The Strongest Family in Existence

1.5 Hours Later

Apollyon POV

As we walked through the Forest, I now realize how dangerous this forest is without the help of the Lizardfolk Chief showing me the way.

As we kept exploring, the Lizardfolk Chief kept showing me what types of poisonous plants I should avoid and the surprisingly survivable plants and fruits I should consume.

As I was about to eat the fruit the Lizardfolk Chief had given me he told me something about the fruit that made me swiftly throw it in the distance before I turned my body into lightning.

LF Chief: "But the fruit you have in your hand will explode with its seeds shooting out"

Whoosh

Crack!

BOOM!!!

Whoosh!

Bam!

Whoosh!

Bam!

I saw numerous small seeds shoot out and hit my body before it passed through my body turning into ash.

Apollyon: "Huh, so their similar..but you didn't feel anything?"

LF Chief: "Hmm? No our scales protect us from its deadly poison but for younger ones they need to hide as their scales haven't fully formed"

Apollyon: "Then their not similar, but what exactly does their poison do?"

LF Chief: "If it were a mammal without thick skin or scales they would become paralyzed and die within minutes as the poison finds its way into their hearts"

Apollyon: "Hmm, well thats something…"

I thought to maybe use these types of fruits as substitutes for grenades and nodded with the only problem being if they randomly exploded or only when the fruit is cracked open and you hold it for a couple seconds.

It wasn't long before we continued our walk as I avoided small worm like tentacles hiding in certain areas and watched the Lizardfolk Chief threw a random fruit towards it.

Whoosh

Crack!

BOOM!!!

Tentacles rose up from the ground before they stabbed through the fruit as it exploded and I heard a loud shrieking coming underneath a tree.

We left the area to head towards the nearby Aymara Swamps where I would be crossing and as we walked through I saw a pack of Cold Ones and as we hid behind a bush I accidentally stepped on a twig.

Crack

Within moments the Cold Ones charged at us and the Lizardfolk Chief raised his crystal tipped spear before jumping on a tree and what he said next surprised me.

LF Chief: "The Starpriest said you need to defeat beasts but I believe this is to get you a mount"

Apollyon: "Alrighty then! Just think of it as wild bull riding!"

I clapped my hands and a shockwave of electricity was sent out sending the Cold Ones flying.

Whoosh!

Whoosh!

I teleported to one of the nearby Cold Ones and jumped ontop of it and it started running wuickly and it was at that moment I forgot to ask the Lizardfolk Chief how to properly tame the beast.

Apollyon: "Hey! How do I tame it!"

The Lizardfolk Chief started to run after me jumping from tree branch to tree branch as the other Cold Ones started following and gaining on us.

LF Chief: "Forcefully become the Alpha by beating it into submission or train it while it is young…"

BANG!

I sighed before I took out Shadow of Death and raised my revolver high in the air before I pulled the trigger and the loud sound made the Cold one I was on along with the other Cold Ones chasing us come to a sudden stop.

I got off the non reactive Cold one and I walked in front of it before I started patting its head surprising the beast before I saw its tail move side to side.

The more I kept gently patting its rough head the more it had an effect on the Cold one before it laid down on its back.

Apollyon: "Ah their just overgrown dogs!"

I started rubbing its stomach and the Lizardfolk Chief stared at me incredibly and I nodded and told him to do the same and seeing the same reaction I stepped back.

Crack!

I looked back at the pack of 4 Cold Ones who were looking at us weirdly and so I decided to the same I did to the other Cold Ones and individually patted each of their heads before they all became submissive and rolled on their backs.

Apollyon: "At least this reminds me somewhat of home…"

But focusing on the task, I picked the Cold One that had a horn pn the end of its snout and once I got on I waited for the Lizardfolk Chief to get on one and we headed towards the swamp.

As we passed he kept telling me what types of plant leaves I should mix together to stop some mild poisons and how to properly disinfect any wounds with types of specific plants to which I thanked him for his knowledge.

1 Hour Later

As we arrived I couldn't help but look at the marsh of swamps and the amount of plus sized mosquitoes that I had to constantly use my electrified form to get rid of them.

