c62 – Solve the Three Elite Levels First

Under Chen Xiaoxiao's command, Solgaleo vanished from the spot with a burst of radiant energy, taking her with him in an instant.

BOOM!!

With their target suddenly gone, Weavile, Bisharp (referred to here as "Commander of Slashing"), and Houndoom misfired all at once. Their attacks struck the earth with devastating force, sending up clouds of dust and a violent shockwave that rattled the battlefield.

Simultaneously, Chen Xiaoxiao and Solgaleo reappeared right beside one of the enemy trainers.

The foreign trainer clearly the one who had just ordered a direct attack on her turned his head, his expression shifting from smug confidence to absolute terror as he locked eyes with Chen Xiaoxiao, now less than two meters away.

Her gaze sharpened.

Then—

Her irises gleamed a brilliant sapphire blue, radiating raw mental power.

> "If you refuse to play by the rules… then don't blame me for ignoring them."

She didn't speak aloud. She thought it with force.

A powerful Confusion-based psychic wave burst forth from her gaze, bypassing the need for her Pokémon entirely. It was her own Psychic power, amplified by waveguide training and field experience.

"AHHHH!!"

The trainer later revealed to be named Mita screamed in agony, clutching his head as the mental blast shattered his concentration. He dropped to his knees eyes rolled back and collapsed unconscious.

The turn of events happened so fast that no one else could react in time.

"Mita-kun!!" ×2

Two voices cried out in unison from across the battlefield.

That was all Chen Xiaoxiao needed to learn his name.

But it was already irrelevant.

"It's fine. He's out cold before 5:30. Convenient."

She thought dryly.

Her eyes flicked to the other two Japanese trainers—Honda and Yamada. Their expressions twisted in caution and alarm.

"Should I go after them next?"

Chen Xiaoxiao debated internally.

But before she could act

"Glalie, return to me!" Honda-kun

"Cryogonal, fall back and protect me!" Yamada-kun

Each trainer immediately recalled one of their Pokémon, bringing them close to act as defensive shields in case Chen Xiaoxiao turned her powers on them too.

"Tch. That was fast. No clean opening now…"

She clicked her tongue mentally in frustration.

Meanwhile, on the battlefield

The two Elite-level Pokémon that had been attacking Latios and Latias paused, sensing their masters' panic.

Latios and Latias, seizing the moment, activated Recover in sync. A gentle glow surrounded their battered bodies, and many of their surface wounds vanished.

They turned toward Chen Xiaoxiao, eyes shimmering with gratitude.

Without a word, they both unleashed their counterattack

Twin beams of violet and blue energy—Dragon Pulse!

"Damn it!!" ×2

Yamada and Honda shouted in panic.

They ordered their remaining Pokémon to intercept the pulses while redirecting others to double down on the siblings.

Meanwhile

The three Pokémon that had been left attacking thin air Weavile, Bisharp, and Houndoom turned around upon hearing their trainer scream.

Seeing Mita unconscious, a red haze filled their eyes.

The bonds they shared with their trainer however twisted manifested now as rage.

They went berserk.

All three simultaneously turned their wrath toward Chen Xiaoxiao!

Chen Xiaoxiao quickly analyzed their data, compiled by her Pokédex system.

"In that case… remove them from the equation first!"

Her eyes gleamed with decision.

"Solgaleo—Teleport again!"

She issued the command mentally.

Solgaleo vanished reappearing behind Weavile, Bisharp, and Houndoom as they lunged. Their attacks whiffed again biting only the air.

In that instant, Chen Xiaoxiao tossed two Poké Balls into the air.

"Metagross! Togekiss! Battle formation go!"

The capsules burst open in midair.

A steel-armored Metagross thundered into the battlefield, four legs humming with electric force.

A graceful Togekiss soared beside him, wings glowing as she took position.

"Metagross Magnet Rise! Then Arm Hammer on Weavile!"

"Togekiss—Flamethrower! Target Bisharp!"

Bzzt!

An electromagnetic field surged around Metagross, lifting the heavy steel giant off the ground nullifying any Earthquake or Ground-type counter.

With a guttural whir, one massive steel limb swung down toward Weavile like a freight train.

Simultaneously

Togekiss opened her beak launching a concentrated stream of white-hot fire!

The flames boosted by Sunny Day, still active from Solgaleo's earlier move intensified into an inferno.

The target: Bisharp, whose Steel typing left it wide open to Fire attacks.

"DAMN IT! Why are you so strong?!"

Honda roared, struggling to adapt to the new wave of offense.

