The Silent Deity: Saiki Kusuo in Tensura

Chapter 15: Whispers Beyond the Trees

In the heart of the Jura Forest, beneath the now fully operational central tower of the Storm Kingdom, Saiki sat in his favorite chair, sipping coffee jelly with a spoon made of enchanted silver. His eyes glowed faintly violet as he scanned the world in real-time—political tension bubbling just outside the silence of his well-guarded realm.

"Yare yare… why can't people just mind their business?" he sighed, spoon halfway to his mouth. "I fix Veldora's brain, set up an entire city, stop one of the strongest Demon Lords like it's a side quest… and yet everyone wants to poke their nose in."

He slouched a little, still watching.

In a grand war chamber lit by a thousand golden lanterns, Rudra stood at the head of a massive table covered in maps, rune-charts, and glowing diagrams of the Cardinal World.

Velgrynd, arms crossed, stood beside him with a slight frown.

"Rudra… I'll say it again. This plan is reckless."

Rudra didn't even glance at her. His golden eyes were fixed on a magically drawn image of the Jura Forest, highlighted with red rings.

"Reckless is attacking something without thinking. This? This is called strategy."

She narrowed her eyes. "You saw what Veldora did. He's not the same dragon you used to fight with or mock. He's different. Stronger. Controlled."

"I know," Rudra said quietly. "And that's why I have to go. The Jura Forest is not just trees anymore. I feel it… something powerful is blooming there. Something world-changing. And I won't sit on my throne while a kingdom of monsters grows in the shadows."

He pointed at a section of the map.

"We'll send an elite unit through the western edge. Quiet. Stealth only. The second they enter, I want surveillance on every step."

Velgrynd looked at him with a mix of concern and annoyance. "You're not just doing this for conquest, are you?"

Rudra smirked. "Maybe. Or maybe I just want to see how far the Storm King can go before I break him."

Back in the frozen palace of the Ice Continent, Guy Crimson sat on his icy throne with one hand on his cheek. Misery and Rain stood behind him, silent as ever.

Rain finally spoke up. "I tried again, my lord. The moment I reached the treetops, the world flipped. It threw me into a desert this time. The time before? Some freezing tundra halfway across the world. He's watching, I know he is."

Guy clenched his fist. "That smug bastard. I let my guard down for one second and he humiliated me in front of everyone."

Velzard, seated beside him, glanced over with a smirk. "Sounds like you're still bitter."

Guy didn't even deny it. "Of course I am! That wasn't just a fight, that was a performance. Like... like he was toying with me. And I can't even get close to that forest again without being made into a fool."

Misery leaned forward. "Do you want us to keep trying to find a way in?"

Guy didn't answer immediately. He just stared ahead, deep in thought.

"…No," he finally said. "Not yet. If he's hiding something, I'll wait until the moment he slips. Then we strike."

In the mountain fortress of Dwargon, King Gazel pounded his fist lightly on the stone table.

"No response. Nothing?" he asked his general.

The general shook his head. "Our scouts were turned around at the border. They walked straight for days, only to find themselves circling the forest and returning from the other side."

Fuze, who had come all the way from Blumund, sighed beside him.

" king Gazel, I even offered supplies and tribute. Nothing came back. Not even a whisper."

Gazel grunted. "So the Storm Dragon wants silence, does he? Or maybe someone else wants it for him..."

He looked toward a crystal projection showing the forest's perimeter.

"If I get even one shot to make contact, we're sending a formal alliance offer. I don't want a war.

I want security."

Meanwhile, Saiki spun his spoon thoughtfully in his coffee jelly.

He muttered to himself, "So, Rudra wants to sneak in. Guy's still salty. Blumund and Dwargon are being diplomatic... meh. They'll all come crawling eventually."

He stood up, stretching lazily.

"But until then, let's make sure no one gets to peek behind the curtain."

With a simple thought, new layers of psychic and dimensional barriers wrapped the Jura Forest. Not only would it warp space and redirect intruders—it would now erase any trace of attempted entry from their memory.

"Try harder, Rudra," he said to the wind. "Let's see how far your pride gets you."

In the stillness of the evening, as a warm golden light bathed the growing city of the Storm Kingdom, Saiki sat cross-legged atop the highest tower in the entire kingdom, a bowl of coffee jelly in one hand and a spoon in the other. His psychic eyes scanned the entire world — every kingdom, empire, demon realm, and organization buzzing just outside the forest.