Of course the Lizardfolk Chief told me to get some of these mosquitoes proboscis as they had varying types of unique poisons I could use to paralyze, kill, or poison dangerous beasts that could attack me.

And I should sometimes save the mosquitoes blood sacks to replenish the unbroken proboscis that are empty.

I nodded serious and I decided to bite my finger and as blood pooled I swore I heard numerous gulps before a black mass of large red eyed mosquitoes flew towards my direction.

I waved my thumb to my left and swiftly teleported with my body becoming pure electricity I charged towards the swarm and with every wave of my hand numerous mosquitoes died.

15 minutes later

As I came out of the swarm I looked at my hands that held 30 large proboscis and 4 mosquitoes without their legs only the face and blood sacks.

LF Chief: "You truly are a Demi-god chosen by the Old Ones!"

I couldn't help but raise my head proudly before I stared at the swamp that had bubbles forming and saw two large eyes rise up and stare at me.

LF Chief: "The Overlord of the Aymara Swamp, The Red Snout Krox…"

I nodded and felt it wasn't necessary to probe into the Overlord of the Swamp. But as I was about to return back towards where the Starpriest was.

I felt the Lizard Chief put his hand on my shoulder and shake his head before he started speaking.

LF Child: "I was told to swiftly let you familiarize yourself with our home while we made our way here to the Bridge between Lustria and the Isthmus of Lustria…"

I sighed before I took a deep breath and nodded, I told him goodbye and swiftly got up on my horned Cold One and waited as the Horned Cold One rubbed it's head against a female Cold One.

LF Chief: "Before leaving I believe this would help with carrying your items"

I grabbed the large beast-skin satchel and I put it on before thanking the Lizardfolk Chief as I put all my gathered items inside the bag and we left the swamps and towards the Continent of Lustria.

4 Hour Later

The Obsidian Face

As I walked past the tall woods I stared at the large Monument that was made from a type of black stone closely resembling obsidian.

As I neared the place I felt numerous eyes on me but I couldn't see where they came from but I cautiously approached the large Obsidian Monument and got off my mount.

I walked towards the monument before I placed my the palm of my hand onto the obsidian surface and closed my eyes.

Whooosh!!!

BOOOOM!!!

As if something had pushed me into the Obsidian I opened my eyes and looked at my blue colored body with the green feathered serpent of Kukulkan being the most prominent feature.

Inside the Obsidian Monument

Apollyon: "What is this place…?"

???: "A place where one challenges themselves and becomes a true Warrior…"

Apollyon: "Who's speaking?"

???: "That would be me young warmblood…"

I turned around to see a large toad like being who stared at me with a smile on its face.

Apollyon: "Then this place is your home…?"

???: "You could say that, but this is where many Great Saurus come to challenge themselves to become revered guardians"

Apollyon: "Then, If you wouldn't mind sending me back…"

???: "Hmm? Do you not wish to see the challenge warmblood?"

Apollyon: "Well, I am on a journey towards Itza to speak to Lord Kroak"

???: "Is that so? But wouldn't you at least give it a try?"

Thinking hard wether I should at least try the challenge or continue onwards for the next few days.

???: "Fret not warmblood, you willl receive a reward from me to help you reach my fellow brethren swiftly"

I nodded and decided to accept his challenge and the large toad like being raised his hands as his eyes turned white and the entire black space turned into the local fauna I had seen before.

ROOOOOOOAAARR!!!

While looking around I heard the loudest roar I ever heard in my life with numerous Sequoia trees being broken apart in rapid succession alongside large heavy stomps coming my way.

STOMP!!!

CRACK!!!

ROOOOOAAAARRR!!!!

Apollyon: "Ah….What in gods name is that monstrosity!?!?"

As I witnessed the massive beast charge straight through the sequoia trees and got a full look at it before it let out a loud roar that almost tore my eardrums.

I made sure to take a good look at its prominent features which was its rather massive jaw and its small arms on its massive black stripped body.

While it looked a bit comical, its heavy and domineering presence speaks volume of its strength, thats for certain.

Apollyon: "You're telling me the Lizardfolk have to fight these beasts in order to become Revered Guardians!?!?"

