.
A clang sound was heard from behind, prompting Miu to turn around while transitioning to her usual fighting stance. Kenichi soon followed suit after having a heart attack from Miu's sudden action. Having already pinpointed the origin's location behind a dumpster, Miu swiftly approached with a drawn fist once she reached it.
Only to lose her composure by what she saw. "Ah! A kitty!"
A sweatdrop slid on Kenichi's head. "Really? A cat?" He muttered as a happy Miu picked up a black cat before snuggling her cheek on it. "Miu, that cat probably belongs to someone. We should look for the owners."
"Ah~" The blonde beauty cutely pouted. "Do we have to?"
Kenichi turned away briefly to avoid being blinded by her cuteness. "Check for a collar."
"Okay." When she did look at the cat's neck, there was none and her face grew brightly with the cutest smile. "Yay! That's means you're mine!" The cat meowed as if it agreed with her and licked her nose, getting a squeal from her. "Oh you're so cute!"
Another meow came from the cat.
"Come on, Kenichi. We got dinner to cook." A happy Miu joyfully strolled down the street with a dejected Kenichi followed suit. Although he caught a glimpse of the cat's face and for a moment, he thought it was actually smiling.
-Furinji Island, Sea of Japan-
An enormous sprout of fire erupted from the Shinigami leader's blade before engulfing its wielder. Everyone sans Naruto who already saw it before, were completely surprised and in awe as the fire reached the top of the shield around the island. Despite being in their shield and Issei in his Scale Mail, they could feel the intense heat emitting from the blade and the sudden pressure around them.
"Man that's hot!" Issei remarked inside his Dragon armor as it protects him from the fire.
"That's the power of his Zanpakuto: Ryuujin Jakka."
"Sounds like you know them." A low grunt was his answer. "Are you going to tell me?"
"Not now. We're going to fight against Vali and Albion, obviously."
Meanwhile Katerea, covering her face with her arms leaving a crack for her to see through, stared in complete shock as she tries to comprehend what's happening right now. Meanwhile Vali stood there and while no one could see it because of his helmet, a devious smirk threatened to split his face, greatly anticipating the battle with the Shinigami once he disposes Issei.
"How is this possible?"
The once erupting pillar of fire soon swirling towards its 'eye', receding back to Yamamoto's flame-clad blade while the intense heat and increased pressure was still present as Asia and Yuto struggled to stay standing despite inside of the shield.
"Awesome." Was all Vali could say at the moment.
"So this is the power of the leader of Shinigami." Katerea remarked despite the nervous tone as her body emits a misty green aura around her. "How disappointing."
A growl escaped Yamamoto's lips. "The disappointment is you, Katerea Leviathan." He spoke before he and Katerea disappeared to the sky above, clashing with a strong shockwave as the end result.
Taking his eyes from the sky, Issei looked at Vali who was staring at him. "Shall we?"
"Yes."
With that, the battle between the Red Dragon Emperor and White Dragon Emperor began as a small white dome of energy formed upon contact of their fists.
-Ryozanpaku Dojo-Tokyo, Japan-
"Oh~"
"Hayato, calm yourself. We all sense it." Akisame said. He and the masters were outside in the grounds, looking at the sky as the vast tremendous two powers was joined by another duo of individual powers. "Whoever they are, they're powerful."
"Heh! I'd like a chance to fight them." Sakaki stated, cracking his knuckles in anticipation as his Dou ki flared slightly.
"Apachai would like to fight opponents!" The Muay Thai giant answered as well, flailing his arms like a kid. "I wanna~"
"SO DO I!" The Elder declared before bending his knees, no longer to contain his excitement. "I'll let you all know how they were."
"OH NO YOU DON'T!" The masters cried out.
Kenichi and Miu just entered the dojo in time to watch the five masters tackle the Elder in a heap. Sweatdrops slid down their slips including the cat as the masters barely restrains the Furinji Style Master from doing battle with an unknown force. "Um, what's going on here?"
"Nothing." The six masters replied after a moment.
"Okay then." Miu responded before smiling at them. "We have a new guest that will be living with us for now on." Getting a 'Huh' from the masters, she raised her arms to show the stray black cat. "Everyone meet Kuroka."
"Kuroka?" Kenichi mused. "Why Kuroka?"
"'Cause I like it." A purr came from the cat. "And she likes it too." She snuggled the cat's cheek before letting it jump out of her arms. "Now I'm going to go prepare dinner. Any requests?"
"Nope." Everyone replied, allowing Miu to enter the main building to begin her daily task.
After watching her, Kenichi's attention was drawn to a 'cho' and saw the cat, Kuroka, sitting on her hind legs in front of Tochumaru who looked determined with stars in his eyes and in his hand… a pair of tiny nun-chunks?
"Is he intimidated by her?" A sweatdrop formed when Kuroka casually strolled past the mouse. His sweatdrop grew bigger when the clearly hurt Tochumaru turned around and chased her with the spinning nun-chunks with a resounding 'Chu' and a surprised yowl from a crying Kuroka.
-Yamamoto/Issei vs. Katerea/Vali-Furinji Island-
With swift and fluid strikes, Yamamoto parried the streaks of lightning while unleashing an arc of flames. Katerea ducked under the fire before charging at her opponent, swinging her staff that was blocked by Yamamoto's flame-clad blade.
"Hado #4: Byakurai." Katerea flew backwards while holding up her staff, splitting the lightning-like attack in half. Although she was pushed back as a result, showing her teeth while growing more frustrated. This brought a smirk from the Shinigami. "Don't tell me that's all you have."
Katerea responded with a wave of her power. "Take this!" The demonic energy never made it to the Shinigami due to his Spiritual Pressure. "RAHHH!"
"Too easy." Yamamoto nimbly dodged all of her thrusts while countering and redirecting some of them. She may possess great power, but lacks discipline and patience; the true attributes of a warrior. After dodging the last thrust, Yamamoto slammed the butt of his hilt to her cheek but ended up missing. "But not too amateurish."
