The man was clenching his phone, his face sweaty from the tension. Midas' purple eyes narrowed into slits as he stared at the man, his phone buzzing. The man's eyes darted frantically around, his expression wild.

"So-so," the man stuttered as he looked at Yuko, then back at Midas, who smirked. As pressure pressed on the man, who froze, he clenched his phone harder.

"Um? Are you okay? Do you need water?" Yuko's concern was evident as she approached, but Midas pulled her away just as a black substance, like a shot, shot out where Yuko had been standing a moment ago; it was like a needle. Yuko was shocked and confused.

But the next moment, Midas jumped back with Yuko in his embrace. As the man holding the app screamed in pain, the phone screen began to display an error, turning red, then black. A black substance then began to wrap around the man, oozing ominously.

"Hungry~" it let out a guttural raspy voice, as the man was no longer human, but something Midas was too familiar with.

'A devil? No, a demon, but how Midas pulled Yuko towards the exit, who was scared, as she clung to Midas' Arm, the Demon turned to Yuko.

"Food!" It screeched as it slammed its arms onto the floor; black, viscous substance, like water, made its way and covered the exit. Midas stopped and turned to see the living room, kitchen, and everything in this apartment turn black.

"What is that?!" Yuko, scared, clung to Midas as her body trembled. Midas' eyes glowed.

"That is a demon," responded Midas as he pulled Yuko away, as spikes shot out from the ground. Then, pressure, pride, and wrath leaked out of Midas, the Demon screeched.

"Monster!!! Monster!!" The loud screech made Yuko cover her ears, sweat from her fear, and how the place was beginning to heat up.

Wrathful was burning hot, and bright as Midas' eyes turned red with gold, a horn above his head, two long, Yuko couldn't see it as Midas used illusion to cover that appearance.

The Demon emerged from the ground with a growl, and Yuko screamed, clinging to Midas and hiding her face.

"You! The one who opposed God's!" The Demon screeched as its spikes pricked the Demon's back, a long tail with a tip as sharp as a needle. The Demon's mouth was open, revealing only its sharp teeth.

"No, you got the wrong person" Midas then extended his hand "your weak" Midas pride flared as it pinned the Demon, who thrashed around, it's tail shot towards Midas who grab it, before it can even strike Yuko who turn to see how close it was, three inches close.

"No, I'm never wrong!!" The Demon screeched as it was pinned down; it tried to retract its tail, but Midas was stronger and held it.

"No, that's...my brother's," Midas spoke as his wrath began to take root in Midas' right hand, burning then onto the Demon's tail, who screamed.

"M-midas?" Yuko looked on, her eyes widening as the Demon's tail burst into flames. It was swift, consuming the Demon as it thrashed, but it was still pinned, unable to escape. The wrath consumed it, while his gluttony devoured the Demon's life to strengthen him.

Everything went back to normal—the living room, kitchen, everything. Midas pulls away from Yuko, who clings right back.

Then the door swung open.

"Mom! I'm home!"

Yuko froze as she turned to see her daughter, Aoi, freeze at the entrance, not because of how Yuko clung to Midas, but for another reason.

"M-midas," Aoi stuttered with a blush. Midas raised an eyebrow, tilting his head as his eyes swiftly scanned the girl.

'Aoi? So this is Yuko's daughter. I've seen her before, but I was distracted by other things.'

"Hey," Midas said calmly as he led Yuko to the small but comfortable living room; Aoi quickly followed.

"W-wait, what! Hold on, why are you here?" Aoi snapped back as she watched Midas make her mother sit down.

"Complicated," Midas responded as he turned to Aoi, who finches from his gaze, but Midas' eyes were on a string.

"Phone now," he commanded. Aoi flinched, but hurriedly took it out and handed it over. He unlocked it and sat down beside Yuko, who was still dazed. He scrolled through Aoi's phone until he found it, the app.

"Aoi, where did you download it?" Midas spoke as he showed the app to Aoi, who leaned close to see it. Her eyes darted to Midas, then back to the app, her blush deepening as she shyly spoke. "A friend, she did it for me, I didn't see how she did it." 

Midas frowned as he returned to examining the phone, unable to pinpoint the source of the hypnosis's power. He sighed, using gluttony to consume the 'thing' on the phone, and felt his strength surge.

"M-midas," a whisper, soft, trembling. Yuko turned to Midas, leaning closer, her thighs pressed against Midas' thigh, her eyes showed fear. Aoi was confused, so she spoke out. "Mom, what's wrong? Are you okay?"

"Mm, it's better if you explain it, darling." 

Aoi and Yuko turn to see a woman, beautiful with silver hair, who is next to Midas. Her head rested on Midas' shoulder, her hand intertwined with Midas' hand as she sought warmth, her eyes staring at the phone, then back at the Aoi and Yuko, who were too close.

"And it seems you were busy." Elise smiled as she yawned a bit and looked at Yuko, who was staring at her with unknown emotions.
