Chapter 37: Chapter 35
The next day.
Since we decided to do a couple's role-play, Chinatsu woke me up more aggressively than before this morning.
"Good morning, bro," Chinatsu said after giving me a REALLY gentle slap on my defenseless butt.
"Morning, my ass," I replied, sitting up on my bed with a yawn.
"What's with that attitude? You know I'm not going to let you sleep in our first day as a couple, Masamune-kun."
"Yes, yes. Yawn~ I'm going to jog around a little, alright?"
"Huh? Oh, then let me join you, Onii-chan."
I sighed as I nodded. After changing my clothes, we both headed to the park that five minutes from the apartment.
"Fufu... not bad. This running date isn't such a bad idea, Onii-chan."
"It's my normal routine though?" I said as I warmed up.
"We're definitely on a date! Jeez... why am I the only one fired up about this?" Chinatsu crossed her arms and pouted.

Oh shit. It dropped 2% already? Goddammit, do I need to sugarcoat everything? I sigh. Well, just stay calm and be myself.
"Whatever. Since I'm free today, let's have a real date."
Instantly, Chinatsu looked at me, her eyes shining as if she just heard exactly what she wanted.
"For real?! There's a movie I want to watch today, are you really free?!"
"Yeah, I'm free today. Don't hold back—let's play until the sun sets."
Chinatsu smirked, "Then I won't hold back."

As I kept my pace in sync with Chinatsu's, her current status showed me three things: Happy, uncertain, and amusement park? That's probably accurate. I've been busy working with grandpa lately, even though Chinatsu's spending spring break here. So, she must be doubting if I'm really sincere about today. The amusement park bit? Well, she's still a kid, and it's no surprise she'd prefer that over a movie.
After 45 minutes of running, we returned to the apartment.
"That run really refreshed me! Onii-chan, I'm going to take a shower first, okay?"
"Yeah, go ahead. I was also thinking... how about we try the amusement park?"
As soon as she heard that, Chinatsu darted over to me, her face lighting up with excitement.
"LET'S GO! LET'S GO WITH THAT! KYAAAAA! FORGET ABOUT THE MOVIE!" she exclaimed, practically bouncing with joy.
I chuckled. "But maybe we should wait for grandpa. Where the heck has he gone?"
"Forget about grandpa! I bet he's sleeping on the yacht and won't be back until the afternoon. Let's go, I can't wait any longer!"
I watched her run off, eager for the day ahead, like a kid thrilled about a trip.

Her reaction brought a genuine smile to my face. I've never had a good family before, this wholesome experience are great. Sure, a 1% increase is nice, but even without this system, I'd still want to spend time like this with her.
---
"What does she want me to do?"
I'm waiting for my sister at front of the station. We could have come together, but she insisted I go first and wait for her here.
It's so inefficient.
I've been waiting for 20 minutes now, and still no sign of her!
"...E-excuse me."
I turned my head slightly. Two girls stood nearby, one of them seeming like she wanted something.
"Yes?"
"You're Makabe Masamune-senpai, aren't you?"
Senpai? I didn't recognize her, but she must be one of my juniors from school.
"I am. Can I help you?"
"P-please read this!"
She handed me an envelope. Ah, I see where this is going. I opened it and skimmed through the letter inside.
"Sorry, I have a girlfriend."
Her eyes started trembling as I handed the letter back to her.
"I'm sorry for wasting your time!"
She said that and ran off, her friend chasing after her. After that little episode, I went back to the boredom of waiting for my sister.
"Fufu~ what a spectacular sight."
I turned around to see that cheeky girl finally arriving.
She continued, "How was it? Turning down a girl on our first date?"
My smile twitched. "Oh yeah? And whose fault was that?"
She giggled. "Well, since you did the right thing, I'll give you 9/10 for not cheating. Anyway, I'm sorry to keep you waiting~"
I raised an eyebrow. "Say that again. 'I'm sorry to keep you waiting'? I've been waiting for 30 minutes now, and all I get is a half-ass apology?"
She pouted. "Wrong answer. You should be saying, 'It's fine, I just got here myself.' Anyway..." She twirled around, striking a pose. "Tada! How do I look? Am I cute?"
I hummed, replying in a flat tone, "Funny. And that's definitely my hoodie. You even stole the hat I've been looking for."
"Wrong answer again! You're supposed to say, 'It suits you, you look cute, babe.' Tch..." She pouted more deeply. "At this rate, I'm starting to worry that Onii-chan doesn't care about getting an actual girlfriend."
Why's she worried about something like that? I mean, she really doesn't need to. Girls already drool over my wallet.

Oh shit, it dropped by 5%.
To be fair, my sister is objectively good-looking. She's wearing my custom-made white-and-black hoodie, which looks oversized on her, and the hat is just a regular one, so I don't mind. She's paired it with simple long black pants and white sneakers, keeping her brown hair loose in her usual style. Being born into a wealthy family, Chinatsu knows how to carry herself with a blend of elegance and a casual, boyish charm.
"You look great... and yeah, you can keep it."
"Mwehehe~" She giggled hard. "What do you mean by that, Onii-chan? Of course, your clothes are mine too. Isn't that how siblings work?"

I sighed. "Alright, shall we head out?"
"Okay!"
We went to buy the train tickets, and luckily, the next train was arriving soon. But I couldn't help wondering why she wanted me to go ahead first. Was she trying to surprise me with her outfit or something?
"Hey, why did you tell me to go first?"
"Oh? Well, nothing much... I just wanted to make this feel like an actual date." She chuckled softly. "If we had left Grandpa's house together, it would've felt like our regular sibling thing, right? How is that a date?"
I decided not to comment on that. What for? Didn't she just say my clothes were hers because that's what siblings do? She's only just entered puberty, but still… I sighed.
"Women."
"Huh? Onii-chan, did you say something?"
"Nah, nothing important."
