Chapter 18: The Lightning Goddess vs The Lightning Demon
The movement was almost imperceptible, a dance of pure speed and refined technique.
In the next moment, the two had already dematerialized, vanishing into a blur of light, leaving behind only the echo of the wind sliced by their swiftness.
Zoom!
They moved like ghosts, their presences nearly invisible even to the most trained eyes. Their speed was such that, in an instant, Jin was already beside Yoruichi, their bodies touching in a game of proximity.
However, Yoruichi wasn't so easy to catch. Her combat prowess extended not only to physical strength but also to absolute control over her body, allowing her to evade and move with fluidity. She tried to grab Jin with an agile motion, her claws seeming almost like an extension of her very nature.
But to Yoruichi's surprise, Jin was fast enough to escape. With a swift and fluid movement, he slipped away, leaving the captain with a hint of frustration at failing to catch her target.
Jin, without losing momentum, distanced himself again, using his enhanced speed to reposition while watching Yoruichi with an amused smile. But she wasn't going to let him escape so easily.
Yoruichi launched herself at him again.
The battlefield was a space where her movement skills existed in perfect symbiosis, where every step, every motion, was calculated down to the millimeter. She tried again, then once more, and again... Each attempt seemed closer to success, but Jin always managed to escape at the last moment, a teasing smile on his face.
She didn't give up, and after five attempts, she finally managed to catch Jin, grabbing him in the middle of an evasive maneuver. The feeling of achievement was immensely gratifying for Yoruichi, but her face bore an amused and challenging expression.
"Finally got you..." she murmured with a mischievous smile.
But Jin was not defeated. His smile turned into a look of satisfaction and excitement.
'Great!' Jin thought to himself, feeling the adrenaline of the chase. However, his next thought came immediately, filled with determination.
"Feisty kitten..." Jin murmured, looking into Yoruichi's golden eyes with a defiant expression.
With a swift movement, he tried to catch her back, but Yoruichi was a slippery cat, and with an agile motion, she completely escaped his grasp.
Yoruichi, wearing her victorious smile, thought that the distance between her and Jin was something insurmountable. She was confident that as long as she maintained that space, he would never be able to catch her.
Zoom!
But the sound of Jin's abrupt movement, so fast it seemed like a tear in the fabric of the air, shattered Yoruichi's confidence in an instant. He appeared before her with the same relentless speed, without any warning or preparation.
'What?!' Yoruichi thought, shock taking over her mind, making her body nearly freeze in place. She had no time to react properly, her reflexes being pushed to their limits. The mere sight of Jin appearing before her, so unexpectedly fast, was enough to put her on high alert, but the difference between theory and practice was vast.
She leaned back, moving with the agility of a cat, her flexibility helping her evade Jin's grasp. Her body curved elegantly, taking full advantage of every inch of her physical prowess, but Jin didn't stop there. He adapted almost supernaturally, his hands increasing in speed, reaching for her even as she moved to escape.
For a moment, his hands nearly caught her, his fingers brushing against her skin before Yoruichi, with one last desperate dodge, slipped away by mere millimeters. She barely escaped—perhaps by a bit more than a millimeter, perhaps by just a fraction of a second.
'This was harder than I thought,' Yoruichi thought, feeling a surge of adrenaline. She realized that Jin wasn't just fast—he was starting to challenge her own abilities in a way that was unsettling.
Her breathing was quick, not from lack of control, but from the thrill of the moment. Yoruichi smiled, a smile now filled with renewed respect for Jin. She knew he wasn't someone easy to defeat, and that made the competition even more exciting.
'This boy... has potential.'
She pulled back even further, keeping her eyes locked on him, now a bit more alert and cautious, uncertain if she would be able to escape so easily next time.
The moment they exited the Speed Dimension, Jin and Yoruichi locked eyes with a palpable intensity. Jin's smile was light but clearly excited, reflecting the thrill of their clash. Yoruichi, on the other hand, couldn't hide the nervousness that surfaced—her eyes carefully watching the man before her, fully aware that he was becoming more unpredictable with every move.
The tension in the air was thick—a mental battle they were both about to engage in. And as if it were a matter of honor, they once again launched themselves into the Speed Dimension, both vanishing instantly, as if they had never been there.
Shunpo.
With an incredibly fast movement, Jin dashed toward Yoruichi. The environment around them seemed to fade as his speed distorted the perception of time and space. The force of his steps in Shunpo vibrated through the air as if the very world was being challenged. Jin was focused—the speed he had acquired was no longer a surprise to him, but to Yoruichi, he appeared even more unexpected and audacious.
On the sixth attempt, Jin finally reached Yoruichi. He advanced with surgical precision, lightly touching the side of her leg. The sensation of his finger brushing against the tight area of her uniform was not lost on him, and in that moment, he knew he had won the battle, even if in an almost stealthy manner. But he didn't stop there.
