The Sinful System

While Alex's new friendship with the bald monk Kenneth and demi-orc Orion started off a little awkward, they were much closer by the end of first break.

The school day was split into three lessons and two breaks. Starting at 8:30am, the first lesson went until 10:30am before there was a 30-minute break. The second class went until 1:00pm, upon which there was another 30-minute break denoted as being just 'lunch'. The third class then finished at 3:30pm which was also the end of the school day.

Each student in the higher years chose their own classes to attend and received graduate credentials based on their passed courses.

Alex was still new in the school and quite uncoordinated with the map, so he followed his new friends to another classroom where they began their Universal Law class.

Universal Law focused on the mechanics and principles of the universe. It was the reason why everything existed and how it existed. The full subject was far more encompassing than what was taught at school and one could study it for hundreds of years and still be learning. It was the same as the Dao that cultivators studied so it came as no surprise that Mr. Wetherspoon, the teacher of the class, was a cultivator.

Mr. Wetherspoon had the appearance of a middle-aged man and unlike many of the older cultivators with their long, flowing hair, he kept his cut short and had a spiky hairstyle. His face was extremely elegant and even Alex considered him to be an extremely beautiful male.

The teacher was also very tall, standing at nearly 7 feet and always walked with a ramrod posture. The only problem was that due to cultivator's distorted sense of time and the sects holding lectures about the Dao for hours on end, sometimes even from dawn till dusk, he was extremely long winded and it made it difficult to stay awake in his class.

Alex tried his best, but even he started dozing off three quarters of the way through class.

Alex awoke to a large sound and immediately jumped up in his seat. He looked toward Mr. Wetherspoon who was looking done on his with a peaceful expression.

"Mr. Ivanov, falling asleep during a lesson shows your lack of concentration and discipline. I would recommend stopping by the library and studying several meditation techniques. It will help greatly in your studies and general life."

Alex still had no idea how Mr. Wetherspoon made that loud sound, but the imposing pressure he naturally emitted due to his cultivation base was very intimidating. He didn't dare disagree with the teacher and hastily nodded.

"I-I understand."

Kenneth and Orion were smiling at him from the classroom entrance, obviously awaiting to watch him carry out his punishment game.

"Shall we get lunch first?" Orion asked while rubbing his fat stomach.

Kenneth looked toward Alex who only replied with sigh, "No, the cafeteria will already be packed so I may as well confess first."

Kenneth gave him a short prayer and the three wandered through the school looking for wherever Vanessa decided to eat her lunch.

They soon found her sitting cross-legged on the grass all alone next to the sports field at the back of the school, on the top of a small hill which overlooked the boys and girls kicking balls, studying or even practicing martial arts techniques.

Alex felt the warm glare of the sun on his exposed skin and felt full of life, but the gut wrenching feeling of having to confess to the most beautiful girl in school was still present.

Leaving Kenneth and Orion behind to watch from a distance, he walked up the small hill and sat down next to Vanessa.

"What?" Vanessa spoke in a chilly, yet beautiful voice as she turned her head to face the boy who abruptly sat down next to her.

Alex felt some intimidating pressure from her and didn't waste time, simply asking, "Will you be my girlfriend?"

Alex and Vanessa continued looking into one another's eyes before she finally broke eye contact and returned to her lunch, a black lunchbox resting on her lap filled with sandwiches and fruit.

Vanessa picked up a half sandwich filled with what looked like ham and turkey and softly nibbled on one end of it.

Alex still sat there but didn't continue staring at Vanessa. A part of him wanted to get up and leave, but she technically hadn't rejected him yet, so he shamelessly stayed.

All of a sudden, his stomach grumbled in hunger and broke the awkward silence between the two. Vanessa's hand, holding the sandwich, stagnated momentarily before she came to a decision and tore off the corner of it and passed it to Alex.

Alex was stunned upon seeing the silent beauty take some of her food and give it to him. He stared at her slender fingers which he could only describe as perfection.

Without thinking, he leaned his head forward and ate the small piece of sandwich, even capturing her fingertips with his lips briefly. That small piece of sandwich felt very heavy in his mouth and took some effort to chew it. However, it was delicious and as started to feel a bit bloated as soon as he swallowed.

With saliva still on her fingers, Vanessa returned eating her sandwich as if nothing happened, not even wiping her hand on her skirt first.

'Does this count as an indirect kiss?' Alex thought to himself as he stared intently at her damp fingers approaching her lips.

Kenneth and Orion were watching from the distance and were gobsmacked from the very beginning. When she appeared to be directly feeding Alex however, their jaws practically dropped to the ground.

"What do you think they are saying?" Kenneth quietly asked Orion.

"Mmm, your fingers taste so heavenly, can I smell your hair next?"

"Amitabha."

The two were continuing the quiet conversation when they noticed Vanessa was facing them with a murderous glare.

