The System Awakens: Rise of the Champion

Chapter 201: The True Liar

"I know why he's here," Lucifer said, seeing his father remain silent.

He decided he should speak up himself.

"Do tell, Demon King?" the Vampire King asked, narrowing his eyes as he sat on the chair.

"Well, Your Highness the Vampire King, to put it simply, he is afraid of you and what your existence would mean to his rule," Lucifer, the King of Biblical Hell, explained.

"Hmm." That's all Damian needed to hear to know exactly what the Heavenly Father wanted with him.

It's simple.

The Heavenly Father had been keeping an eye on Damian ever since the moment he defeated Marquis Andras for the crown of the 63rd ruler of Biblical Hell, becoming a ruler of Hell himself.

He watched him become a high demon.

He watched Damian defeat an army of vampires single-handedly and overwhelmingly, and then go on to become the Human Progenitor.

Up until then, the Heavenly Father only saw him as just another god king level being on the rise, someone he needed to keep an eye on, someone that shouldn't be a threat to him or his status, someone not really concerning in any way.

But it all changed when Damian also became the Progenitor of Vampires.

You see, each godly pantheon in the lower plane has a God King who rules over hundreds or even thousands of higher to low level gods.

Each pantheon also has thousands of demigods, monsters, and other such beings unique to their pantheon, which form a powerful force of their own.

Except for the Biblical Pantheon.

When we say "Biblical Pantheon," we just mean the Biblical Heaven that the Heavenly Father rules over.

But there was a time when even the Biblical Hell was part of the Biblical Pantheon.

When the Heavenly Father cast and banished the fallen angels to Hell, they took over Biblical Hell for themselves, and Lucifer became the King of Hell.

Eventually, Hell became a place that the Heavenly Father no longer had influence over like he used to.

Even then, the Biblical Pantheon remained one of the most powerful forces in the entire lower plane among other godly pantheons filled with hundreds of high level gods like the Norse Pantheon, Egyptian Pantheon, Greek Pantheon, etc.

Even the forces of the upper pantheons do not consider the Biblical Pantheon weak.

This shows just how powerful the Biblical Pantheon is.

But how does that work?

The only god that the Biblical Pantheon possesses is the Heavenly Father, the pantheon's God King himself.

The Heavenly Father is a powerful god, there's no doubt about that, but he's still a lone god in the end.

A creator god, not a battle-type god.

So then how is the pantheon considered so strong?

Well, the answer is simple, it's because of the Angels.

The Angels, the messengers of the Heavenly Father, the holy race, the beings of light, even "pigeons," as they've been jokingly called, are known by many names.

But everyone knows them as Angels.

A unique and powerful race created by the holy God of Beginning, Life, and Creation, the Heavenly Father himself.

A race so powerful, possessing immense growth potential, a nigh-immortal lifespan, the ability to wield the powerful energy known as [Holy Essence], and even the ability to wield a piece of divinity.

Thousands of angels grew strong enough to stand against low to high level gods, while hundreds of angels even grew strong enough to oppose God King level beings.

Under the rule of the Heavenly Father, the Biblical Pantheon became one of the strongest pantheons of the lower plane.

To even entertain the thought of someone taking such a thing from him, the Heavenly Father was scared shitless.

He couldn't handle it...

As mighty and great as he appears, in the end, like other God Kings, he's still looking out for his own status, power, and influence.

"When you displayed your unbelievable capability to transition into the Progenitor of any race as you wish, he started to fear the possibility of what might happen if you were to transition into the Progenitor of the Angelic Race..." Lucifer grinned, looking at the Heavenly Father.

Lucifer continued grinning widely. "He may have created us, he may be the King of the Angel race, he may have made the angel race what it is today, but at the end of the day, he is still not their Progenitor. Just because he created the race doesn't make him the Progenitor...."

"As you already know, being the Progenitor of Humans and Vampires, how significant the existence of a Progenitor is..." Lucifer said.

"No matter how mighty a god you are to a race, once a Progenitor emerges, he becomes the one true absolute god. And nothing can change that, not even the Heavenly Father..."

Lucifer looked at his father as he continued. "That's why he is scared shitless. Because if you were to become the Progenitor of the Angelic Race, you would take away his greatest creation. You would be taking away the thing that grants him a place among the greatest God Kings of the lower pantheon. Isn't that right, Father?"

Angels are just another race like Vampires, Ghouls, and Humans.

