Before long, under the watchful eyes of Sengoku, Garp, and Prodi, Kaido made his decision. Without hesitation, he took a bite of the Paramecia-class Paw-Paw Fruit.

Almost immediately, his hands began to change, developing strange, paw-like pads.

"Whoosh..." As if guided by instinct, Kaido used his palms to repel the air, vanishing from where he stood.

He reappeared behind Sengoku and the others.

"Whoosh... whoosh..."

In an instant, his figure began flickering all around, moving so fast it was impossible to follow with the naked eye. One moment, he was to the east; the next, to the west. Then he appeared left, then right, leaving everyone dazzled.

"Phew, phew, so this is the power of the Paw-Paw Fruit?" Garp said, clearly impressed.

"Incredible..." Vice Admiral Prodi said enviously. "He's so fast I can't even react!"

Finally, Kaido appeared back in front of Garp and the others, laughing, "Haha! What an amazing ability!"

He turned to Garp, raising his hands with their new paw-like pads, and said with a smug grin, "Garp, throw a punch at me. Let's see what happens!"

"You sure about that?" Garp asked, his face full of mischief, as he clenched his fist.

"Whoosh!"

In the blink of an eye, Garp's imposing figure was right in front of Kaido. Before Kaido could react, Garp's fist smashed into him.

BAM!

Caught off guard, Kaido didn't even have time to block. His face contorted as he was sent flying like a cannonball.

"Hehe, Garp..."

Sengoku glanced at Garp, his expression filled with exasperation. It was obvious that Garp had done that on purpose. He knew Kaido had meant for him to aim at the paw, but Garp had taken the opportunity to knock him down a peg.

Kaido, after all, was an arrogant and overconfident brat. He often rubbed people the wrong way, and Garp had probably been waiting for the chance to teach him a lesson.

"Garp... you did that on purpose, didn't you?!"

After a while, a disheveled Kaido emerged from the rubble, glaring at Garp with gritted teeth. "I told you to hit the paw!"

"Ah, my bad. Want me to try again?" Garp said casually, picking his nose and flicking the debris aside.

"You know what? Forget it! Prodi, you do it!" Kaido shuddered and quickly declined.

Raising his hands, he showed the paw pads clearly and said, "Shoot a cannonball at me!"

"Alright!" Prodi said with a sly grin, lifting his rocket launcher.

Without hesitation, he fired a Haki-imbued projectile straight at Kaido.

"Zoom—"

The rocket barreled toward Kaido, but the moment it made contact with his paw pad, it was effortlessly deflected.

Sizzle

The projectile flew off at an angle and slammed into a nearby derelict battleship that Garp used for training.

BOOM!

Flames erupted, and the ship exploded into countless pieces.

"My training ship..." Garp muttered, his eye twitching. He glared at Kaido. "You little punk, that was on purpose, wasn't it?"

Scratching his head, Kaido feigned innocence. "Sorry about that. Just got the ability; still figuring it out! Besides, I'd never do something like that on purpose. You've got no proof, so don't go around slandering an innocent guy like me!"

"You little brat! You're getting cocky just because of a mere Paw-Paw Fruit!" Garp snarled, his face dark with irritation. He raised his fist, clearly ready to give Kaido another beating.

But Sengoku stepped in, holding Garp back.

"Hahaha!" Kaido laughed triumphantly. Feeling bold, he pressed his right hand down against the ground.

BOOM!

A shockwave erupted, creating a massive, paw-shaped crater in the earth that extended so deep it seemed bottomless.

"This really is an incredible power!" Kaido said, grinning with excitement. "Sengoku, make sure to thank Fleet Admiral William for me!"

Even though it was just a test run, Kaido could already feel how remarkable the Paw-Paw Fruit's abilities were. He couldn't believe his luck at receiving such a top-tier power from the World Government.

"What?"

Meanwhile.

In Totto Land, atop Atlantis.

Hearing Sally's report, El was visibly surprised. "The World Government gave that Paw-Paw Fruit to Kaido, that kid?"

He had been strategizing on how to obtain that Paramecia-class Paw-Paw Fruit from the World Government. Never in his wildest thoughts did he imagine Kaido would end up with it.

"Yes... I'm sorry, El-sama," Sally replied, a hint of frustration in her tone. "By the time we received the news, it was too late... If our sources are correct, Kaido has probably already eaten the fruit."

She knew all too well that since discovering the World Government had acquired the Paw-Paw Fruit, El had set his sights on it. But unexpectedly, Kaido managed to "snatch" it right under their noses.

"Forget it. I was planning to get that fruit and save it for Arcas... but if Kaido has it now, so be it," El said with a dismissive wave.

Despite the setback, he didn't seem overly disappointed.

The Paw-Paw Fruit had been on his radar for some time, and he had been planning to seize it and gift it to his eleventh son, young Arcas, who inherited the combined bloodlines of the Mink Tribe, Giant Tribe, and Lunarian lineage.

However, the World Government had decided to give it to Kaido, whom they viewed as a promising "naval star."

Kaido had missed out on acquiring the Fish-Fish Fruit, Mythical Zoan Model: Azure Dragon, but lucked into the Paramecia-class Paw-Paw Fruit instead.

In contrast, El had acquired the Azure Dragon Fruit and given it to his eighth son, Ares, but failed to secure the Paw-Paw Fruit for himself.

Was this a case of being unable to have both the fish and the paw?

That said, Kaido was already "one of his own." If the Paw-Paw Fruit's ability was ever needed, El could always extract Kaido's lineage factor to create an artificial Devil Fruit.

As for Arcas, the child who had inherited the Panda Mink Tribe's bloodline and talent rivaling that of El's eldest son, Thor, El would simply prepare another exceptional ability for him.

After all, the world wasn't short of top-tier Devil Fruits.

The mere thought of the Five Elders' reactions in that scenario brought a sly smile to El's face. Their expressions would surely be priceless.
