Chapter 816 - 810: The River that Blocks the Way
Chapter 816: Chapter 810: The River that Blocks the Way
“`
“Pet Name”: Time Elf
“Pet Type”: Time
“Species Level”: Emperor
“Grade”: Class VIII lower-level
“Species Skill”: Time Recovery, Time Disturbance, Spacetime Travel, Awaken Song
“Pet Profile”: A sprite formed from the essence of time, possessing the mysterious power to control the flow of time. In ancient legends, a sufficient number of Time Elves singing together could even reverse time and return to the past.
Looking at the information identified with his Golden Eyes of Flame, David Jones was sure this was the Candle Dragon Palace he was searching for.
Unfortunately, the Time Elf was too shy, otherwise, David Jones would have asked it for the exact location of the palace.
“Let’s keep moving.”
Since he missed the opportunity, he might as well let it be. The number of Time Elves inside the Candle Dragon Palace was unknown, and David Jones didn’t want to provoke them for the time being. He just wanted to find a place where the Time Law flowed so Loona could complete her evolution.
“Lolo!” (What a strange fellow!)
Watching David Jones’ vanishing figure, the Time Elf covered her mouth, her cheeks slightly blushing in annoyance at her own timidity and cowardice.
The Time Elf tribe is hidden within time itself, neither their appearance nor their singing can be heard by the world.
Having finally encountered someone who could see her, how could she let him leave without saying hello!
With that thought, the Time Elf’s wings, covered in runes, couldn’t help but tremble slightly.
It wanted to catch up and say hello.
…
“Who’s going up?”
David Jones asked, crouched behind a dazzling stone.
Not far in front of him, two spiritually charged silver dragons were battling each other.
During his exploration, David Jones discovered that apart from the Time Elves, there was a special kind of dragon roaming inside the Candle Dragon Palace.
These dragons not only contained immense Arcane Force but also actively devoured their own kind within the palace.
However, more than Arcane Force, what David Jones cared about was the luminescence on the dragons’ surfaces, which was the manifestation of broken Law fragments.
“Ee.” (Let me do it.)
Rainbow said eagerly.
Instinct told it that if it could absorb these two dragons, the refining progress of its Annihilation Dragon Element might increase significantly.
“Then it’s all yours!” David Jones patted Rainbow’s head.
“Ee.” (No problem.)
Rainbow nodded, instantly teleported forward, and with the might that swept heavens and earth, its Ice-Fire Zone erupted, enveloping the two dragons.
“Pff!”
The two dragons, with Normal Arcane Force Value comparable to Class VII Overlords, were immobilized, their ethereal forms rapidly distorted under the terrifying Domination.
Soon after, they exploded into annihilation, leaving behind only two streaks of spirit light falling down.
Seeing this, Rainbow’s eyes brightened, its claw deftly caught them and handed them over to David Jones.
“Broken Law Crystal – Space”: Level VII Epic resource, contains extremely pure Arcane Force that can be easily absorbed and refined, and it can also be used to comprehend the Space Law.
Note: Absorbing Law Crystals might rapidly elevate one’s Strength Level but could lead to an unstable foundation, causing most powerful beings to use them to comprehend Laws instead.
Seeing the pros and cons of the Broken Law Crystal, David Jones smiled.
An unstable foundation also depends on who it is.
With the daily Dragon-Wielding Force and Dragon Crystal Strengthen, the foundation for Rainbow and the other pets was incredibly robust – a mere Law Crystal couldn’t possibly shake their foundation.
With that in mind, David Jones activated his Golden Eyes of Flame and handed the Law Crystals to his two pets.
“Rainbow, try using it to refine your Dragon Element, and Lolo, try using it to comprehend the Space Law.”
“`
Hearing this, both pets nodded.
Under David Jones’s watchful eye, the Rainbow Spirit Dragon grasped the Law Crystal tightly and operated the Taikoo Black Dragon Chart. A torrential surge of Arcane Force instantly merged into its Annihilation Dragon Element.
“Eek!” (That was fast!)
The Rainbow Spirit Dragon excitedly opened its dragon eyes.
The Arcane Force within the Law Crystal flowed like water that moisturizes everything, making it exceptionally easy to absorb.
Just ten minutes had passed when it had already infused all the Arcane Force from the Broken Crystal into the Dragon Element, increasing the refining progress of the Annihilation Dragon Element by a full ten percent.
In other words, it only needed to absorb nine more Broken Crystals to refine the Annihilation Dragon Element four times.
Thinking of this, the Rainbow Spirit Dragon couldn’t wait to grab hold of David Jones’s sleeve.
“Shh, don’t disturb Lolo.”
David Jones raised his index finger to his lips, signaling the Rainbow Spirit Dragon to be quiet, while his eyes carefully observed the spatial fluctuations spreading around Lolo—the traces of the Space Rule manifesting.
As time passed, a hazy glow burst forth from the green leaves above Lolo’s head, as if a brand new world was about to form.
“Cheep!” (It’s a pity it’s still far from enough!)
Lolo felt somewhat disappointed.
Unlike the Mesona Space opened up by the Dragon Ball, the world created by the green leaves belonged entirely to itself.
If it were to successfully Open the Sky, it could even leverage the power of nurturing a world to fully step into Class VIII Emperor.
Unfortunately, although there were many spatial Rules in the Broken Crystals, it still wasn’t enough to condense a new world.
“There’s no need to be anxious, there are plenty of Broken Crystals here,” David Jones said with a sparkling light in his eyes.
The greater the quality and expanse of the world Lolo creates, the higher the potential after Evolution.
Perhaps the Refined Universe Crystal, along with a sufficient number of Broken Crystals, could enable Lolo to open up an unprecedented Middle Thousand Worlds.
As for the even higher Great Thousand Worlds, David Jones didn’t dare to entertain such a thought; that mighty power probably lay only within the reach of an Eternal True God.
“How about we have a preliminary contest within the team?”
Sensing the eager gazes of the little ones, David Jones spoke softly, “We will set a period of one month, and rank each other based on the number of Law Crystals hunted. At that time, whoever has collected the most Law Crystals will be the first in the preliminaries and will directly enter the top three in the future team Hegemony Race. What do you think?”
To David Jones’s surprise, no one objected, not even Loona, the weakest in the team.
However, Loona had one condition; it wanted to complete its Evolution before the hunting contest to ensure fairness.
…
Boom!
An exceedingly ruthless column of light pierced through several dragon figures.
The darkness in the Gluttonous Beast’s mouth dissipated, and three [Broken Crystals – Darkness] fell in front of it.
“The fifteenth one, still no Time Type.” David Jones put away the pitch-black Crystal and shook his head in resignation.
After their continued sweep along the way, David Jones managed to collect Darkness, Space, and Five Elements Law Crystals, but was yet to encounter any other Types.
“Roar.”
The Gluttonous Beast indicated that there was a palace ahead.
David Jones immediately perked up.
Then, after an hour of hurrying through the dead and monotonous Crystal Land, they arrived in front of a majestic and spectacular palace.
However, a sudden Time Waterfall pouring down from a rift in the sky blocked their path, like a Divine Dragon descending into the world, emitting a supreme will that sent tremors through the heart and soul.
Enter, and face a life and death divide.
Retreat, and remain unharmed.
To step into the river of Time is to witness the cycle of life and death; only those with great will and destiny can enjoy Eternity without becoming lost, and those without are fated to never enter the Candle Dragon Palace.
“So this is how it is, one must cross this river to enter the Candle Dragon Palace,” David Jones murmured to himself.