"Damn it!" Katerea grows frustrated by the second as she swiped her lance multiple times, launching wave after wave of demonic energy.
"Too basic."
Yamamoto swung his blade, unleashing yet another arc of flames at his opponent which she flew higher to avoid it. The flames reached the edge of the barrier, exploding upon impact. Katerea, who glanced back to see the fireworks, soon found herself surrounded by a wall of flames, preventing her from any escape.
"NO!" Katerea screamed from inside of the huge sphere of flames.
"Jokaku Enjo." Yamamoto said after sheathing his blade, sealing his Shikai. With a Shunpo, he returned to the spot of the peace delegates, he gestured Michael, Sirzechs and Azazel to drop the shield which they did after a moment. "That was disappointing."
"Amazing." Rias and the others stared at the sphere of flames that holds the Leviathan at bay. "So this is the power of a Shinigami."
Naruto sniggered, catching their attention. "He wasn't serious this time." He snickered at their gob-smacked faces. "Don't leave them open or you'll swallow a bug."
"Ack!"
"Too late." Naruto snickered at Kiba before he donned a serious look and looked up at the sky. "Your turn, Issei. Show me what you got."
Meanwhile Issei and Vali continued their battle by the former crashing into the ground by a drop kick. "Really?" Vali asked with a disappointing frown as his opponent arose from the crater. "Is that really the best you got?"
"BOOST!"
With a grunt, Issei exerted the boosters on his back, flying at high speeds before cocking a fist. Vali however simply dodged it before kneeing him in the stomach, a few jabs to the back and finished with a strong elbow to send Issei spiraling back down the ground while the Dividing Gear shouts, "DIVIDE!"
"Gah!"
"Ouch." Naruto simply said with a bored look.
Everyone present watched Issei rise up again, panting slightly as he stares at his enemy. "I almost feel pity for you, Issei."
"How's that?"
"I mean you're just a reincarnated low-rank Devil who happens to be the weakest host of the Boosted Gear in history." Rias and her friends mirrored the look on Issei's face: anger. "While I happen to be the strongest host of the Dividing Gear-"
"BOOST!"
"-and a half-blood."
"Half-blood?" Michael and Yamamoto exchanged looks as did Sirzechs and Azazel.
To emphasize this, Vali flared three pairs of black bat-like wings of the Devils behind his white ones, relishing in the shock of his audience. "That's right. I'm the descendant of the original Lucifer."
"The original Lucifer?!" Rias said in a shaking voice.
A shell-shocked Akeno only shook her head. "I-I never thought—The clan was thought to be extinct."
"Apparently not." Naruto stated as Vali's eyes gazed on him. "What's with that look?"
"Don't you know? I want a real fight. A real challenge." Vali said. "I saw your battle against Zeus and Hades' champions and since then I've been itching to fight you."
"Is that so?" Naruto gave a knowing smirk, which got a arched eyebrow from Vali. "I seriously think you're underestimating Issei here. Sure he's a pervert who wants to sleep with every girl imaginable-" A collective 'Sure' and 'Yes' came from the Devils and Azazel while Issei had a sweatdrop as another call of 'Boost' cried out. "-But there's one thing that he and I have something in common."
"And that is?"
"Blade!"
"Look out Vali!" By the time he heeded the white dragon's warning, the White Emperor's eyes widen in shock—although no one could see it—as Issei held his left arm with a white, serrated double-edged blade emitting a large amount of holy energy.
"The guts to protect those close to you and the will to keep fighting until your last breath."
With a grunt, Issei swung down the blade of Ascalon, a trail of holy energy trailing behind the double-edge sword as he drew blood from his surprised and pained opponent.
-The Shipping Freighter-Pacific Ocean-
"Sir, pleasure to have you aboard."
The man nodded as he sat on a rather lavish chair inside a luxurious room that a CEO of a company would have. He noticed a file in the agent's hands. "What's in the file?"
"A new target." The agent walked to him and handed the file. "Our intel on Ryozanpaku Dojo has shown there is a new disciple in their ranks…" He paused, drawing the man's attention from the open file. "Under the personal tutelage of Hayato Furinji."
"…Really now?" The man asked, his slightly widen eyes as the agent shuffled nervously in his spot. "That'll be all."
"Hai… Lord Ichei."
Ichei nodded as the agent left, leaving him by his lonesome. After a moment or two, the leader of Yami looked at the photos of the young blonde teenager. Several of them were of him sitting at a park and his strolls through Tokyo's multiple wards and shopping centers, but one photo in particular caught his attention.
It was one that was marked in September and had him walking with two kids; a brown-haired boy and a blonde girl. The trio were laughing and having a good time although the boy with the band-aid was looking at the girl with a loved gaze. It was like nothing could ever ruin the moment between them.
Ichei smiled as his thumb rubbed affectionately alongside the girl's face on the photo before his eyes directed on the headband-wearing and smiling boy once again. "Naruto Uzumaki… I think it's time we meet... disciple to disiciple."
-Furinji Island-Sea of Japan-
"Gah!"
Katerea shouted in frustration as she sent wave after wave after wave of demonic energy at the wall, only for them to dissipate before even reaching the fire. The fire prison was much more powerful than she anticipated much like the leader of the Shinigami, Yamamoto.
"No I will be-" The spiraling prison of flames started to slow down and eventually disappeared, letting her see the familiar blue sky and yellow sun that she hates so much. "-Defeated? All right then." She smirked, arrogantly glad that things are working for her favor as she searched for the one responsible for her temporary imprisonment.
What she found wasn't one that she expected. The bloodied Vali who was clutching his stomach to cover the wound and stop the bleeding or the panting Issei whose helmet was broken, exposing part of his face, and the Holy Sword in his left arm.