Feeling the touch of his own success, he quickly retreated, maintaining distance immediately after contact, not allowing her a chance to retaliate. His mind was so focused on the movement and the touch that, for a moment, he questioned whether the thrill of the confrontation had surpassed the real objective of the match.
Yoruichi, on the other hand, paused for a moment. The touch was so precise and unexpected that she remained silent, a hint of surprise visible in her golden eyes. Even though she had defended against so many attempts, this was the first time she had been touched with such precision. The nervousness and confidence she had maintained until then wavered momentarily.
She quickly composed herself, taking a deep breath and smiling again, though her smile was now mixed with respect and a touch of adrenaline.
"You really surprised me, Jin," she said, her voice low with a hint of admiration in her tone.
Jin smiled, maintaining his relaxed and even slightly defiant posture. "I'm having fun too, but... it was a fair victory, wasn't it?"
Yoruichi let out a light, vibrant laugh, raising her arms as if surrendering, but the expression in her golden eyes showed that she wasn't really giving up. She approached Jin with the elegance that only she possessed, her movement smooth and graceful—a combination of charm and power.
Soi-Fon, still hidden at a distance, watched everything with a mix of surprise and confusion. Her eyes were wide as she processed what was happening before her. She knew how proud Yoruichi was, and the way she yielded to Jin—someone who wasn't in her power category—was something Soi-Fon hadn't expected. She tried to understand what was happening, but her heart tightened, her loyalty to her captain and respect for her leaving her somewhat bewildered.
"Your training has really improved, Jin," Yoruichi said, her voice slightly deeper, more appreciative. "I've noticed that your steps are much more coordinated, and you barely leave the ground—only when it's for a single burst of speed. Very interesting." The captain spoke with the confidence of someone who recognized her opponent's growth but also with the intrinsic curiosity that made her enjoy challenges like this even more.
Jin couldn't help but smile, the pride of having reached a higher level of control over his abilities visible in his expression. "I put in quite a lot of effort, of course," he said with a light laugh.
When Yoruichi suddenly moved forward to touch him, attempting to catch him off guard, Jin, as a natural reflex, quickly dodged.
"Great, you didn't let your guard down," Yoruichi commented with an amused laugh, trying to touch Jin multiple times with graceful movements, like a feline attempting to capture its prey. But Jin, always alert, skillfully avoided her touches, each of his movements flowing with such refined agility that it almost seemed as if he were anticipating every attempt the captain made.
"I would never lower my guard against you," Jin replied in a calm voice, his smile widening, confidence evident in every word. He wasn't just dodging Yoruichi's attempts; he was enjoying the game. Their exchange wasn't just physical but a dance of strategy and quick reflexes.
And then, just as Yoruichi tried again, Jin took it a step further. He firmly but gently caught Yoruichi's arms with impressive dexterity and, with a fluid motion, lowered them while pulling her even closer to his body.
The proximity between them was almost tangible now. The air around them felt heavier, charged with an electric tension. Yoruichi, usually so self-sufficient, was now pressed against Jin's body, their faces so close that their breaths intertwined.
Yoruichi gazed into Jin's silver eyes, her smile soft yet carrying a hint of amusement and challenge, as if she were stepping into a new level of the game they were both playing.
"Now you're really starting to surprise me, Jin," she whispered, a touch of seduction in her voice, though the sense of competition between them was still alive. Yet, she didn't resist the closeness. There was something fascinating and intriguing about the man before her, and she loved the feeling of being challenged.
Yoruichi's body was pressed against Jin's, the contrast in their sizes becoming even more evident. She was small compared to him, and it made her feel something strange… but at the same time, it was comforting. The warmth of his body, the firmness of the muscles enveloping her, the subtle fragrance she inhaled with each breath.
It was a new feeling.
When she confessed her feelings, Jin's eyes widened in surprise. It wasn't just because of what she said, but because of the weight those words carried. Yoruichi Shihōin, the Thunder Goddess, the heiress of one of the most powerful noble clans in the Soul Society, was confessing something so intimate and personal to him.
He remained silent, listening to every word she spoke.
She vented about her life, about how her family wanted to push her toward suitors she had no interest in. They were all arrogant men who didn't see who she truly was—only the name and prestige she carried. She had never felt anything real for anyone.
"I... I really wish I could feel something for a man without it being contempt," Yoruichi continued, her voice lowering as if she were finally letting out something she had kept inside for years. "I've met many throughout my life, but I could never find someone who truly interested me. I only made one friend... Kisuke Urahara."
She was about to continue, but Jin didn't let her.
In an instant, he lifted her effortlessly, pulling her into a firm embrace. Instinctively, Yoruichi wrapped her legs around him, her hands gripping his broad shoulders. The movement was so sudden that her heart raced, and her face flushed as Jin's silver eyes locked onto hers.
"Stop talking about other men," Jin said with a serious expression, his voice deep and intense. "Since you like me… just think of me."
