The Sister Paradox (The Big Bang Theory)

Ali POV

I made it back to the apartment after signing the documents with Sheldon in a relatively good mood. That was until I walked in on Penny making out with a random man on my couch. I mean full on tonsil hockey, it was jarring to walk in on unexpected no, surprising yes. Penny has always been physical when it comes to expressing her feeling. Unfortunately that left me to pick up the pieces when her relationships come crashing in around her. I cleared my throat in hopes of getting them to stop grinding one out on my couch with no luck so I chucked a magazine at her head. She disconnected her face and yelled "HEY, what was that for?" I looked her straight in the eyes and said. "For almost fucking on my couch. Go desecrate your own room not the common areas. I don't want to ever sit somewhere you've had sex." Penny just rolled her eyes as she pulled her mystery thumper into her bedroom. It didn't take long before I heard her music float threw the walls. 'Well at least I don't have to listen to her have sex." I thought to myself as I went about finally unpacking my kitchen and putting things away. 

It took me about two hours to get things washed and put away where they go and in those two hours I have heard some very questionable noises from Penny's room that I haven't heard since I left the farm. I am so going to tease her about the pig squeal that had me jump I almost dropped the pan I was washing. She had seemed to finally settle down a few minutes ago and just as I was starting to wonder if he was going to be staying the night I saw her door open and he walked out with a blushing Penny behind him. They walked to the door and stepped into the hallway. Curiosity got the better of me so I walked ok ran to the door and looked out the peep hole to see them kissing goodbye in the hall. It was then that I saw Leonard and Sheldon come up the stairs and it was almost pathetically sad how down trodden Leonard looked when her saw my sister with her arms wrapped around the neck of tall, dark and squealy. I snorted a laugh at that thought and went back to unpacking. 

Penny POV

I was saying goodbye to Todd when Leonard and Sheldon came up the stairs. It was awkward when I saw the look in Leonard's eyes it was the saddest look I had ever seen on a face outside of a funeral. I felt bad for the guy, he's sweet but just not my type Ali would tell me to tit up and not string him along, blunt honesty and all that but I just can't do it. He seems sweet so I guess I just have to let him know I'm only interested in being friends with him. Let him down easy yeah that's it. I turned to them after a steamy goodbye kiss from Todd and said, "Oh, hey guys. How was your day?" Leonard just looked at me with his puppy eyes while trying to maintain a smile and said, "It was fine. Did you know Ali came by the university today Sheldon wont tell us what it's about." He shot Sheldon a reproachful look as he said the last part. I chuckled and said, "Oh it must be about her new book though I can't tell you much more than that either her publisher made me sign a non disclosure agreement when she knew I was moving in." Leonard's jaw just dropped open as he looked between Sheldon and myself finally Sheldon broke the silence and said, "It's not a big deal, I am working to help her with the math and science ideas that she has in her new book nothing groundbreaking. The university is using it as free publicity in hopes of drawing in funding." Leonard finally cleared his throat and said, "That's cool I would love to read her book once it's out." I smiled at that knowing how Ali hates it when people she knows actually read her books. Todd chose right then to make his presence known and said, "Hey Pen I'm gonna go I got to get to the shop. Call you later?" I nodded and went to hug him but he picked me up and grabbed my ass making me laugh as I kissed him one last time before watching that man walk away and boy was it a nice view. I was starting to feel awkward with Leonard just staring at me so I decided to head back into the apartment. "Well I'm gonna head back in I have to get ready for work, I got stuck with the dinner shift. Have a good night guys." 

Sheldon POV

Deciding I have had enough with social hour in the hallway I opened the door to our apartment and walked inside. It took Leonard a few moments to finally stop staring at the closed door of 4B before he decided to join me inside. After he walked through the door he said, "Why can't she just see that I like her and would be a better boyfriend then whoever that was?" I looked at him and said, "Is that a rhetorical question of do you actually want me to answer that question?" he shot me a look and said, "It was rhetorical Sheldon, I know why she doesn't see me as a potential love interest yet. I will just have to try harder until she does. Maybe we should go to the cheesecake factory for dinner tonight, we could invite Ali as well." I didn't even think before I said, "But tonight is when we eat at Bob's Big Boy." Leonard almost whined when he said, "Please just this once can you not be so stubborn and do this for me so that I might have a chance with Penny or Ali please?" I took a long look at him before I said, "I can cope with a change in venue for dinner if only to stop your whining, but I want it known that I don't think you have any chance with either woman. Ali especially she has already shown a distinct discomfort in your mere presence. I may not be the most adept at picking up social ques but she isn't exactly subtle with her dislike of you and Howard." 

Leonard just laughed my words off and said, "I'm gonna call the guys and let them know of the change in plans. Can you go invite Ali?" He walked off into his room to call Howard and Raj after that leaving me to invite Ali to a dinner I'm almost positive she wants nothing to do with sue to the company that we would have to keep.