"A Holy Sword?! How could he holding it without brusting into flames?!" She realized that none of them saw her release. "If we take down the Red Dragon Emperor, they'll lose one of their main forces." With a flap of her wings, Katerea flew across with her spear ready for the moment to kill Issei.
That is until she stopped when Yamamoto appeared in front of her, somehow 'standing' in the air. "And where do you think you're going?"
"Hah. You Shinigami aren't all that great. Despite your power, I don't see any reason to fear you." She failed to notice the slightly opened eyes of the Shinigami Head Captain. "You're so-" She felt something wrong with her body as she watched Yamamoto's sword sliding into its sheath. "What?"
Yamamoto stood passively, blankly staring at the stunned Katerea before her eyes rolled as her body spilt into two, falling to the ground below. He had cleaved her by using one of his sword techniques that he had long mastered during his long years as Head Captain. It was his swordmanship skills that made him both feared and admired by his subordinates.
"Leviathan is now dead." Yamamoto turned around to see a shocked Vali staring at him. "You look surprised, White Dragon Emperor."
"Divide!"
"BOOST!"
Both Issei and Vali gritted their teeth as their respective Sacred Gears cancelled each other out again, but the former knows something else far worse. "My… strength is… failing…" While he dominated the battle, the one good but devastating hit Issei landed on him with Ascalon was slowly and surely draining his strength.
Ascalon was one of the four Holy Swords created by the God of the Bible along with Excalibur, Caliburn, and Durandal. However this blade possesses abilities that can slay Dragons and anything that is and/or remotely related to their species. That includes the hosts of the Boosted and Dividing Gear, making the blade ever more deadly for them.
And Vali knows it.
"Ddraig, can I channel Ascalon's Holy Power to enhance my Dragon Shot?" Issei asked, panting slightly before receiving 'Okay' from the red dragon. "Good." He held out his right hand and started to form the usually small-sized Dragon Shot before mentally channeling Ascalon's Holy Power. A tired smirk came to life when the holy energy surged from his left arm through his chest and to his right arm where he condensed the holy energy into his technique.
Eyes widening in shock even further, Vali could only stare at the reddish-now white sphere that was mixed of demonic and holy powers.
"What is he doing?" asked a concerned Rias.
"He's channeling Ascalon's power into his technique." Azazel remarked, intrigued by this development.
Issei smiled victoriously as he prepared to fire his attack. "Good bye, Vali. Holy Dragon Shot!" 'Punching' the sphere, Issei watched his technique turn into the familiar large but devastating beam albeit more powerful with a white color to it. He and the audience feel the entire island as the beam rapidly dashed across the land, upturning chunks of it due to its enhanced power.
The holy-enhanced attack hit its mark, resulting in a huge explosion followed by a mushroom cloud as the shockwave pushed surrounding trees out of their roots, and upturning even more several chunks of land. Even behind the shield erected by Michael, Azazel and Sirzechs, everyone inside still felt the attack's force.
"Not bad." The Head Shinigami noted as his robes violently fluttered by the shockwave. "A bit slow though." He talked loudly, obviously to Issei. "If you hadn't taken your time, your opponent would be dead by now before his friend arrived."
"Huh?"
A loud cackling voice echoed from inside the smoke. "Not bad. You have keen eyes, Shinigami. And the Red Dragon Emperor…" The voice whistled in amazement. "Who would've thought you could merge your demonic with holy energy much less wielding a Holy Sword."
As the smoke cleared, the delegates see before them the trench forked around him that probably lead to the edge of the north side of the island. However their eyes were on the one who managed to deflect Issei's Holy Dragon Shot and saved Vali in the process.
The one who cackled was a young man in a red ancient Chinese armor with short black hair and a black staff in his right hand. "Hello there, everyone."
"Bikou."
"You know him?" Naruto asked as he stood up while Yamamoto landed behind Vali and the now-known Bikou.
Sirzechs nodded as Azazel filled in the rest. "A Youkai and a descendant of Sun Wukong; the first Monkey King. Most likely he's with the Khaos Brigade."
"Obviously." Naruto deadpanned before noticing Bikou's curious eyes were on him. "What're you staring at?"
"You obviously." Bikou's right eye arched slightly as he let a 'hum' out of his lips. After a moment, he said "I want to fight you."
Again Naruto deadpanned with a deadpan face. "Well get in line. Vali wants to fight me although he doesn't look good right now."
"Eh, true that." Choosing to ignore the glare from Vali, Bikou summoned a Transportation Magic Circle as he and his friend 'sank' inside of it. "I look forward to our future battles, Poseidon and Red Dragon Emperor."
"W-wait!" Issei tried to take a step, but instead his legs stumbled, his body heeding to the toll of exhaustion. However he didn't touch the ground as Naruto, who didn't need to use the Body Flicker as he was already fast due to training, stopped his falling and placed his arm around his shoulder. "N-Naruto." He looked at the blonde who grinned back at him.
"Good job."
"Thanks." That was the last word he could say before his eyes closed as he fell asleep with the muffled cries of his friends reached his ears.
As Naruto set him down and moved aside for Rias to kneel besides her love, he looked around and grew paled at the destruction around him and the delegates: upturned chunks of land, felled trees that lay next to holes with their roots exposed to the world, and the fire.
"Wait. Fire?!" The blonde ninja freaked before he used a Water jutsu to quell the fire, although this did little to calm his anxiety. "I'm so dead~"
Michael, Azazel, Sirzechs and Yamamoto looked at one another before staring at their fellow leader. "Why do you say that?" asked a confused Sirzechs. Sweatdrops appeared on the leaders' heads as Naruto look back at them with big teary eyes.
"… My master is going to kill me."
As the Three Factions leaders and Yamamoto attempts to soothe the depressed Naruto while the young teenagers surrounded Issei, none of them noticed a brief opening and closing of the sky in the distance.