???: "No warmblood, it is but one of the major hurdles in thwir way of becoming a Revered Guardian"

Apollyon: "And I need to kill the beast to make it so I pass this challenge?"

???: "As long as you are able to subjugate the Great Black Striped Tyrannax in any form, you will pass my trial and get your reward"

As I looked briefly at the giant toad that was now sitting on a stone throne with mayan or Aztecan symbols I grimaced at the thought of fighting it.

I nodded and took a deep breath before taking a look at my surroundings and fully changed the form of Judgement to the Tesla rifle and raising the rifle I aimed at the figure of the Tyrannax.

Whoosh

Sizzle

Whoosh

RATATA x10

Pulling the trigger, a barrage of small blue testa orbs shot out the barrel hitting the steel like scales of the Tyrannax but it did nothing as the mad Beast lunged at me with its jaws wide open.

STOMP!!!

STOMP!!!

WHOOSH!

CRASH!!!

I made my entire body turn into electricity and teleported out of the way and appeared to the far right and swiftly changed my weapon to the customized 20mm 'Tyrannosaur' rifle that I personally invested time into improving.

KA-BOOOOM!!!

ROOOAAARRR!!!

I aimed the 20mm 'Tyrannosaur' at its chest and pulled the trigger before a large round shot out the chamber at incredible speeds as it struck into the scaled armor of the Tyrannax.

With its loud roar of agony I stared at the recoiling Tyrannax and felt satisfaction knowing it was worth spending a couple grand on.

ROOOAAARRR!!!

I focused once more before I aimed down the long scope at its body and pulled the trigger and the Tyrannax roared once more as its proud scaled body failed to block the two piercing blows of its prey.

When I was about to fire the third round, the massive Tyrannax let out a loud roar before it raised its muscular leg high and slammed it onto the ground.

Rumble!

Crack!

Rumble!

Crack!

Seeing the entire ground crack like spiderwebs I swiftly got up and started running opposite of the cracked ground.

Not long after, The Black Striped Tyrannax started to curl its long tail before I witnessed thick spikes come out of its tail and as it stared at me I decided to run into Sequoia woods before I started climbing quickly.

ROOOAAAAARRR!!!

In a burst of endless rage I saw the Tyrannax start swinging its tail towards me before the black spikes from its tail were sent flying towards my general direction.

Apollyon: "Damn

Feeling my Sequoia tree start falling due to the explosive power of the Tyrannax's spikes I aimed my 20mm rifle at the Tyrannax and aimed at its battered body but it appeared it learned it's lesson as it sprinted to the right breaking Sequoia tree after Sequoia tree.

ROOOOAAAARR!!!

STOMP!!!

CRACK!!!

STOMP!!!

CRACK!!!

STOMP!!!

CRACK!!!

STOMP!!!

Apollyon: "So you can learn huh! Then lets take it up a notch!"

I turned my body into full electricity and teleported to the cracked ground and changed my weapon to the Tesla Canon and waited as I felt the heavy stomps lessen as the surrounding turned eerily quiet.

Whoosh

BOOM!!!

Whoosh

BOOM!!!

Whoosh

BOOM!!!

All of a sudden I heard heavy object being thrown and I turned to look at the sky as I witnessed the massacre of Sequoia Trees being launched at my general location and I started to run out of the open space.

Whoosh

ROOOAAAARRR!!!

But it was all for naught as I saw the Black Striped Tyrannax appear out of nowhere as he lunged at me from above roaring with its jaws wide open.

Whoosh

CHOMP!!!

I jumped left onto one of the Sequoia Tree's trunks and saw the Tyrannax turn its head at me before its massive body tore through the Sequoia trees and rolled into the open area.

I wasted no time in charging at the beast and with the Tesla Cannon I launched a large blue tesla sphere and it hit the Tyrannax that roared in pain before it set its maddened eyes at me and roared loudly stunning me as my eardrums popped

Whoosh!

BAM!

Apollyon: "Da-!"

ROOOOOAAARRR!!!

I felt my eyes widen before I was sent flying by the Tyrannax's massive tails and I could smell my blood as two of its tails spikes tore into my body.

Whoosh

BAM

I crashed onto a Sequoia tree and stopped as I felt every bone in my body break but it wasn't enough for the Tyrannax that wanted revenge.

