Despite the initial turbulence, Alex's life began to stabilize into some form of consistency after moving in with Vanessa.

He was currently in a class about the history of magic, but his attention was instead on the two friends who kept distracting him.

To his left was Kenneth, the bald monk who wore a string of prayer beads around his neck. Despite his humble appearance, he was actually quite the pervert.

On his right was Orion, a light-brown-skinned demi-orc with slighty pointed ears. He wanted to become a mage instead of the traditional route of cultivating battle-qi, and despite the social norm of orcs and demi-orcs being considered intelectually challenged, he was both smart and cunning.

Perhaps this was why Alex, who became the third pervert, quickly hit it off with them and they became close friends. Despite these tendencies, it was only Alex who couldn't conceal his traits and was looked down upon by most of the other students who met him.

"Brother, have you heard?" Orion whispered while barely moving his lips.

"About what?" Alex asked after being distracted once again from trying to listen to the class professor explaining early magic developments.

"Amitabha," Kenneth quietly whispered, briefly pressing his hands together in prayer.

Alex had no clue about what the two were talking about and asked for further information. Orion cleared his throat and gruffly whispered and explanation for him.

"It is the new game from Young Hero Studios."

This information caused him to perk his ears up as he had heard of this company before. It was a scandalous game studio from the Violet Alliance World, code name W-558. This was a world of martial arts and cultivating inner energy, and while its inclusion into the myriad worlds had created a temporary peace between the righteous orthodox and demonic unorthodox factions, it created new challenges.

The knowledge, culture, and products of the myriad worlds flowed into this Violet Alliance World. This including clothing and products that while normal in many other worlds, were considered heavily scandalous and 'unorthodox' or blatantly unethical by the standards of the righteous factions.

Young Hero Studios, despite it righteous name, was in fact a part of the demonic sects from this world. The products they created were banned by the local martial alliance, but thanks to the myriad worlds connection, they exported these games into other worlds where they made enormous sums of money.

The corner of Kenneth's mouth twitched as he forcibly suppressed a smirk, "Black Lace is a hyper-realistic dating sim that even has virtual reality support, and rumor is that all the main characters are famous young heroes from that world."

Alex pulled out his phone and started looking it up, but Kenneth wasn't done whispering yet.

"Come with us this afternoon to Undercity, there is a small games shop there that specializes in inter-realm imports and has just received a shipment of the game."

"Count me in!" Alex responded a bit too loud in his enthusiasm resulting a brief lull of the class where everyone turned to stare at him while the teacher shot him a disapproving frown.

"Lilia... does this really count as a career consultation? And in the first place, how did you make the principal enforce this for me?"

To describe this in game terms, Alex had long since emptied his mana bar into Lilia and was now draining his life bar. If the demoness wanted, she could have truly drained him of every life point, but her devotion to him held true.