-Los Noches, Hueco Mundo-
Appearing before Aizen in his throne room was the scout sent to perform reconnaissance on the Factions. In his hands was a simple camcorder the Humans use for daily activities and formal events.
"Good job." Aizen remarked with the ever-present smirk on his face.
"Sir."
Aizen received the camcorder and dismissed the scout. After making sure he's alone, Aizen played the camcorder, smirking at the video that detailed the battle between Vali and Issei. "All is good when things come together… as you expect it."
-(Evening)-Ryozanpaku Dojo-Tokyo, Japan-
After magically repairing Furinji Island's landscape and magically relocating it to another geographical location, the leaders of the Three Factions and the Shinigami Faction went back to their realms, so when Naruto and Rhea arrived back home in the former's bedroom, they had company.
"So."
"So."
Naruto couldn't find what to say to the girl in front of him. After learning from Rhea that Medusa also harbors feelings for him, most likely because he lifted the curse and gave her a home, kind of made it awkward for him, so he decided to have a meeting in his room.
Both Rhea and Medusa sat next to each other in seiza as did Naruto, sitting across from them. Besides the two words and the occasional yet awkward 'Hi', the trio hasn't spoken a sentence to each other.
That is until Medusa finally broke the ice.
"Why are we here? Shouldn't you two be on your date?" The Kosaka Style disciple asked with a bite. Naruto and Rhea frowned at her, clearly seeing her pain.
Rhea spoke. "We wanted to talk to you about this." She tried to place her hand on her shoulder, but it was swatted away from Medusa's own.
"About what?" Medusa asked again with her head lowered slightly so they couldn't see her teary eyes. She didn't see the exchange of looks between Naruto and Rhea before the former scooted close to her and gently lifted her face with his finger under her chin.
The blonde Shinobi frowned when he saw her eyes all wet, her lips quivering. Exchanging another look from Rhea who gave a small smile, Naruto faced Medusa again. "There's something you should know about me." He smiled when Medusa wiped away her tears and looked at him, showing he has her attention. "I'm not from here."
"From Japan?" Naruto shook his head. "Another country?"
"Try another world. Dimension actually."
"…."
"Medusa?" Naruto snapped his fingers in front of her eyes. "Medusa?" He caught a backhanded slap that was intended for his face. "Why did you do that?"
"You don't want to hurt my feelings and yet you tell me a lie?" Medusa said under suppressed anger.
Naruto was taken aback before placing his hands on her shoulders to keep her from leaving. "I am not lying to you, Medusa."
"He's right." Rhea supported Naruto by placing her hand atop of Naruto's. "He's not lying." Both Naruto and Medusa felt more calm and collected than usual when Rhea made contact with them. Well that's what happens by being friends with or dating the Titaness of Comfort, Ease and Pleasure.
"Are you sure?" Medusa asked after a moment or two. A nod came from Naruto. "T-then that would explain your powers. Where did you come from?" That's when a grin appeared on Naruto's face and a smile on Rhea's.
"I would tell you… on our date tonight." He chuckled at her surprised look. "Yeah you heard me."
"But you and Rhea tonight…" Now she feels guilty for delaying their date. "I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry. I'll just go on a date with the both of you." Naruto smiled at the shocked Medusa. She looked at Rhea who gave her nod of approval and smiled at her, causing the former priestess to smile as well. "There's the smile."
"All right." Rhea grabbed Medusa and led her out of his room. "We'll be ready in two hours."
"Two hours?!" Naruto cried in shock as the door closed shut behind the girls. "What am I supposed to do for two hours?"
-(Two Hours Later)-
Kenichi collapsed in a heap, exhausted yet again from his daily training. "He's a monster!" That is of course his daily training with Naruto.
"You're probably thinking that I'm a monster, huh?"
"How did he know that?! Can he read my mind like master Akisame?!"
Chuckling at his misery, Naruto dragged the exhausted Kenichi to the dojo before sitting next to him. "Your technique is improving, Kenichi. Be proud of yourself."
"T-thanks." Kenichi replied, pleased with him-self despite being exhausted.
"To be honest, I didn't think you'd make this far." Naruto sweat-dropped at Kenichi's sudden depressed cloud above the latter. "Oh cheer up. It's a praise."
"How is that a praise?!" Kenichi pointed out before noticing something different about Naruto. "Your clothes are different."
Instead of wearing his casual clothes, Naruto switched to a more appropriate type of clothing. He was wearing a dark blue collared long-sleeved shirt underneath his leather jacket, black denim jeans and royal blue/white tennis shoes. Lastly was his trusty Konoha headband tied to his forehead like always since he made genin.
"Well I am going on a date."
"With who?" Kenichi asked.
"Hello boys." A familiar voice called them from the side. The two boys looked and they were awe-struck at Rhea and Medusa, both of them were feeling embarrassed under their gaze.
The Titaness was wearing a yellow top that showed a bit of her cleavage, a white skirt that reached her knees with matching shoes. Her once long black hair was now curly that reached her shoulders and her lips were stained with red lipstick. As for Medusa, she was wearing a green top that hugged her body and her assets, tight red jeans that really showed her curves and her orange-reddish hair was tied in a neatly in a Ancient Greek hairstyle.
Overall the two beauties were mesmerizing with Naruto drooling at the corner of his mouth.
"Don't stare at us like that. You're making me nervous." Rhea said with a blush, voicing an equaling blushed Medusa's
thoughts as well.
After shaking his head, a sheepish Naruto scratched his cheek. "Sorry girls, but you two look… stunning and beautiful."
"Thank you." Medusa replied back with a smile. Naruto got up and walked to them while offering his arms, which they gladly accepted by wrapping their arms around his. The trio then walked to the entrance and closed it while Naruto spoke to the still dazed Kenichi.
"Don't worry, Kenichi! This will happen to you someday."