His gaze was overwhelming, piercing. He wasn't joking.
Yoruichi blushed even more, her chest rising and falling noticeably as she absorbed his words. She had never been the type to let herself be swept away, to be dominated—but at that moment… she felt strangely vulnerable.
Her arms, once resting on Jin's shoulders, moved up to his neck, her fingers lightly entwining in his dark hair. The silence between them was laden with something indescribable, something that made Yoruichi lightly bite her lower lip.
Yoruichi blinked a few times, surprised by Jin's boldness. The strong, solid warmth of his body enveloped hers, and the position she was in—her legs instinctively wrapped around his waist—only made everything more intense. Her heart gave a slight jump, but her smile soon returned, as mischievous as ever.
"Well, well... someone's feeling jealous?" she teased, her voice slightly drawn out, filled with a playful tone. But even as she spoke, she felt the way Jin held her—firm, yet careful. There was no hesitation in the way he kept her there, as if she were something he wouldn't let slip away.
Jin gazed at her with those determined silver eyes, and Yoruichi realized he truly wasn't joking. His words hadn't been casual. He wanted her for himself.
"I'm serious, Yoruichi," Jin said firmly, tightening his embrace slightly. "If you like me, then don't waste time thinking about others."
Yoruichi arched an eyebrow, amusement mixing with a hint of fascination. It wasn't every day that someone spoke to her like that. Most men melted before her, falling at her feet, or tried—and failed—to prove their superiority. But Jin...? He wasn't trying to prove anything. He simply took what he wanted.
The princess of the Shihōin Clan let out a soft laugh, sliding her fingers through Jin's dark hair as she leaned in slightly. "You know, Jin... your boldness is making me more and more interested..." Her lips were now close to his ear, her warm breath brushing against Jin's skin.
Jin's gaze remained fixed on hers, and he didn't back down.
"Great," he replied simply. "Because I've already decided. You're mine now."
Yoruichi felt a shiver run down her spine. That man truly feared nothing.

Hello, here I am again, in one of my stories I mentioned my desire to write an UnOrdinary story, the story would have reincarnation and a system, but I don't think you'd like the System, right? So just reincarnation.
So I decided to save the system for another future occasion, I still want to write the UnOrdinary story, but it will be the hard way, actually complicated and long, but I think you might like it.
With the reformulated idea and without the system, the way the protagonist will use his main power will change, also because I want to make the most of UnOrdinary's Aura, since it has been explored to a certain extent, and I believe that the Aura can be explored further in my story.
UnOrdinary will probably come out on Saturday.
I'm going to present the idea to you so that I can't say that I didn't present the idea to everyone.
The idea is as follows: I will make the MC reincarnated as John Doe, the protagonist of Unordinary, with a Card system. The system works like this:
Ability Cards: These are cards that grant a simulation of an opponent who has the ability recorded on the card. There are variable rarities between the cards that indicate their rarity and complexity, and of course also power.
Common - The most common abilities and are generally easy to use. These cards are white. Some examples are Illumination and Impact.
Rare - Skills that are not so common, usually do not present much complexity in use, these cards are colored blue. Some examples are Lie Detection and Clairvoyance.
Epic - Rarer skills, require a greater understanding of the skill and have a medium level of complexity, these cards are colored purple, some examples are Remi's Lightning and King or the Hunter.
Legendary - Very uncommon skills, have a high complexity and require advanced study to use efficiently, these cards are colored gold. Some examples are Telekinesis and Minefield.
Extraordinary - Skills that are completely out of the ordinary, are complex to the point of instead of just training or studying, it is necessary to be creative with the skill in this category, as there may be hidden capabilities within the skills, in some cases the skill can evolve to a higher level, the God Rank or GOD, these cards are colored black. Some examples are Aura Manipulation and its evolved version, Master Channel; Time Manipulation also falls into this category.
Upgrade Cards: These are cards that improve skills or a specific attribute. There are types of upgrade cards, which are:
Rank Upgrade: Increases the skill's rank; if the skill exceeds its current rarity, the skill can transform into an evolved version of itself. It can only be used if the skill is at the recommended level for evolution.
Aura Upgrade: Increases the aura produced by the body, thus increasing the strength of the skill, and consequently its level as well.
Body Upgrade (Basic): Increases the body's physical capacity; as it is at the basic level, it only increases by +10 in all Physical Stats.
Body Upgrade (Intermediate): Increases the body's physical capacity; at an intermediate level, it increases by +50 all Physical Stats.
Body Upgrade (High): Increases the body's physical capacity; at a high level, it increases by +100 all Physical Stats.
Body Upgrade (Extreme): Increases the physical capacity of the body, at its highest level, Extreme, it increases all physical stats by +200.
Item Cards: Cards used to summon specific items that, if used with the right skills, can turn the user into an invincible fighting machine. There is no rarity in these cards, only types for each weapon type.