I saw it walk towards one of the thrown Sequoia trees and grab it with its large jaws before it threw it high in the air.

Crackle!

Whoosh

BOOOM!!!

I swiftly turned my body into pure electricity and teleported out of the Seqoia tree I was stuck in and the large Sequoia tree the Tyrannax threw in the air was sent flying at me by its tail.

As the tree crashed onto my previous spot I fell to my knees and took short consecutive breaths and I got back up slowly making sure to stay in my electrified form as it made it easy to move without too much pain.

I looked at the Tyrannax that stared at me with its enraged yet intelligent eyes and I met its gaze back with defiance.

I changed the form of my weapons back to its original form and I took out both Shadow of Death and Judgement and made sure to fill them with G.O.D bullets.

Apollyon: "Damn you beast! Damn myself for accepting this challenge! But as the final show down has arrived…lets end it with a bang!"

ROOOOAAAARRR!!!

I slowly started running at the Tyrannax that did the same with a loud roar as it didn't take my eyes off me and unknown to me it slowly changed its perception of me from prey to strong prey.

Narrator POV

BANG!

STOMP!!!

BANG!

STOMP!!!

BANG!

STOMP!!!

BANG!

STOMP!!!

BANG!

As both neared eachother, Apollyon raised both of his revolvers and started to fire with each bullet counting down the time both fighters would clash in the middle with the large slaan up in the sky watching this battle with immense interest.

It had never expected the warmblood of the Old Ones to have so much potential and power to fight a Mighty Tyrannax by himself and not give up its will in the jaws of death.

It wasn't long before the Tyrannax swung its body around with the intention to skewer its prey but Apollyon had jumped high dodging the Tyrannax's tail sweep and got shot in the head by heavy explosions.

ROOOOOAAARR!!!

With another roar the Tyrannax opened its jaws to chomp on Apollyons figure but being nimble he rolled to the right and continued shooting.

BANG!

BANG!

THUD

BANG!

BANG!

THUD

Reloading swiftly Apollyon continued shooting going full offensive with every two shots making a heavy scale tear off the Tyrannax body.

The Tyrannax jumped back before it started spinning around in a full circle throwing black spikes from its tail and Apollyon rolled or ducked and switched Judgement to the 20mm Rifle and fired at its neck as blood sprayed everywhere.

Whoosh

Splash!

But that didn't stop the enraged Tyrannax that continued to strike with chomps, tail sweeps, and lunges full of vitality.

Whoosh

CHOMP!!!

Seeing the Tyrannax lunge at him, Apollyon jumped up a broken Sequoia tree and onto the back of the Tyrannax.

BANG!

STOMP!!!

BANG!

STOMP!!!

BANG!

CRASH!!!

Using both revolvers, to continuously fire onto the Tyrannax back Apollyon stayed on until the Tyrannax started running and threw itself towards the Sequoia trees.

Apollyon jumped off and slid on the trunk of a sequoia tree and kept shooting at the Tyrannax before it turned around and charged at Apollyon once again.

Whoosh

BAM!

CRACK!!!

BAM!

CRACK!!!

BAM!

Once it neared it waved its tail as numerous black spikes were thrown at Apollyon who cursed and started jumpinging from Sequoia tree to Sequoia tree.

The Tyrannax once more had raised its heavy leg before it slammed it down and the ground cracked once more but this time the entire ground beneath rumbled before cracks started spreading and both figures started falling down with multipple Sequoia trees coling down.

Whoosh

ROOOOAAARRR!!!

Whoosh

Apollyon: "A sinkhole!? Just when things couldn't get any better.."

But as both figures fell Apollyon started shooting at the Tyrannax that could only helplessly roar.

ROOOAAAARRR!!!

3 minutes later

Once both figures neared the bottom both of them broke through another layer of earth and both started freefalling into a massive Mayan city without lights except the one they came from.

Whoosh

CRASH!!!

BAM!!!

CRASH!!!

The Black Striped Tyrannax crashed inside a tall mayan pyramid and Apollyon fell down on one of the mayan Pyramids but he was fine due to his electric form.