The multi-style disciple sat there, still in a daze that he didn't notice Miu's black cat jumped over the dojo wall or a brief flash of yellow light.
-Kyoto, Japan-
"So Medusa, where do you want to go first?" When he didn't hear anything but felt a chill in his spine, Naruto reluctantly turned around and became pale under the glares of an upset Rhea and a pouty Medusa. "What?"
"You should've warned us before you used your technique." The Titaness complained while suppressing the urge to vomit. Medusa almost threw up, but managed to suppress with some breathing techniques of the Kosaka Style.
"Hehe… Sorry about that." Naruto sheepishly replied while ignoring the death glares from the passing men and teenage boys. It was the same for the girls as the older women and girls in their age group sent them glares while the men and boys stared at them while drooling.
"Come on. Let's have some fun."
The girls nodded with a smile as they walked with him to explore the city of Kyoto and its attractions. However their plans were halted when they heard a 'yowl' behind them. The trio turned around to see a black cat staring at them, specifically at Naruto who was a little weirded out by the cat.
"Hey isn't that Miu's cat?"
"Yeah, you're right, Medusa." Rhea responded as she reached for the cat, only to retract her hand back when said cat gave a soft hiss. "Don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you."
"Should we head back?" The cat simply turned around and strolled into the alley behind it, prompting the trio to follow it. "Get back here! Oh man, Miu's going to kill us if we lose her here in the city."
After chasing the cat for several city blocks, they finally cornered her on the roof of an apartment complex with no way to escape. They had her pinned down with a tri-pronged formation; Naruto in the middle; Rhea on the left and Medusa on the right.
"It's the end of the line for you." Naruto said. "I'm taking you back to the dojo so we can go on our date!" Something else bothered him as well since he first met the cat. "Does this cat possess Chakra? If so then why does it feel—no."
"Then I'm coming too!"
"Eh?" The trio remarked as the cat 'puffed' in a puff of smoke. They were shocked when a voluptuous young woman in a black yukata emerged from the smoke and wrapped her arms around Naruto's neck before she pressed his head against her large breasts.
"I finally found you~" Kuroka chimed victoriously.
"K-Kuroka!" Naruto said muffled as he suffocates against her breasts. "Why am I always surrounded by girls with large breasts?"
"So you don't like it?" Kurama teased with a knowing smirk.
"I didn't say that." Naruto replied in a cheeky tone.
"L-let him go right now!" Medusa stuttered, glaring with a small blush.
"No."
Growling slightly, Medusa was about to teach her a lesson when Rhea stepped forward, stopping her from doing so. After taking a look back at her, Rhea faced Kuroka and a gasping Naruto next to her. "Why are you here Kuroka?"
"For reasons that are my own, thank you very much." Kuroka responded, sending a wink at Naruto. "The main one is him."
The trio blinked as Naruto pointed to him-self. "Me? Why?" He then shook his head. "Wait, how did you find out where we live?"
Kuroka sent him a 'are you serious' look. "Your Chakra, duh!" She said as if it was the obvious answer. "It's so strong and bright!"
"But I wasn't at the dojo at the time." Naruto tilted his head as he was trying to figure this out. He was at the peace talks on the island… in the sea. "You sensed for my Chakra?"
"Yep and I was actually surprised to sense traces of your Chakra on Miu and the cowardly kid." Kuroka mused, surprising Naruto while Rhea and Medusa were confused.
"Traces of my Chakra are on Miu and Kenichi?" Naruto thought. "Why didn't I notice that?"
Rhea stepped in and put in her two cents. "You said you came for Naruto because of his Chakra?" A nod came from the nekomata. "Why? Is it because he's powerful?"
"Well~" They could see her cheeks flushing as she stared at Naruto. "I want to have his babies."
"Eeehhh?!"
-Yami's Base/American Military Base-Okinawa, Japan-
"Is everything set?" Ogata asked one of Yami's agents and getting a confirmation. "Good. Dismissed."
"Hai."
Noting the agent's departure, the Yami master stood with crossed arms as he watched his newest disciple in a stance with his arms interlocking in the common 'X' formation. Suddenly Kabuto opened his eyes before slamming his elbows into his knees, digging his legs deep into the floor to anchor himself. His arms slowly set into different formation; his right arm held up in a knife-hand and his left knife-hand was below, facing downward.
Positioned at the other side from him was an 18th-century cannon that was used in naval combat between wooden ships. It was obviously loaded for their use for Kabuto's Ogata Style's Animal Trine Technique training. Seeing his disciple ready, Ogata flicked his finger at the cannon's ignitor, lighting the small fuse as it burned closer to the body of the cannon.
Kabuto stood in his stance as a loud 'crack/boom' rang around the room's walls, echoing as the cannonball darted across the floor and at him. Slightly grinning, he tensed his arms and legs as he readied him-self to perform the technique and he did so when the cannonball was three feet close to his face.
A moment later, the room shook from the impact as the windows cracked and the floor came loose with several spider-like cracking. An impassive Ogata stared at the smoke cloud that emerged from the contact and he remained that way until the smoke cleared from his vision. A sinister smile came to life when he saw his disciple, with his right knife-hand in front of his face, remained unscathed while the steaming cannonball was dug into the wall behind him.
"Good, good, Kabuto."
"Thank you, master." Kabuto's smile mirrored his master's as he pulled out his legs out of the ground. "Soon, Naruto. Soon."
-Kyoto, Japan-
"So let me get this straight: you are a Nekoshou, a variation of Nekomata who uses Senjutsu and Chakra." A nod came the happy Kuroka. "And now your race is facing extinction due to various parties killing your species over time and since your race is all-female, you mate with Human males to have children." She nodded albeit slowly with a small frown. "And since Naruto is a Human with Chakra and knowledge of Senjutsu, you want to have strong children to keep your race alive."
