Chapter 23: Guy Crimson
Back at the Ice Continent, Guy Crimson sat on his throne, sipping a glass of crimson wine, when he felt the immense surge of power emanating from Rudra. A smirk crept onto his face as his blood began to race. "So, Rudra, it seems you've finally stepped up. It's time... we'll settle this once and for all."
As he savored the anticipation, a sudden, overwhelming aura filled his castle. Guy immediately stood up, startled. "This aura… wait, Rain? No... this is different. She's gotten stronger. Almost as strong as me. Interesting…"
Before he could process further, one of his demons entered and informed him that a messenger from Lord Beerus had arrived, requesting an audience. Intrigued, Guy gestured for them to bring the visitor to him. Moments later, Zerna entered the throne room, her composure unwavering despite being in the presence of one of the strongest beings in the world.
Guy greeted her with his usual confidence, sizing her up. " You have grown stronger Rain oh my mistake Zerna"Interesting. Shall we test that strength?" His crimson eyes gleamed with excitement.
Zerna raised a hand calmly. "Lord Guy, I am here on Lord Beerus's orders to deliver a message, not to fight. Please hear me out."
Guy's curiosity piqued. He stepped back and crossed his arms, nodding for her to continue.
"Lord Beerus has declared that in two years, you and Rudra will engage in a battle to the death. There will be no avoiding this match. The battle will decide the strongest between the two of you and bring an end to your endless game."
Guy's smirk faltered for a split second before it returned, sharper than before. His crimson eyes burned with excitement, his blood pumping with anticipation. "A battle to the death, huh? No restrictions, no games, no holding back. Just pure, raw power. It's been too long since I've had a fight like that." He clenched his fists, feeling his energy surge. "Tell Beerus I accept. Rudra and I will settle this, once and for all."
Zerna nodded, satisfied that her task was complete. Without another word, she teleported back to Celesterra, reappearing by her Lord's side. "The message has been delivered, Lord Beerus. Guy Crimson has accepted the terms."
Beerus, lounging on his throne, smirked with satisfaction. "Good. This will be entertaining."
Velzar, who was seated nearby, observed Beerus with curiosity. "You seem excited about this battle, Lord Beerus. Why go so far as to have them fight to the death?"
Beerus glanced at her, his gaze filled with understanding that only a warrior could possess. "Because that's the only way they'll both go all out. I've been where they are—facing an opponent of equal strength, knowing that one wrong move could end everything. It's exhilarating. It's the ultimate test of a warrior's spirit. They'll understand when the time comes."
Velzar nodded, a faint smile playing on her lips. She respected Beerus's perspective, understanding his desire for true, unrestrained battles.
Meanwhile, in the Eastern Empire, Rudra stood on his balcony, the weight of Beerus's words still fresh in his mind. His newly bestowed Adam, Lord of Order pulsed with power, filling him with confidence. He clenched his fists, feeling invincible. "Guy, this time, I'll settle the score and prove that I am the strongest."
