For Tei, a seasoned veteran of the battlefield, and Konan, who had experienced rigorous training, maintaining their composure and searching for openings was second nature.

They continued to lock eyes coldly, but as the saying goes, old habits die hard.

Konan's youthful vigor couldn't completely suppress the wily Tei's presence.

Sweat dripped from their foreheads, causing Yahiko and Nagato to nervously wipe their brows.

"We can't wait any longer. If we keep waiting, Konan's momentum will completely decline," Konan thought to herself.

Regrettably, Konan's fierce gaze couldn't overpower Tei's composure.

Konan knew that a single paper shuriken wouldn't harm Tei. So, immediately after the attack, she swiftly formed hand seals again.

As expected, in the next second, Tei suddenly appeared beside Konan.

"Explosive Release: Earthquake Fist!"

Tei's iron fist instantly struck Konan's abdomen.

An explosion resounded, and Konan, who had been struck by Tei, seemingly exploded.

However, Tei's expression remained stern. Instead of delight, he was closely observing his surroundings.

"Shikigami no Mai: Paper Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu!"

In an instant, countless shurikens flew toward Tei on the ground.

This jutsu, a transformation of the Third Hokage's shuriken shadow clone technique, overwhelmed Tei on the ground. He had no escape.

Upon witnessing Konan's formidable jutsu, Tei didn't dare to underestimate it. His hands swiftly formed seals.

"Earth Release: Earth Flow Wall!"

As Tei pressed his hands onto the ground, a massive wall of earth surged up, shielding his entire body.

The paper shurikens flying through the air all landed on the earth wall, dealing no harm to Tei.

Konan, however, remained composed. Her hands continued to form seals.

"Dance of Paper Forms: Paper Spear."

In an instant, a paper spear shot forth.

Meanwhile, Tei, who was hiding beneath the earth wall, had no visibility of the incoming paper spear.

Due to Tei's misjudgment, this high-powered jutsu, which Konan hadn't yet mastered, failed to hit its target directly, all thanks to Tei's incorrect choice of defense.

The immensely penetrating spear almost pierced through the earth wall in an instant.

Its colossal power remained undiminished, but fortunately, Tei had some awareness due to the earth wall obstructing the attack.

He dodged with all his might, narrowly evading a fatal strike.

However, even so, the paper spear left a long gash on his arm, with blood continuously trickling down.

Tei endured the intense pain, gritting his teeth as he gazed at Konan in the sky.

At this moment, he truly felt exceptionally frustrated. The majority of his abilities were centered around the Explosive Release. 

In his everyday encounters, a single punch from him would make his opponents explode instantly, eliminating the need for him to learn other ninjutsu.

But now, his Explosive Release posed no threat whatsoever to Konan in the sky. This directly reduced his effectiveness from a solid ten to a mere four.

He could only rely on his relatively less proficient Earth Release and Lightning Release to attack Konan, and even then, the limitations had significantly increased.

Of course, this was a common issue for most kekkei genkai users. While their powerful bloodline abilities allowed them to dominate, once countered by an opponent, their own threat level diminished greatly.