"Eh! The Ice Princess is unhappy today, how did she spot us from so far away?!" Kenneth panicked.

"Quick, let's run away."

Kenneth panicked while Orion picked him up and ran away much faster than his fat body seemed to be capable of moving.

"The weather is nice today," Alex mentioned, trying to spark a conversation.

"Yes."

"Do you enjoy studying at this school?"

"No."

Alex felt like crying inside. He was already a bit socially awkward to begin with, but this beauty was simply impossible.

"Why not?"

"Why do you like me?" Vanessa placed her last half sandwich back in the lunchbox and suddenly faced Alex, her eyes a like obsidian gems.

Alex was taken aback by the suddenness of the question, but very quickly responded with, "Do I need a reason to like you?"

"Isn't this some punishment from you losing a game?"

*'Shit, she knew about that? How?'*

"That is a different matter."

"How?"

Perhaps because of the Sinful System that he held, but currently he was not thinking with the brain in his head.

"Because it was love at first sight. The punishment only gave me to courage to confess."

Upon hearing 'love at first sight', the tip of Vanessa's ears reddened. She didn't make any obvious movements and her speech remained the same as always, but this small detail wasn't missed by Alex.

"So, you are a coward then?"

"I was just nervous."

Alex nudged closer to Vanessa till their shoulders touched one another and wrapped one arm around her waist. She didn't resist and pretended like nothing had happened, but Alex focused on her ears which got even redder than they were before.

Alex amorously stared across at Vanessa, especially the large breasts buried within her school shirt, rising and sinking with each breath like the ebb of the tide.

Lost in his own desire, Alex leaned in and kissed Vanessa on her cheek.

Still unsatisfied, he used his spare hand to tug Vanessa's chin so she was facing him, then closed his eyes and planted his lips on hers without hesitation.

Her lips were incredibly soft, and still had a peach fragrance. Both Alex and Vanessa felt a jolt of electricity shoot through them as their lips pressed together.

Alex drew his head back first and opened his eyes to see her eyes closed, her long lashes slightly fluttering as her eyelid quivered. He felt the weight of her body leaning against him and leaned in to seal her lips with his own once again.

What was one kiss, became two and then three, his tongue becoming more aggressive as he tested her boundaries.

A decent number of students on the sports field and surrounding area noticed the two people French kissing beneath the tree on the hill. When they recognized who the girl was, the school's Ice Princess, all of their jaws dropped.

One person turned and would tell their whole group who then turned to look in shock. It was too bad that by this point the increasing number of gazes had triggered Vanessa's sense of shame and she had returned back to eating her last half sandwich and final peach.

Alex was intoxicated with the kissing while his mind dreamed of becoming a mountain explorer. His sixth sense was telling him at the moment though that if he tried to touch her abundant chest, something bad would happen.

Forcing himself to calm down, he returned to just sitting still with one arm around Vanessa's slender waist and checked his current Sin Points balance.

Every intimate action, or collection of grouped actions, of his had increased his Sin Points, and while it wasn't a large amount, he had still earned it in a single lunch period.

*'No! Alex, what the hell is wrong with you?! How could you do such shameless actions in the middle of the day,'* Alex shouted in his mind while another imaginary voice that was also himself said, *'Because she let me.'*

Both of them sat there in silence with only the background noise of people playing on the sports field and some birds chirping. Vanessa closed her eyes in meditation while Alex looked up at the sky and watched the passing flying aether cars and people flying by. He even saw what looked like a rare high-ranked priest of some of religious order or another flying by standing on a large book.

"It's time for class, let's go," Vanessa said as she picked up Alex with one hand, much to his shock, and placed him on his feet. "We have the same class."

"How did you-" Alex was about to ask how she knew which class he had when he noticed she was holding his student handbook and class list in her hand. "Never mind, let's go."

The two walked side by side with Vanessa leading the way. On the way to class, three beautiful elves with long golden locks and matching eyes were walking in the opposite direction. They all had long, slender legs, apple-sized breasts, and skin like milk. They truly were synonymous with beauty and Alex felt his eyes immediately attracted toward them.

The three elves detected his perverted gaze and grimaced, shooting him an annoyed glance before turning and walking in a different direction.

Before Alex could do anything, he felt someone hit him in the back of the kidney and felt like keeling over in pain. He didn't have to guess who hit him, as Vanessa was oozing with anger at the moment.

"Hmph," Vanessa just snorted and didn't comment further.

Of course, Alex got hit again shortly afterwards when they passed a bearded, female dwarf girl. This time he directly collapsed to the ground as his kidney screamed in protest.

Vanessa looked at her fist and then at her first boyfriend. She didn't like hurting him, but she had to stop him making lecherous looks toward other women. She made sure that her hits won't cause any crushing damage by spreading the force from her fist over a broad area.
