The Super Queen Of The Pokemon Era

Chapter 65: CHAPTER 65

Chapter 65: Latias

Enveloped in radiant light, Latias hovered silently. The steady glow had not dimmed for hours, but the moment her eyes fell upon the ice-blue droplet before her a fragment of what once was her body shuddered.

A mournful cry echoed from deep within her.

Visions of the past swirled in her mind memories of Latios, of soaring above Altomare together, of sharing their bond through Sight Sharing. His voice, his warmth. Everything. All now compressed into this glistening teardrop of light.

Tears streamed from Latias's crimson eyes, falling and merging with the luminescent drop. As they met, a shimmer of crystal light bloomed, as though acknowledging her grief.

Latias trembled, violently shaking her head in denial, her wings folding inward as she tried to push away the crushing truth.

Chen Xiaoxiao stood silently.

There was nothing to say that could ease such pain.

A long moment passed before Latias, finally calmer, blinked through her tears and turned to Chen Xiaoxiao.

"(…Thank you.)"

Her telepathic voice echoed faintly, but it carried a quiet strength. With delicate care, she floated forward and gently drew the Soul Dew the form Latios had become into her embrace, nestling it close to her chest.

Though bathed in the beam that Latios had sacrificed himself to create, Latias had remained aware of the outside events through her latent empathic senses. She knew everything.

"Latias," Chen Xiaoxiao said softly, stepping closer. "Latios didn't vanish. He's still here… just in a different form. From now on, he'll always be with you, guarding you. You don't have to grieve alone."

"(I understand… thank you.)"

Latias flew gently into Chen Xiaoxiao's arms, her body still trembling faintly. Though her tears still fell, her expression softened. The warmth she felt in Chen Xiaoxiao's embrace gave her a fragile sense of peace.

Chen Xiaoxiao gently stroked her feathered head, taking note of the faint glow around her abdomen a sign of nesting behavior, indicating Latias was carrying life. Her voice lowered.

"What will you do now? This island's no longer hidden. It's only a matter of time before others come. If you stay here alone, it may not be safe…"

"(I… don't know yet.)"

Latias's head dipped slightly, her red wings drooping. Her confusion and fear bled into her psychic aura.

Chen Xiaoxiao knelt to meet her eye-level. "You can come with me. You'll be safer, and I promise… if someday you want to go, you can. I won't stop you."

Latias considered. She had lost so much… and the sorrow still clung to the air. She had no desire to remain in a place steeped in memory.

"(Okay…)"

Her response was soft, but resolute.

Seeing her nod, Chen Xiaoxiao smiled gently and retrieved an ultra-grade Poké Ball from her belt specially calibrated for high-aura Legendary Pokémon.

"Come on! I'll take you somewhere you'll love!"

Latias tilted her head in curiosity and touched the Poké Ball with her beak. In a flash of red light, her form dissolved into energy and entered the capsule.

Chen Xiaoxiao held the Poké Ball to her chest briefly.

"You all stay and protect the perimeter."

With that, she vanished, teleporting into her private Pokémon habitat space a multidimensional area maintained using advanced technology and Psychic-type Pokémon synergy.

---

Within the serene Pokémon Space, surrounded by lush meadows and glittering freshwater lakes, Latias emerged in a graceful burst of light. She blinked, her golden eyes widening in awe.

She had never seen anything like it.

"This is yours now, if you want it," Chen Xiaoxiao said with a soft grin, watching Latias slowly float forward.

"(Really? This is… incredible!)"

The joy in Latias's voice rang clear. She zipped through the air in loops, rubbing affectionately against Chen Xiaoxiao, then flew off to explore.

"Let me introduce you. This is my Pokémon, Lapras. Lapras, meet Latias!"

Lapras emerged from the water, humming a soft note of welcome.

The two Pokémon greeted each other warmly, and Latias's eyes sparkled when she saw Lapras's shell. With a playful chirp, she glided onto Lapras's back and, in a flicker of pink light, transformed into her anthropomorphic disguise form—a feature unique to Latias in the manga and movie adaptations.

Now in the form of a red-haired human girl, she sat cross-legged on Lapras's shell, giggling as the gentle sea creature glided across the water.

Watching the two bond so easily, Chen Xiaoxiao felt relief wash over her. She had worried Latias wouldn't take to the space but the mythical Pokémon seemed at peace.

Then she opened her Pokédex to log the latest data:

---

"Latias, feel free to explore this space. I need to return and finish some business outside."

