Special Effect: Due to the trait (True Royalty), if the Host is fighting to save someone whom he believes to be innocent, All of the Host's stats will be enhanced by +10.]

I took a brief look at the new skill that I got due to my trait evolving and stood up in my position bracing myself for most likely that could be my very first battle with my life on stake.

"All Knights, Halt!" I shouted making my voice as deep and high as I could and raised the royal emblem high in the air, "I, Aiden Von Everhart, the Prince of this Kingdom hereby command you upon the Royal Name to cease your actions immediately or you would have to pay consequences."

Hearing my shout, all the knights and soldiers halted, turning to look in my direction.

'I am glad that they lis-' I breathed a sigh of relief thinking that I managed to stop them from slaughtering people but before I could think of what to do and how to handle the situation, I noticed that all of them indeed stopped slaughtering people but now they are coming for me instead.

"Did you not hear me, I said I am Aiden von Everhart--" As I stated my name once more the soldiers came towards me even more fiercely which made me certain that the reason for this invasion was my existence.

Seeing them running toward me, I fled to an alley to separate them as there were far too many Knights to handle alone. After running and turning corners whenever I could before running into a dead end, I ultimately managed to reduce the number of Knights to just a single one who was still following me and hadn't lost his way.

'Seems like I have to fight at last.' I turned back to look at the Knight who managed to follow me without losing his way.

"Phew~" I released a deep breath to calm myself down and assumed a battle stance, my knees slightly shaking due to the fear of fighting with my life at stake, "...Why are you guys doing this?" I asked trying to reason.

"Hnnghh..." To my question, the Knight growled and without saying a word swung his sword at me which I dodged by slightly tilting my body to the left and counterattacked by punching him in the stomach and managed to faze him a little.

'Can he not hear me?' I thought while barely managing to dodge every sword strike as even with my stats buffed by +10 and my senses enhanced, I was nowhere near a Knight who had served the kingdom in terms of pure stats and could dodge and counterattack just because he was swinging his sword with only brute force, not any technique behind it.

"Why did you betray the Kingdom that you serve?" I tried to ask one more time but met with the same response.

'Why isn't he saying anything and just continuing fighting like an animal?'

[Host, I think he is under a soul control spell, and a very strong one at that.]

'Soul ...Control Spell?'

[Yes, Soul Control Spell. It is a very difficult and rare spell in which the caster can completely control someone else's thoughts and actions by capturing his soul, all of the guilty knights most likely have their souls captured by someone.]

'So Can I even do something or Am I just gonna dodge till either one of us gets exhausted?'

[Well, you don't have any useful skills, nor have you awakened yet, so I guess it's the latter.]

'If you decided to be useful once, at least...' Swish~ '...Be completely useful!!' I yelled at Char inside my mind while kicking the Soul Controlled Knight with my full force making him backstep a bit.

"Hrrgh..." The Knight growled in pain, dropping the sword and gripping his stomach where I kicked.

'He is no different than an animal, right now, is he?' I felt pity looking at the Knight who was serving the kingdom till yesterday and now doesn't even have the free will to move on his own.

[Host, Monster would be a better word than Animal.]

'Monster? What do you mean by Monster--' Before I could ask Char what she meant by that; I noticed the Knight's hand glowing in an Icy blue light, and then almost immediately I saw an Icicle spear coming towards me at a tremendous pace. 

Seeing the Icicle spear seemingly emerge out of nowhere, I was taken aback for a moment which was all it took for the Icicle spear to get through my defenses.

'Is this the end?' I thought, prepared to at least be hurt if not die, as the Icicle spear hit me, but contrary to my thought, as soon as the Icicle spear touched my body, it turned into a beautiful fading light and vanished into nothingness.

'Huh ...Huh???? T-That Magic Spell just vanished into thin air, didn't it?' I was bewildered at the sight that just unfolded before me.

[Why are you acting so surprised, host? I have already explained that Any type of Water and Wind cannot harm you due to the Blessings of Sovereigns.]

'I mean, yeah, you said that, but this was the first time I ever saw it happening in reality.' I replied as until now I have only known that I have some special kind of blessings, but this was the very first time I ever saw one of my blessings affecting reality which far exceeded what I was expecting as not only did the Icicle spear vanish, but when it did so, I also felt Cool energy surging through my body revitalizing my stamina.

"Hrrgh... HAAAAAAA!!!!!" As I was taking in how great my blessings were, the Knight grabbed his head and yelled like he was on the brink of going berserk but before anything could have gone south, the light in the Knight's eye went off and he collapsed on the ground as he was never alive in the first place.

Seeing him collapse, I quickly rushed to the Knight's Body to check what happened that made him drop to the ground suddenly, but to my surprise, I couldn't find a single physical injury on his body, and as I tried to wrap my head around the situation, the sound of footsteps echoed in the eerie alleyway.

"I only commanded this one to confirm if you are indeed the prince, but alas, he lost all the remaining control he had, So I had to Kill him. I hope that you don't hold this humble Priest accountable for that, ...Your Highness." A Mysterious Man dressed completely in a White priest robe emerged from the corner, and seeing his face, a chill went down my spine.

He was, none other than the Pope Eugene who had named me but the thing that horrified me was that his eyes contained no emotions as he said the words about murdering and controlling some innocent knight.

The Kindness and the purity that one might expect to see in a Pope were not there instead a fire for revenge and betrayal was burning in his eyes, which made him look as if Satan himself had appeared before me.
