The Star Lord of Asgard

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: Conflict! Battle With Galactus (Part 2)

"When will you warriors learn to change your ways? Always eager to challenge the strong, despite the universe being filled with hidden powers. Aren't you afraid of losing your life one day?" Della remarked, addressing Shaka without harsh reprimand.

As the Saint Seiya personally selected by Della, and having been active on Asgard's front lines, their combative nature was ingrained from youth—a responsibility Della partly shared.

"Brace yourself!" Della warned, sensing a massive energy surge approaching them. Despite the distance, the oppressive power already weighed heavily on them.

Shaka winced, feeling the strain. Having just entered the early stages of his sixth sense without divine blessing, he faced immense pressure from Galactus' imposing presence.

"You should leave. You can't help here, and if a battle breaks out, I can't protect you," Della advised Shaka. Given Shaka's current strength, even the battle's aftermath could prove fatal.

Floating in the void, Della watched as Galactus' colossal form slowly emerged. As expected of a god capable of consuming planets, his size rivaled that of the Celestials.

"Asgardian! How dare you kill my herald!" Galactus perceived Shaka's departure but remained focused on the powerful presence before him—Della.

"This was an unfortunate mistake. Asgard seeks no conflict with you. We can guide you to uninhabited planets as compensation," Della offered, aware that Galactus, a remnant of the previous universe, held some understanding of good and evil.

Galactus preferred consuming barren planets over those with life, if available.

"Very well! But you must hand over the one who killed my herald, and you must become my herald!" Galactus demanded, recognizing Della's potential to ease his planet-devouring endeavors.

"You want me as a herald?" Della was taken aback, surprised by Galactus' proposition, which he could not accept.

"Your Excellency, I cannot comply with your demands, nor will I become your herald!" Della firmly rejected Galactus.

"Then I'll devour you and Asgard!" Galactus fumed, unaccustomed to defiance as one of the universe's creator gods.

With those words, Galactus shifted to a humanoid form, his massive body morphing into a size akin to the Destroyer's armor.

Witnessing the transformation, Della felt a twinge of anxiety. In later eras, Galactus did appear in humanoid form, but his appearance varied strangely.

Different races perceived Galactus in their own likeness. Skrulls, for example, saw him as a Skrull.

The humanoid armor served to contain Galactus' energy, aiding in its management and use. Unrestrained, Galactus risked starvation—a peculiar trait for a creator god.

Blue stars flickered as Della entered battle mode, armor enveloping him. Vast energy surged forth, creating ripples in the surrounding cosmos.

Galactus' abilities were extraordinary. He could alter matter's structure, teleport through space and time, and wield a formidable energy barrier akin to an AT field.

In his prime, Galactus equaled a universe-sized sun, capable of obliterating multiple parallel universes in an explosion.

Yet, despite such power, in later eras, Galactus suffered repeated defeats due to extreme hunger, facing rebirths and numerous superhero beatings. His power fluctuated dramatically.

Though not as weakened as in those future conflicts, the Galactus of today remained formidable. A mere millennium or two meant little to godly beings.

"Galaxy Starburst!" Della launched his attack without hesitation.

At the sixth sense's peak, blessed with divine power and godhood, Della's Galaxy Starburst could devastate a planet's surface, approaching Level God Father power.

A torrent of starlight surged toward Galactus. Despite his weakened state, Galactus easily countered the assault.

A mighty barrier materialized before him, blue light illuminating the universe. It clashed with the incoming torrent, unleashing energy waves that obliterated everything nearby.

Blocking Della's attack, Galactus retaliated with a similar beam, simple yet immensely powerful—enough to annihilate Earth.

"Indeed, the God of Creation remains formidable. Despite countless defeats in later eras, Galactus, often sacrificed in grand events, still wields immense power even now," Della mused, feeling the energy tide.

How such a being repeatedly faced defeat by future superheroes puzzled him.

With wings aflame, Della's armor, bolstered by his microcosm and divine power, enabled short-range teleportation—jumping through space. Galactus' attack missed its mark.

Luckily, Galactus' weakness meant his power wasn't limitless. Otherwise, Della's fate would be sealed.

Sensing his own power's limits, Galactus opted for close combat. His armor, among the universe's toughest, provided confidence.

Both capable of teleportation, countless figures clashed in the starry expanse, their collisions echoing loudly.

"Asgard's eldest prince can hold his own against the Planet Devourer!" Spectators across the universe observed.

Recent cosmic news centered on Asgard.

First, they curbed the gods' emergence, then battled the Celestials' end, and later announced peace. Now, conflict with the Planet Devourer erupted.