They too have a Progenitor, just not one that has yet emerged into existence.

Angels and Fallen Angels are both two species of the same race, similar to how both Elves and Dark Elves are two species of the same race.

Angels and Fallen Angels are species of the Angelic Race.

They weren't originally differentiated based on their appearance or the energy they possessed like they are now.

In fact, the terms 'Angels' and 'Fallen Angels' were something that only came into existence because the Heavenly Father called them that.

He called the ones that obeyed him 'Angels,' and the ones that disobeyed as 'Fallen Angels,' as if ridiculing those who opposed his rule by referring to them as 'fallen' before casting them out to Hell.

In a way, he made those angels hate each other by spreading the belief that Fallen Angels are not true angels, but beings to be feared, hated, and loathed, called "devils" by everyone else.

In truth, there are only Holy Angels and Dark Angels.

The Holy Angels are attuned to the energy of positivity, [Holy Essence], one of the energies that represents the positive side of the universe.

The Dark Angels are attuned to the energy of negativity, [Dark Essence], one of the energies that represents the negative side of the universe.

Not good angels and evil fallen angels, but Holy Angels and Dark Angels.

Unlike the propaganda the Heavenly Father knowingly spread among his followers, it was never true that an angel would "fall from grace" and become a fallen angel. That's not how it happens.

In truth, a Holy Angel can transform into a Dark Angel, and a Dark Angel can also transform into a Holy Angel.

It all depends on the affinity they possess toward positivity or negativity.

The unique thing about the Angelic Race is that they have the ability to switch their affinity toward either positivity or negativity, although it won't happen by their own will.

"He is... wrong... I'm not about any bullshit he says..." the Heavenly Father snorted.

"There's a reason why they call him the Father of Lies."

"Oh, that itself is a lie," Lucifer Morningstar looked at his father with an irritated expression.

"The Demon King never lies... it's you, the self-righteous gods, who does all the lying..."

"Let me ask you this, King of Angels," the Vampire King looked at the Heavenly Father.

"If he is lying, if you are not afraid, then give me...."

The Vampire King's eyes glowed with intense red light.

"Give me the Holy Angel Essence then..."

To become the Progenitor of Angels, Damian has three conditions he needs to fulfill.

One, he needs the unique racial essence of the Dark Angels, which he already possesses.

Two, he needs the unique racial essence of Holy Angels.

And lastly, the will of the universe must allow him to evolve into the Progenitor, which he already knows he possesses.

So the only thing he lacks to become the Progenitor of the Angelic Race is the Holy Angel Essence.

Looking at the Vampire King's face, the Heavenly Father felt like something large was lodged in his throat, rendering him unable to speak.

It's as if the more he looked at his face, the more his face seemed to transform into something distorted, monstrous, and unrecognizable.

It was seriously starting to creep the primal chaos out of him...

Damian grinned.

He could see the Heavenly Father's emotional state like an open book.

The Heavenly Father was afraid of him.

"Hmph. It seems the devil truly doesn't lie, huh?" the Vampire King snorted.

"Told you." Lucifer shrugged his shoulder with a smile, as if he was enjoying the conversation.

The Heavenly Father didn't even speak.

He didn't know how to react or what to say.

It seemed like whatever he might say or do wouldn't change the outcome.

It was pretty clear that Damian wanted to become the Progenitor of Angels, and when he does, the Heavenly Father would lose everything.

In the end, there was only one option: either he willingly lets the Vampire King become the Angelic Progenitor or goes to war against the most talented being the universe has ever seen, the Progenitor of Humans and Vampires.

Damian's expression became more intense the longer the Heavenly Father stayed silent. He knew what kind of thoughts were going through his mind.

It was probably war or peace.

"He should know... war or peace, either way he will lose everything. But by choosing peace, he would at least keep his life intact..." Damian didn't say anything out loud, and he wouldn't.

He didn't care if war broke out between him and the Biblical Pantheon.

He was confident he could wipe the floor with them.

"I... I have... I have something to attend to..." the Heavenly Father muttered, and before he could even finish the sentence, his figure disappeared.

Damian watched him go with an expressionless face.

He kind of expected this from him.

The Heavenly Father, although arrogant like other gods, was not stupid like others like the Greek god Zeus.

He was smart.

He wouldn't make any drastic decisions hastily.

"I see... take however much time you want, King of Angels. But make sure to do it as quickly as possible, for my patience is not endless." Damian shook his head.

He wasn't worried in the slightest.