Apollyon POV

Apollyon: "Ugh…what is this place…"

Looking around I couldn't help but feel my mouth open in awe and start taking pictures of it all on my mind as this is the first ever discovery of an underground city by my lonesome.

I looked at the pyramid that had an altar with 4 Obsidian Pillars in the top containing green floating objects.

I cautiously approached it and as I took a closer look at the green light I saw what appears to be a strange amalgamation of blacksmithing, Crocodile skin, and alchemy.

As I stared at the crocodile skin robe, a crocodile head gauntlet, and a pair of green steel grasshopper shoes I didn't expect a drop of my blood to be sucked onto the altar and all three objects float towards my body.

I saw the large crocodile skin robe float towards ke slowly and I cautiously put it on and felt it slowly change to fit my smaller size.

Next I saw the gauntlet float towards me and I raised my left hand as the large gauntlet started to change its size to fit me and I felt invigorated with strength like the spell used by the Starpriest.

Lastly were the pair of boots which I put on and they had managed to fit me perfectly and I heard a loud wailing making turn back to where the Black Striped Tyrannax had fallen.

Apollyon: "Don't tell me theres some monstrous beasts!"

I made sure to reload both my revolvers and as I was about to turn my body into electricity to teleport I looked down at my boots that were lit in fire.

I lowered my body before I jumped and as if fate would believe it, I jumped high in the air and I began falling down onto the top of the pyramid the Tyrannax fell down into.

I looked down the edge and saw the Tyrranax stuck with a Sequoia tree stuck inside its body and the Tyrranax kept wriggling on the stone floor as it whined in pain.

I jumped down and surprised the Tyrannax that immediately started wriggling to try and get up but It couldn't stand up.

Apollyon: "Hey stop moving around before you die!"

I stared at the Sequoia tree stuck inside its body before I jumped up on its rather massive body making me actually take time look at the Tyrannax fully.

Apollyon: "Jesus christ! You must be at least 75-85 feet long!"

ROOAAARR!!!

Apollyon: "Yeah yeah just wait you big overgrown Lisard!"

I raised Shadow of death before I started to change it into the Tesla cutter and using my power I pulled the trigger and a ray of tesla energy shot out the device and started charring the tree trunk slowly.

Apollyon: "Well this will take a while big guy!"

8 minutes later

Once I saw the tesla beam go through the other side I used my crocodile gauntlet as the claws tore into the wood and slowly I moved the chopped Sequoia trunk out of it's body.

3 minutes later

Whoosh

THUD!!!

Once I threw the large log I swiped my head full of sweat and felt my arm become tired. It wasn't long before I felt the Black Striped Tyrannax stir.

I jumped off its body and saw it slowly get up with blood pooling down its body before it fell down as it's body could no longer sustain the amount of bloodloss from all my armor piercing bullets.

Apollyon: "Guess this is as far as you're going huh…?"

I cautiously walked towards the front of its head and saw its eyes stare at me with rage but I could see it was thankful for helping it.

I slowly placed my hand on its massive snout and saw it open its large jaws to chomp me down but stopped as it didn't see me move.

Apollyon: "You're just like the Cold ones, an overgrown violent dog…"

As it lowered its jaws I started patting its nose gently and as I heard its breath turn shorter and shorter I sighed sadly before whispering a few words.

Apollyon: "You fought valiantly in our skirmish and made me know that even with my weapons, beasts exist out there capable of holding on"

Apollyon: "So take a deep slumber as tou have deserved it… Great Black Striped Tyrannax…"

Seeing it close it eyes as it took its last breath I left the ruins after I gave the Tyrannax a prayer.

It wasn't long before the same toad headed being appeared again and nodded at me with a smile.

???: "So it appears you have made it through the challenge warmblood?"

Apollyon: "Yes, but I believe I should head off now…"

???: "The as promised I shall reward you"

I didn't listen to its words as I sighed sadly and felt my body return to the outside world where it appeared…that nothing had changed at all it was still the same sun and gazes in the forest.

ROOOOAAAARRR!!!

While I was thinking of continuing with my Cold One mount I heard a familiar yet incredible roar that surprised me greatly.

As I turned around I couldn't help but be greatful yet slightly worried as I heard the loud stomps get closer to my location.
