Orthos took us through another teleportation circle, which transported us directly from the academy to the dungeon site where the exam would be held.

The dungeon is in a forest, where exactly I can't tell. I can spread my senses around and can get an idea, probably, but spreading my senses around would definitely alert the staff here.

Many teachers at the academy are in Tier-6 rank. So, they can sense others probing around as long as the ones doing the probing are someone of the same rank or below.

Since there is no reward for knowing where we are, there is no reason for me to sense the surroundings. Doing so would only cause trouble for me at this point.

I should complete this dungeon test and graduate from the academy. No need to create unnecessary troubles for myself at this point.

"This is what you are going to do. First, there are bracelets there, register them with your student ID. After that, you can enter the dungeon. As I said before, the dungeon time is a week. You can leave before but that means you are ending the exam".

"The points that you amassed in that time would be used to determine your marks for the exam. Now get moving. You should already know what you are doing at this point or else there is no reason for you to be here", Orthos spoke in his usual gruff voice.

If I don't know any better, I would think that he didn't like to be here and someone pushed the duties of overseeing the exams onto him but Angela told me about him before the exams had begun.

This was his usual demeanour. He acts as if he didn't like to be here but he was the one who chose to be the overseer, every year.

Why? I have no fucking clue.

If he wasn't interested, why did he take the role every year?

Either he likes to boss around the graduating students to make a mark on them or...he is observing us. Hmm, I didn't think much about that before.

He could be taking notes about our strengths and weaknesses through this exam, for himself or for someone else and forwarding that to them.

I mean, the chances are low. As a teacher of the academy, the data can be viewed by him if he wants and he can copy it for himself without any problem unless the details are kept secret.

So there was no reason for him to take the responsibilities of such a position to know our details. Maybe he likes to grunt at someone and he takes this to do so.

Whatever the reason might be, I don't care about that. For now, I have a dungeon exam to complete.

After Orthos gave the instructions, every student went to the desk, where there were bracelets and took one for themselves. As soon as we scan our academy ID, it will be registered to us. It was as simple as that. There are no separate registrations that would take a long time.

I got my hands on one and immediately registered it. After that, I entered the dungeon through the portal.

Orthos didn't say what type of dungeon this is and what type of monsters are present in the dungeon but that doesn't matter much anyway for me. I am at Tier-6 and this dungeon should have been selected with students in mind.

Most of them are still at Tier-1 rank and trying to enter Tier-2 but are hindered by the promotion mission. So, if the academy dumps us in a Tier-3 or higher dungeon, then that would be it for many of these students. The dungeon would be their resting place and the academy would become famous for killing of their students.

I don't think that the academy is that dumb. So, this could be a dungeon where the highest is only Tier-2. So it would be a child's play for me but I should make the effort to show that I didn't easily eliminate them.

I don't know whether this dungeon is under surveillance or not. Normally, it's difficult to do so inside dungeons but I heard about artificial dungeons where it can done.

If this is one, then if I show my full power, I would be screwed.

I didn't bother if the dungeons in the academy were artificial or natural because artificial ones cost a lot of resources to create and even then setting up surveillance is very costly. There is no way that there would be such costly surveillance 24/7 in those various dungeons.

This dungeon however is different. This is an exam dungeon that would be used for a week per year. So using surveillance in that time is not that costly when compared to watching the students' performance.

After all, this is an exam and they need to know everything to grade us. So they could be watching us and that means I can't be me at all during these seven days.

It was problematic but not impossible.

Anyway, let's start the hunt and give them a show that they want to see.

A Day Later...

It was as I thought it would be. It has been a day but the highest rank that I encountered was Tier-1 level 20. Even so, there were only two in Tier-1 that I encountered. All the other ones that I encountered are still in Tier-0 rank.

Normally in five years, one would have reached Tier-5 at the least if there were no such stringent conditions that blocked people from progressing higher, but there is making people be at lower ranks.

This is why, even though there is an easy levelling up system, ranking up is very problematic and impossible for many, making them stay in low ranks forever. It is because of that, the graduating dungeon is of lower rank.

Anyway, let's hope that I will get to face the possible Tier-2, almost Tier-3 monsters in the coming days or else this will be a boring and stressful vacation for me.