"Yep." Kuroka sent another wink at the slightly bushed Naruto who awkwardly waved it off.
"WHY HIM?!" Medusa couldn't help but feel frustrated.
"Because his Chakra is strong and bright and…" She looked at the blonde, blushing slightly. "He's handsome."
"For the love of Ninshu, another one? You're quite the magnet for women, Naruto." Naruto and Kurama couldn't help but notice a hint of jealously in his voice. "Lucky."
Sweatdropping slightly, Naruto coughed to clear his throat, catching the girls' attention. "Kuroka while I admit you're beautiful…" Cue the glares from Rhea and Medusa, but the joyous smile at being called beautiful from Kuroka, "…I told you last time that there's someone for me." He glanced at Rhea.
After following the glance, a sigh escaped the Nekomata's lips. "I suspected as much… she is prettier than me. But…"
"But what?"
Kuroka gave a shuddering exhale. "But I don't want to go back." The trio was stunned when streams of tears slid down her cheeks. After many years of stifling all of the pain she went through, she finally let it out. "I only joined Vali's team as a form of protection from the Underworld, but it never appease my fear. The fear of being hunted and captured one of these days and killed. The fear of never seeing my sister again."
Before she knew it, she felt the warm arms of the Shinobi wrapped around her, her eyes widen in surprise. As if by instinct, Kuroka hugged him too before crying into his shirt, letting out her fear and sorrow with gasping sobs every now and then. She never felt anything like this before, perhaps of his Chakra's quality but she felt that it was something else other than that.
"N-Naruto, We should get going. The game will start in a few minutes." Medusa pleaded, trying to start the date while attempting to leave her behind.
Naruto stayed silent for a long moment until he unwrapped his arms and stood up before extending a hand to Kuroka. "Despite of our previous engagement with Aphrodite and Triton, you are filled with grief and sorrow; not hatred nor arrogance. You can come with us, but on one condition."
"What is it?" Kuroka asked quickly, her hopes rising every second.
"Just don't jump on my bones when I'm sleeping." Naruto sheepishly pleaded before turning around to face duo of a clearly not amused Medusa and Rhea although the Titaness had a hint of understanding in her eyes. "However if she shows any signs to harm anyone in the dojo, Rhea and Medusa, she'll pay dearly for it."
"Now we're talking, although it would be a shame to rid you of another girl. You do remember Saeko's words, right?" Kurama teased, getting a small blush from his Jinchuriki.
Naruto coughed behind his hand. "Come on. We got hop to it if we want get an extra ticket for Kuroka."
"Ticket for what?" Kuroka asked with a tilt of her curious head. "Where are we going?"
"To watch a sport here in Kyoto." Medusa answered begrudgingly. "It was invented in America a long time ago; but now it's world wide."
"Which one are we talking about?" Kuroka asked since there are so many sports in the world right now. She followed the trio by jumping off the roof, discreetly landing on the ground as they merged with the traffic of passing citizens although most of their attention was on Rhea, Medusa and especially Kuroka.
It was Rhea who answered as she hooked her arm with Naruto's. "A sport called Baseball."
-(Four Days Later)-Somewhere in Greece-
Underneath the night sky, a cloak-shrouded figure walks out of a huge door of an ancient temple that once worshipped one of the Olympian Gods. The door was supported by a series of pillars that belonged to the third main classes in architecture; the Corinthian Order.
"You know my people worshipped the gods long ago. Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Hera, Demeter and all other gods." The figure spoke in a gruff voice, indicating that it was a man. "With their guidance and power, we were the highest and mightiest than everyone else." The man walked back inside the temple, showing a glare that was hidden underneath his hood. "Until your kind came along."
Leaning against the base of an broken and headless statue of a Olympian was a bloodied and chained Angel. His wings were stained with dripping blood that fell and amassed on the pavement, forming a pool of blood. His clothes were torn, showing his abdomen that was full of scars and open wounds that were still bleeding.
He glanced the wall behind his captor, panting as he stared at the blue glowing rune that resembled a square with an intricate curved three inside of it. The Angel then looked around the room, seeing the same rune all on the walls. He knew he was helpless against this kind of magic. HIS magic. HIS kind's magic and it was being used against him.
The cloaked man traced his prisoner's gaze to the wall and chuckled darkly. "I bet it doesn't feel good, does it?" He pulled out something from his cloak. A book that was as white as a white lily with golden accented spine and two pure silver locks that would keep the book closed at all times unless uttered the pass phrase. "It took me 30 years to track this book. An additional 20 years to track that down." He pointed at the semi-large coffin that was next to him. "And this is a beautiful blade."
He pulled out a long triple-edged silver dagger and chuckled when the Angel flinched upon seeing it glint under the moonlight.
"Of course you fear this. After all you and your kind wielded this weapon long ago. That and I killed your two of your friends and the Exorcist." He pointed the dagger at the still bodies of the Exorcist and the slain Angels whose bodies were withered. There were ash marks on the ground that resembled wings on both sides of the bodies. "Now I'll ask you again: how do I get into Heaven?"
"… I… I will never… tell you." The Angel gasped between raggedy breaths of air. "You… can't kill… all of… us." He winced sharply when the tip of the dagger threaten to penetrate his throat. "You can't kill Him." Despite of the dwelling fear, the Angel mustered courage as he glared back at the brown eyes inside the cloak.
"Try me."
The Angel gasped as the blade shot up through his face from jaw to forehead. His eyes, nose and mouth soon glowed with a bright white light as he screamed in agony and his wings were scorched in flames. As the light disappeared, the cloaked man pulled out his dagger as he watched the wings turn to ash while withstanding the shockwave that came from the Angel.
"Angels." He said with disdain before snapping his fingers. A set of thumping sounds emerged from behind the statue, belonging to a huge creature with one eye and set in complete armor except for a helmet. A large sword glistened in the moonlight that penetrated through the broken roof. "Cyclops…" The giant grunted in fear. "Carry the coffin. We're moving out."