"It's coming…" he muttered, staring at the vision of nations preparing their envoys, spies, and schemes. "The world's going to come knocking soon. Some with smiles... and others with daggers behind their backs."

He sighed. Yare yare daze... Peace was still far away, and if he didn't prepare the kingdom properly, it would all spiral into chaos the moment the borders opened.

Saiki floated back down into the royal castle where Veldora now held court every morning. Since the Ainz Ooal Gown brain upload, Veldora had become an actual monarch. Still flashy, still dramatic, but now collected, strategic, and charismatic.

Saiki waved his fingers and summoned a floating whiteboard midair. Markers hovered and began sketching his ideas.

"When we open the forest," he said, talking to himself, "we need to make it look like we were always meant to lead. The outside world must see order, discipline, strength, and elegance."

So, he created the Storm Court — a royal council under Veldora consisting of the strongest, smartest, and most influential individuals in the kingdom.

Benimaru: Commander of the Military

Hakuro: Captain and teacher of the Military

Shuna: High Minister of Welfare and Resources

Souei: Chief of Intelligence and Espionage

Shion: Veldora's Personal Guard and Security Head

Rigurd: Minister of Internal Affairs

Kaijin and his brothers: Overseers of Infrastructure and Technology

Gobta: …well… he was given a minor role in public morale just to keep him out of trouble.

This council would serve as the "face" of the kingdom. Whenever foreign nations came, they would deal with a structured leadership—making the Storm Kingdom look far more advanced than any monster-led nation ever seen before.

Saiki floated down into the royal archives—another building he'd built psychically in two seconds—and began writing out blueprints for something called "The Grand Embassy Protocol."

"We'll need to prepare for alliances, trades, treaties, maybe even backdoor manipulation…"

He smiled.

The plan involved building a beautiful embassy district on the forest's outer edge — neutral ground for foreign envoys. There, they could send representatives, attend conferences, request trade deals, and even try to spy if they dared… but with all eyes being psychic Saiki's, they would never leave with any secrets.

"We'll let them see just enough," Saiki said to himself, "to make them think they understand us."

And Veldora, trained now to act like an Overlord-level leader, would handle diplomacy with the grace of a wise king and the might of a god.

Later that day, Saiki sat with Veldora in the royal study. The Storm King was flipping through strategy books like a true scholar.

"Veldora," Saiki said with a serious tone, "we'll be opening the kingdom to the world soon."

Veldora raised an eyebrow. "So, it's time already?"

"Almost. When the moment comes, you'll need to talk to kings, emperors, demon lords, and gods. You must become a beacon—calm, majestic, untouchable."

Veldora leaned back, arms crossed. "So… like how that Overlord dude acts?"

Saiki nodded. "Exactly. Cold, but not cruel. Diplomatic, but never weak. Someone they fear and admire."

Veldora smirked. "Heh. Leave it to me. The Great Storm Dragon will be the mightiest monarch this world has ever seen."

"Good," Saiki added, "but just in case, I've implanted auto-responses in your memory banks."

"…Auto-what?"

"If someone says anything shady, your mouth will respond before your brain even has to. Think of it as 'royal instinct programming.'"

Veldora blinked. "Wait… you can do that?"

"I already did."

Saiki then designed a "News Network" using magical projection stones that would be placed throughout nearby neutral territories. These stones would show edited, perfectly curated highlights of Storm Kingdom life — their booming economy, their happy people, the discipline of their army, and Veldora's epic speeches.

The world would see greatness before ever stepping foot inside the forest.

"We'll control the narrative," Saiki whispered. "Let them think this kingdom rose by monster unity and ancient wisdom. No one needs to know it's all the work of one tired psychic who just wants to eat jelly in peace."

And finally, Saiki laid secret psychic seals on every border of the forest — keys that could lock any intruder into a mental prison for days if they tried anything funny.

He also created false "weak points" in the barrier to lure would-be spies. If they tried to break in through those spots? They'd end up in a psychic maze with looping illusions and endless voices of Veldora saying:

"YOU DARE TRESPASS INTO MY REALM, FOOLISH MORTAL?!"

(Yes, Saiki had too much fun recording that one.)

And So…

As the sun set, casting orange light over the Storm Kingdom, Saiki hovered silently above the castle, watching everyone go about their work, their training, their studies.

"Not bad," he said to himself. "Now… the kingdom is almost ready."
