Chapter 824 - 818: The Beginning Is Imminent
Chapter 824: Chapter 818: The Beginning Is Imminent
Time passed, and another week went by.
“Has he returned?”
Sensing the traces of spatial flow, Lilith Hoyle suddenly opened her eyes, filled with anticipation.
She didn’t know if David Jones had succeeded in evolving Loona into a Time Type Pet, but she hoped to witness a miracle happening next.
“Tea… Teacher?”
Staring at the elegant woman before him, with deep eyes and a graceful figure, David Jones was taken aback.
If it weren’t for the fact that her aura hadn’t changed much, he wouldn’t have recognized her from her appearance alone as Lilith.
“Such superficial changes are unimportant,” Lilith Hoyle said with a wave of her hand and a smile.
If the Sea-saving Turtle hadn’t sacrificed its shell, she would’ve needed to break through to become a Deity Trainer to remedy the drawbacks her cultivation method had brought.
“What about Mr. Turtle?” David looked around.
“The senior has fallen,” Lilith Hoyle’s smile faded.
David Jones fell silent for a moment.
If he wasn’t wrong, the changes in his teacher must be related to Mr. Turtle’s demise.
“The senior hoped you would take good care of it after,” Lilith Hoyle said.
With a wave of her hand, the Sea-saving Turtle, which had fainted, immediately appeared in front of David Jones.
“Pet Name”: Sea-saving Turtle
“Current Status”: Deep Sleep (Bloodline Advancement)
David Jones activated his Golden Eyes of Flame and immediately recognized the Type Arcane Force flowing through the Sea-saving Turtle.
“I will,” he said.
To avoid affecting the Sea-saving Turtle’s transformation, David Jones didn’t put it into the Mesona Space, allowing it to instinctively absorb the Arcane Force inside the Dragon Palace.
“Did you succeed?” Lilith Hoyle broke the silence.
A faint light flickered through the Star Ring on David’s hand, forming a purple summoning Rune Circle before him.
A pressure unique to an Ultimate Emperor Type swept through as Loona appeared.
“A Time Type Ultimate Emperor?” Lilith Hoyle’s eyes revealed a hint of shock.
In her view, there was nothing in this world that was absolutely impossible.
Even the time evolution that no one in the country had achieved, Lilith Hoyle believed David Jones might succeed.
Yet even so, the scene before her was beyond her comprehension.
With sufficient Pet Resources, the lowest limit for an Ultimate Emperor Type Pet was a Class VIII Quasi-Immortal.
That meant if Loona didn’t perish midway, she could at least grow into a Class VIII Quasi-Immortal in the future, and a prestigious Time Type at that!
Once he became a Deity Trainer, even the President of the Association might be no match for David Jones!
“With the aid of the Time Dragon, Loona luckily succeeded,” David Jones said truthfully.
However, this explanation caused Lilith Hoyle some perplexity.
Youth should carry the vitality and boldness of youth.
Her beloved disciple was excellent in all respects but too modest and composed, not at all like a twenty-year-old young man.
“I still have several Golden Elixir furnaces to refine, otherwise, remaining in the West Sea Dragon Palace for seclusion could be an interesting affair,” Immortal said.
As Immortal spoke, she paused slightly and reminded David Jones, “The Overlord’s Path at Blunt College is about to begin. I’ve spent some of my merits to secure you a spot. Don’t miss it when the time comes.”
“Teacher, what is the Overlord’s Path?” David Jones asked, his tone one of confusion.
He was aware of Overlords, but this was the first time he had heard of the Overlord’s Path.
“The Overlord’s Path can induce an incredible transformation in your Pet’s bloodline, significantly boosting its potential. To partake, a Trainer must hold Contracts with at least three Overlord-level Pets,” Lilith Hoyle explained.
“Have you ever heard of the Buried Land?”
“No,” said David Jones, frowning.
“The Buried Land is a gorge filled with the Creation Force of heaven and earth. It is one of Blunt College’s foundations. It is said to be a God Casting Pool from the era of the Heavenly Emperor that can nurture Immortals,” Lilith Hoyle said.
Upon hearing this, David Jones’s eyes revealed a hint of astonishment.
If the Buried Land could nurture Immortals, then it stood to reason that the Flowery Kingdom wouldn’t lack an Immortal Trainer by now. Could there be some kind of drawback?
“Does it seem too far-fetched? The nation’s exploration of the Heavenly Emperor Relics proceeds slowly, making it challenging to verify the authenticity of such rumors. Just take this as a story,” Immortal noted.
Lilith Hoyle continued, “The so-called Overlord’s Path is Blunt College’s way of using the Buried Land as a furnace to open up a path to dominance for the nation’s powerful individuals.”
“Within the Buried Land, any Pet above Overlord status that defeats an opponent can absorb a strand of the essence of land, enhancing its body. The more opponents defeated, the more powerful the essence of land absorbed.”
“The effects of the essence of land vary, depending on the amount collected by the Trainer. One strand of essence of land can refine a Pet’s bloodline, improving its strength by a small Tier. Two strands can cause a Pet’s bloodline to regress to its ancestors, greatly increasing its potential, and five strands can trigger a Pet’s bloodline to evolve from Overlord to Emperor.”
“If one can collect ten strands of essence of land, it can lead to a fundamental transformation in the Pet, possibly even evolving it into an Ultimate Emperor species.”
“Do you understand now? Every Trainer that enters the Overlord’s Path is a competitor. Whoever stands last will be the sole Overlord!” Lilith Hoyle said.
“The victor is king, no wonder it’s named Overlord’s Path,” David Jones thought, some excitement stirring within him.
He rarely fought with the nation’s powerful individuals, and the Overlord’s Path sounded quite appealing.
“Teacher, does this mean that there are ten powerful Trainers participating in the Overlord’s Path? How many legendary individuals are involved?” he asked.
“The consumption required to initiate the Overlord’s Path is excessively extravagant. Apart from Blunt College, which has two spots, the other Five Greats can only apply for one each,” Lilith Hoyle explained.
“At the end of the day, the Overlord’s Path is somewhat similar to the Celestial Realm. The former is to foster Ultimate Emperor Pets, while the latter aims to nurture legendary Deities. Therefore, typically, only legendary individuals with exceptional merits apply.”
“However, the mysterious energy permeating the Buried Land can increase a Pet’s Evolution rate by twenty percent. For that reason, some Epics with extraordinary Talent occasionally apply.”
Hearing this, David Jones’s brow furrowed, suddenly feeling a bit uneasy.
Legendary individuals vary in strength, and the Flowery Kingdom’s Big Five’s legendary fighters are not ones that someone fortunate enough to advance, like Master Cloud Divot, could easily confront.
It seemed he needed to absorb more Broken Crystals in the coming time to advance his Arcane Star Cultivation from Class VII initial stage to medium stage.
He also needed to exchange for high-quality Level VIII spirit wood to assist Lolo in advancing to Level VIII Emperor. Only then might he have a chance to stand at the end of the Overlord’s Path.
But David Jones had one more question, “Teacher, if there are only six spots, how am I to collect all ten strands of essence of land?”
Noticing David Jones’s confidence and ambition, Lilith Hoyle smiled.
That’s the spirit a young person should have!
“Besides Trainers, the Buried Land also houses Blunt College’s sleeping Imperial Beasts.”
“These Imperial Beasts typically remain dormant, but they awaken from their slumber when the Overlord’s Path begins, engaging in fierce battles to seize the essence of land.”
“In my opinion, these slumbering Imperial Beasts, having slept for who knows how many years, may well be your greatest competitors!” Lilith Hoyle specifically warned.