Seeing the creature do his bidding, the cloaked man once again looked at the stars. His free hand curled into a fist while his right grip tightened on the hidden dagger.
-With Michael-Heaven-
You would think that after achieving peace with your mortal enemies would lessen the workload, but that's not the case at all with Michael. In his personal room with multiple columns of bookshelves behind him, a white wooden-made desk and a large oval-sized window that gave a view of Heaven's bright skies. In front of him on his desk were every leader's worst enemy ever created for both mortal and supernatural.
Paperwork.
Letting out a deep sigh, Michael leaned into his seat after signing the last document. "I'm finally done. Perhaps this time I'll relax even a little."
Now why did he go and say that?
"Lord Michael!" An Angel exclaimed after materializing from a white light, kneeling before the Archangel. "Sir, we have troubling news."
His eyes widening, Michael stood up in full alert as he asked, "What is it, brother?" The scout lowered his head slightly more. "Brother?"
"Sir… Five days ago, there were a series of incidents in Greece." The Angel scout lowered his head. "A three-man squad was sent to investigate yesterday. They haven't checked in since their last report 12 hours ago." Worry began to grown inside Michael as the scout continued, "I'm worried, sir."
"I see." Michael said.
He spoke, "Sir, I request permission to find our brethren and aid them." The scout pleaded. "Sir, we must also act with haste. It's only a matter of time before-"
"-Before the Khaos Brigade learn of this and send their agents." Michael finished, contemplating on his next move. After a moment, he asked his brother to stand which he complied. "Did the squad tell you of their destination?"
"They said they were on the land bridge between mainland Greece and the peninsula known as Pelopennes. The incidents were leading them south." He arched a brow when Michael had a small smile. "What are you thinking?"
"I think we need help from one of Japan's prominent residents." Michael answered. "Contact Griselda in Vatican City and tell her that she's about to have company."
-Ryozanpaku Dojo-Tokyo, Japan-
"I've never been on a double date or a triple date, but that was-"
"Kinda fun." Naruto finished for Rhea, smiling at her as she smiled back. "Although I didn't get to tell you and Medusa more about me."
During their date, the group of four supernatural beings attended the very first international baseball game between Japan's national team against the United States' New York City Yankees where Medusa caught a Home Run ball in the sixth inning. Afterwards they went to a restaurant that's famous for its ramen, which Naruto absolutely craved and the girls including Kuroka knew they couldn't sway him.
When they returned to Tokyo, Rhea and Medusa with a sheepish Naruto told Kuroka that she must stay in her cat form during her stay in the dojo and gave her a clear warning: any evil attempts on them and anyone in the dojo, they will retaliate ten times fold.
"Yeah." Naruto noticed Medusa walking out of the main building to begin her practice of the Kosaka Style's swordmanship and kenjutsu. When their eyes met, she smiled at him and he waved back at her before resuming his kata practice of the Furinji Style martial art as per instruction of his master.
Apparently the masters of Ryozanpaku Dojo took Kenichi and Miu to the Dark Valley for a training trip; the second for Kenichi and the first for Miu, so they have the dojo to themselves for a week. And that means one thing.
"Ah!" Naruto and Rhea looked, only for the latter to cover the eyes of the blushing and nose-bleeding former. In front of them was a clearly wet and naked Kuroka with a towel drying her hair. "That bath was lovely~"
"Kuroka!" Rhea exasperated, soon joined by a blushing Medusa. "Where are your clothes?!"
"In the washer." Kuroka responded before grinning when she saw Naruto. "Don't you like my body, Naruto?" When she heard him stutter, she giggled as she walked towards the blonde to tease him further. However she was stopped by the arms of Rhea and noticed a pair of clothing in Medusa's arms. "Why?!"
"BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO MODESTY!"
While the girls entered a brawl with slaps and finger hooking, Naruto watched at the sight and thought to him-self, "I'm a lucky guy." He kept staring at the bodacious beauties, failing to notice a yellowish/golden Magic Circle until it was too late. "Wh-"
After managing to force down a shirt and skirt on the Nekomata, both Medusa and Rhea turned around to give their blonde companion a scolding only to find no sign of him anywhere.
-Vatican City, Rome, Italy-
Vatican City: one of the most holiest and sacred places of the Christianity religion. It was known for being the smallest yet powerful enclave/city in the world despite being in the country of Italy and the city of Rome. It was also famously known for its amazing and ancient landmarks such as Saint Peter's Basilica, the Obelisk monuments and the Saint Peter's Square.
But all of members of the Church, both high and low ranking, knows of the hidden truth of Vatican City; the truth being the main headquarters of Heaven's Human agents such as the Exorcists. The city and its agents are one of the driving armed forces of Heaven that combat to rid the world of evil and defend those who cannot defend themselves.
Inside the sacred and large church that is Saint Peter's Basilica were three figures; one of them was kneeling on one of the stands near the near the pedestal.
"E-excuse me, Sister Griselda." A young voice called to the nun. Griselda was a woman in her 30s with gray hair and chained silver cross around her neck. "What is he like?"
"Who, Irinia?" Irinia was a young beautiful girl with hazel eyes and chestnut twin ponytails. She was wearing a white cloak with accented gold stripes around the collar over a black, short-sleeve tight bodysuit with a silver cross around her neck. "Ah! You mean our guest?"
"Yes." The second girl responded stoically though with a hint of fear. She was also a beautiful young girl with blue hair, a green fringe on the front. She too donned the same outfit as her friend, although her body suit had long-sleeves instead of short sleeve. "What is he like?"
Griselda stood up after bowing to the cross that hanged before him. She turned around and looked at the second girl. "I don't know myself actually, but Lord Michael sounded confident about this man. He must have a lot of faith in him."