"Yamada-kun, finish Latios and Latias quickly before we lose everything!!"

The tide of battle was shifting fast.

And Chen Xiaoxiao had just begun to retaliate.

After observing Chen Xiaoxiao's developing advantage, Yamada-kun turned toward Honda-kun with urgency.

"We need to act now!"

Yamada-kun clearly understood one thing: if they failed to overwhelm Latias and Latios quickly, Chen Xiaoxiao would finish off her opponents and come crashing down on them like a hammer.

"If we delay any longer… we'll be the ones surrounded."

As Metagross and Togekiss executed their assigned moves, Chen Xiaoxiao pulled out another Poké Ball from her belt without hesitation.

With a gentle toss, she summoned a small, feline-shaped Pokémon who gracefully landed in her arms.

"Come out, Meowstic! Use Helping Hand on Solgaleo!"

A psychic shimmer radiated from Meowstic's paws as she channeled her supportive energy into Solgaleo, who stood below ready to unleash havoc.

(Helping Hand: Boosts the power of the target's next move by 50%. Often used in doubles or team battles to support a lead attacker.)

Now airborne thanks to Solgaleo's support, both Chen Xiaoxiao and Meowstic rode atop the radiant lion.

"You don't enter a team fight without AOE (Area of Effect)."

She smirked inwardly.

"Solgaleo use Earthquake!"

With a sharp telepathic command, the legendary Pokémon let out a roar and slammed its front limbs into the ground beneath.

RUMBLE!!!

A violent seismic wave erupted outward, rippling across hundreds of meters in all directions. The ground cracked and split, sending shockwaves through the battlefield like an apocalyptic pulse.

"Glalie, Protect!" Honda-kun

"Cryogonal, Protect!" Yamada-kun

The two Japanese trainers had been watching Chen Xiaoxiao with hawk-like caution. The moment they saw the signature signs of Earthquake, they instinctively shielded their defensive Ice-types with Protect, forming glowing green barriers around them.

As for the unconscious Mita-kun?

He had long since been dragged out of the active combat zone by his companions, using the moment when Chen Xiaoxiao had Teleported to reposition him safely out of harm's way.

"Damn it! Honda-kun the mission is falling apart! We can't stall any longer! We'll only be able to take one!"

Yamada's voice was sharp as he spoke in a low, urgent whisper.

"Target Latias! Focus everything we have!"

"Got it!" Honda-kun replied grimly. He understood: their only hope now lay in eliminating one of the Eon twins and retreating before Chen Xiaoxiao could finish them off too.

He was also silently grateful that their own battlefield was well-distanced from Solgaleo's immediate Earthquake radius. Had they been any closer, their side might have suffered catastrophic casualties.

Back at the epicenter of the quake

Weavile and Bisharp (Slashing Commander) were already critically wounded from the previous assaults by Metagross and Togekiss.

The impact of Solgaleo's Earthquake, boosted further by Helping Hand, was the finishing blow.

Both Pokémon roared in pain and collapsed, eyes swirling as they lost consciousness and were immediately knocked out.

Only Houndoom, who being part Fire-type resisted the Earthquake better than the others, still stood. But even he was clearly shaken, panting, growling, his legs unsteady.

"Time to clean up," Chen Xiaoxiao thought coldly.

"Togekiss, Air Slash! Metagross, finish it with Arm Hammer! Target the Houndoom!"

Togekiss's wings spread wide as a sharp crescent blade of air formed before her. She launched it toward the weakened Houndoom with precision.

At the same time, Metagross charged again, its metallic arms rotating as it prepared to deliver another devastating Arm Hammer.

But Houndoom, desperate to defend himself, opened his jaws wide and countered with a powerful Flamethrower, firing a stream of intense fire directly at the oncoming Air Slash.

BOOM!

The two attacks collided in midair, resulting in an explosive detonation that kicked up flames and dust.

But Houndoom had no time to recover.

From the dust, Metagross surged forward like an iron meteor.

WHAM!

The massive robotic limb struck Houndoom from behind with a crushing blow. The Fire/Dark-type canine howled in agony, his body flung across the field like a ragdoll.

He hit the ground hard eyes rolling, legs twitching and finally fainted, utterly defeated.

All three of Mita-kun's Pokémon were now down.

Meanwhile, on the opposite end

Just as Chen Xiaoxiao issued her final command to Metagross and Togekiss, her attention was briefly locked on the battle's end.

Yamada-kun noticed it and seized the moment.

He leaned toward Honda-kun and muttered sharply:

"Now! Attack before she looks back!"

And thus, a new counterstrike began.