"(I understand. I'll wait here.)"

Latias gave a calm nod, her disguise form still perched on Lapras, gazing out over the water.

With a final smile, Chen Xiaoxiao stepped back and exited the Pokémon space.

"The problem with the trainers from the Footbath Kingdom must be resolved immediately."

Chen Xiaoxiao frowned as she glanced at the three unconscious enemy trainers sprawled across the ground. "Based on what Honda muttered while attempting to flee, it's easy to deduce they have remaining allies nearby. What a hassle..."

Her voice trailed off as her thoughts grew heavier. These weren't just rogue trainers they were part of a coordinated, elite-level foreign infiltration team targeting Legendary Pokémon.

She sighed, clearly troubled, then climbed onto Solgaleo's back, placing a steady hand on its radiant mane.

"Solgaleo, teleport me to the opposite coast."

"Leo!" the great Sunne Pokémon roared in affirmation.

In an instant, the scenery warped. The glow of Ultra Wormhole-based teleportation, unique to Solgaleo's natural abilities as a Legendary Psychic/Steel-type, swallowed them both.

They reappeared seconds later on the southern coast of Baodao (Treasure Island) a windswept shoreline cloaked in moonlight.

Chen Xiaoxiao pulled out her Rotom-enhanced Pokédex, the interface flickering. It read: 01:03 A.M.

She didn't hesitate.

Knowing the urgency of the situation outweighed formalities, she initiated a call.

After ten seconds, the line connected.

"Uncle Leng, apologies for contacting you this late. I hope I'm not disturbing you."

Leng Xin's voice came through calm and alert.

"Xiaoxiao, no need for pleasantries. If you're calling at this hour, I trust it's serious. Report succinctly no delay."

The man's professionalism never wavered.

Whether he had been asleep or not, his readiness hadn't dulled.

Chen Xiaoxiao quickly summarized, her tone crisp:

"At approximately 2200 hours yesterday, during my patrol near Kenting, Solgaleo detected a Pokémon exhibiting Champion-tier Agility likely Tier 6 speed rating or higher. It was accompanied by two Elite-level signatures.

We followed them to an uncharted island at the southern tip of Baodao. Target confirmed: Latios and Latias.

Intervention commenced. Opponents were revealed to be Footbath Kingdom trainers composition: one Champion-level Ice specialist and nine Elite-class subordinates, all with high-grade Ice-type Pokémon."

"Combat resolution complete. Hostiles subdued currently unconscious."

She hesitated for a heartbeat.

"However, Latios perished in the engagement. Latias survived and has bonded with me. From enemy dialogue, I suspect additional allied operatives remain at large."

"End of report."

There was a heavy pause on the other end of the call.

A sharp exhale followed.

"Understood." Leng Xin's voice was steady, though slightly heavier than before.

"Send me your coordinates. I'll dispatch a rapid response team to retrieve and process the Footbath nationals and gather field intelligence. In the meantime, maintain maximum caution. If the remaining enemy forces engage, prioritize your safety above all. That's an order."

Though composed, Leng Xin couldn't hide a hint of astonishment.

A Champion-led infiltration team, neutralized and one of the Eon Duo willingly aligned with Chen Xiaoxiao?

What kind of miracle was this girl carrying?

His thoughts raced to the captured Pokémon.

Champion-tier Ice-types were rare and highly desirable in any national registry.

For an average trainer, managing such Pokémon was impossible.

But to the state, especially through government Breeders and tactical handlers, these Pokémon were strategic assets valuable for gene inheritance programs, battle-ready clone optimization, or elite reward programs.

To outsiders, it might seem cold or utilitarian.

But in military and security strategy, this was standard doctrine.

Combat-grade Pokémon were not merely pets they were resources.

Chen Xiaoxiao's calm voice returned:

"Understood, Uncle Leng. One thing Unnamed Island has an anomalous electromagnetic field. There's no wireless signal, so I had to teleport here to contact you."

"Got it. Send your current geolocation. Begin containment of the captured trainers. I'll have a mobile extraction unit at your site within twenty minutes. Proceed with interim security protocols."

Leng Xin's directives came swiftly, backed by years of field logistics experience.

"Copy. I'll prepare immediately."

Chen Xiaoxiao nodded, cutting the line with practiced efficiency.

She looked out at the moonlit sea for a moment before turning back toward Solgaleo.

This was just the beginning.