"But an outsider?" Xenovia asked. Griselda detected the small hint of anger in her tone. "What's so special about this outside anyway?"
Soon a golden/yellow Magic Circle appeared on the stage, catching their attention as the alluring light brightened the room and their bodies forming shadows behind them. As the light dimmed until the circle disappeared, leaving a very confused blonde boy that was about Xenovia's and Irinia's age, although Griselda thinks he was older than them.
"We're about to find out." Griselda responded as she walked towards him for greetings. Irinia and Xenovia soon followed behind her.
Naruto, after calming down first, stared at the unknown he's standing in right now. The place was amazing, beautiful with the columns of lit candles that stood on segmented tables on both walls. He also felt some sort of power within this place and it was familiar to him. He only felt this familiar feeling when he was near Michael.
"This place must be holy." That was when he noticed the nun and the girls at the corner of his left eye. "I hope they have answers for why I'm here." Putting up a serene smile, Naruto extended a hand to the nun. "Hello there."
Griselda looked at the hand for a moment before taking it with her own. "Hello to you, young man. I'm Sister Griselda." The two shook hands until they let go of one another. "What is your name?"
"The name's Naruto Uzumaki!" The Shinobi introduced him-self with a grin. He heard an indignant scoff from the blue-haired girl and got a curious stare from the twin pony-tailed one. "Can you please tell me where am I and why I'm here please? I was doing something pretty important."
"Watching girls wrestling each other is important?"
"Yes it is! It is every man's dream to see girls wrestle each other!" Naruto responded to Kurama's question with a righteous fury.
Gazing at the star-adorned eyes of the boy, Griselda answered, "You are currently in Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City, Rome. And we need your help." Her eye twitched when the boy groaned. "Is there a problem?"
"I just wanted more rest and be with Rhea and Medusa… and Kuroka!" Naruto really wanted to say that out loud, but he kept it in as he replied instead. "Just… another day's worth of the job I guess."
The nun seemed to understand as she gave a sympathetic nod. "I see. Being the new Poseidon therefore being one of the Greek Faction leaders can take its toll." She turned her head around to the girls behind her when she heard gasps from them. "Oh. I didn't tell you?"
"H-he… He's Poseidon?" Irinia stammered while Xenovia stared at Naruto with surprised eyes.
Naruto clarified this. "Well I'm the new Poseidon. The original chose me to be his successor long ago." He didn't want to tell them about his becoming a god because it might give them a heart attack or a fainting spell. The blonde looked at the nun again. "So what's happening that you need my assistance? Or any assistance for that matter."
"The Furinji Treaty has officially passed, but there are those in the Church who feel they lost their purpose when we made peace with our enemies." Griselda responded a little despondent.
Over the past four days, there were protests among the Exorcists who feel the treaty is a disgrace, however the higher-ups and the Exorcists who believed peace quickly silenced the opposing party. Basically there's an increasing division between the now called Anti-Exorcists and the Pro-Exorcists Factions: the former against peace and the latter for peace.
And it wasn't just the Church and the Angel Faction. It was the same for the Fallen Angels and the Devils as there were some parties who also didn't believe that peace would last between them.
"So…"
"So…" Griselda stared at the boy's eyes, scaring him with her blue eyes. "Lord Michael wants to do a trial run to show all the Four Factions that we can coexist and work together."
Arching a brow, Naruto raised his hand like a kid in school. "What about the battle against the Khaos Brigade on Furinji Island? We all cooperated in the end."
It was Irinia who answered this time. "They believe that was only to defend yourselves at the time." Naruto scoffed as he looked at the ceiling.
"They won't accept change until they see it clearly in front of their eyes, huh?" He looked away from the ceiling to feast his eyes on the females again. "Okay, I'm in." Griselda had a small smile when she heard that. "So what's our trial run going to be?"
Sporting a serious look that scared Naruto again, Griselda informed him of the report that Michael briefed her on before the Shinobi's arrival; the mysterious incidents around southern Greece and the squad of missing Angels and the Exorcist sent to investigate them and their last contact.
"Something's going on here all right." Kurama said after hearing the briefing, slightly intrigued. "There can't be idiots in the Three Factions who'd do something a few days after the treaty. It must be an outside party."
"Other factions, Kurama?" Ashura cut in, also intrigued by this development.
"Probably. And let's not forget about Kabuto and that lightning guy Zeus' successor. They could be involved."
Naruto gave a nod so subtle that Irinia and Xenovia couldn't detect, but Griselda did. "We'll just have to find out right?" He asked rhetorically before speaking aloud. "Any idea of their location?"
"We know they were following the trail that originated from Athens." Xenovia answered as she pulled out a map from her cloak and opened it to show the map of Greece and its islands. She held it up and turned it so they could see it before pointing at the black dot that pinpointed Athens. "Then they followed the trail southwest…" Her finger expertly traced the squad's trail as she continued explaining. "…Before they turned south here on this narrow stretch of land where they last made contact."
The trio saw Xenovia's finger atop of the narrow stretch of land that connected the mainland Greece, located in the south and known as Peloponnese. The letters that were minted slightly larger than most of the map read as the 'Isthmus of Corinth'.
"That's all?" Naruto asked, getting a curt nod from the blue-haired girl. "Not a lot to go on, but we have their last location."
"A very big last location." Irinia add in.
"Regardless…" Griselda interjected. "Your mission is to find the squad, bring them back and incapacitate the ones responsible for the incidents when you can and bring them back for interrogation." Nods came from the three teens. "A charter plane will depart in 30 minutes. I suggest you all be on your way."
As Irinia and Xenovia turned around after bowing to their senior as they were about to leave to pack, Naruto halted their progress. "Hold on a minute here." The females looked at him curiously. "If this was to be a trial run for the Three Factions, then we're missing one more person."
"Who?" asked both Xenovia and Irinia before Naruto showed them a knowing smile.
"She was after all your sister."
