Chapter 9: 5 years
[Location: planet Enders, zephyr central continent.]
Zephyr being the best among the three continents in planet enders, was a cosmopolitan place. Free from local prejudices, with massive buildings towering the skies.
Being a cosmopolitan continent it ran a central government creation province, with administrative division. Though some high organizations have their own powers, independent of central authority. It also oversaw the duties and affairs, of cove and Agathe continent
Being the best and far much advanced continent, it had a worldwide scope. which meant it was composed of different people, from both cove and rarely agathe. Earning it's spot at the top rank.
Just like cove and Agathe had different cities, with different better sections so did zephyr. Only just a bit slightly.
'It's always busy.' A young man in his 20's with short dark hair thought, staring out the window of his black SUV. He could see the bubling crowds of citizens, patrolling the streets of nerve city. The capital city or central state, of zephyr continent.
"Sir, do you need anything?" A much older man in his 50's, with black and some strands of grey hair asked staring at the front mirror.
"Am alright Bruce." The young man casually waved to Bruce his driver, to which he nodded.
"Are we there yet?"
"Almost, young master Alex. We should reach there in about 10 minutes." Hearing that Alex then continued with his sight gazing, blankly staring at the crowds of people.
'Maybe one day.' He sighed a bit crossing his fingers.
It didn't take long before the SUV made it's way to a massive building, towering the skies. Stopping at the first gate, an armed guard then came to validate them.
"We're here to see the president." Bruce indifferently spoke a bit impatient. Glaring a cold stare at him, the guard then scoffed in disdain.
'Fucking rich bastards.' He scoffed, as this was a normal occurence. Usually rich folks from parts of zephyr and cove continent, would drive all the way here to see the president. But as always, they would be sent back if they didn't have an appointment.
"Do you have an appointment?" The guard asked, causing Bruce's eyes to twitch slightly.
"Here we go again." Alex sighed chuckling a bit, knowing what was going to happen next.
"D-do we have an appointment? Do you know who you're talking to young man." Bruce snapped, a vein bulging on his forehead.
"Tsk, who?" The guard scoffed rolling his eyes. Not taking it likely Bruce was about to pounce on the guard, but was stopped by Alex. Just in time before he did anything silly.
Wining down the glass, the guard expression changed to shock seeing the person at the back of the vehicle.
"Senator alex.." he stuttered with wide eyes, clearly recognizing the individual.
"You don't have to apologize, you're just doing your job." Alex smiled, shrugging it as nothing.
"I didn't bring my gold card, but allow me to introduce ourselves properly. I am Senator Alex from cove city, and this is my driver. I have some urgent matters to discuss with the president." He said to which the guard nodded, not needing any other form of identification.
Gesturing his hands, the gates were opened with the black SUV going in. Where they were approached, by yet another gate. This repeated itself, with each guard getting much more than the last. Reaching the forth and last gate, there wasn't too much guards here. Only few, with 5 men and women in special navy green clothes.
Stepping out the car Alex then made his way into the building, through the automatic sliding glass doors. No one tried to stop Alex, as he simply walked by knowing who he was.
Taking the elevator he stopped at the last floor. Walking past the armed guards, he made his way to the room by the last side of the hall.
"I need to see the president, now." Alex calmly spoke. Staring at each other, the two guards stationed there wanted to decline, but Alex wouldn't take no for an answer.
"Fine." He stormed past them, entering the door with his biometrics. The room was really spacious like a big flat. Various expensive chairs, desk, and quality items littered all over the place. To be honest it looked like an exhibition store, than a president office.
"I have-"
"Shh~" the older man with white hair, wearing a black suit and pants raised his hands. He was standing by the huge glass window, staring out. Frowning, Alex didn't like being interrupted but chose to keep quiet.
"It's peaceful down there isn't it?" The man asked with a light smile, staring at the crowds of people moving about.
"How?" Alex frowned confused. "It's anything but peaceful down there."
"Wrong.. you only focus on the noise generated, while I look beyond it." He smiled, turning round and facing Alex. "That's what differentiates us Alex." He chuckled walking towards Alex.
"One of the prototypes exploded again right?" He asked, to which Alex nodded.
"Yes.. but this time the casualties were much and.." Alex paused, hesitating a bit. "People are reconsidering the idea of the prototypes initiative."
"I see.." Marcus the president of zephyr, and leader of all three continents weakly sighed.
"Then I guess I have to make a speech again."
----------------------
Meanwhile back in Agathe, everything still looked the same except the addition of the sentinents. Android prototypes, purchased by the rich to help make life easier and more efficient.
Of course this was just another crap story, to enslave the poor folks. But they couldn't do anything as the system was and will always be corrupt, with the rich thriving on the poor.
In Eden street, a figure could be seen walking down the road. Stopping at a brown two story building, it stared at it as if recollecting something.
Shaking her head, the brunette haired lady then made her way to a local restaurant named after the street.
"Eden's gate." She muttered in a low tone walking in. Taking a seat, she ordered just coffee and their special pasta and sauce.
"Haha! stop it Jake, you're such a tease." A blonde woman chuckled, nudging the arm of the dark haired man besides her.
Seeing this, the figure clenched her fist tightly in anger. Of course this was none other than Kelly Jackson.
After that night her life had never been the same, as not only was she violated by miss Lou and a man. But she never ever laid her eyes on jack again.
She reported to the police several times, and they even organized a search party but still no leads. She even went as far as to accuse j and j enterprise, spilling the beans about what they did. And saying they kidnapped jack, and was torturing him somewhere.
Of course they ruled out her allegations as crazy, because Ronald was rich and powerful in Agathe. Buying his way out of every possible thing, that might implicate him.
This then led to Kelly being sacked by the company, whom confiscated some of her her properties. Except the house which she bought in her name.
But Kelly didn't stop, no.. she printed posters, contacted several friends she knew, but still no leads. Hell! She even put her contact lines out, and received different tips. But no matter how hard she searched, she still came up empty.
"Damn it!" Kelly shouted slamming her fist to the table, garning the attention of some people. But she didn't care, no. She'd lost everything she ever cared about, so what could happen now that would be worst.
"It's been five years now. Five lonely years you've been gone. How could you be so selfish jack? We promised to stay by each other's side no matter what." She sobbed, unable to hold back her tears in anymore.
"J-just give me a sign." Since Jack's disappearance, she always came here to their favorite place. In hopes she might once again see him, but seems like fate had other plans.
'I won't give up on you jack, I promise.' getting up, she made her way out the restaurant.
"Oops! Sorry, my bad." She apologized to the old man, with a long wooden staff.
"It's nothing dear. I should be more careful." He chuckled softly to which she smiled, walking away.
"Fine young lad won't you say Casper?" He smiled, rubbing the belly of the small black furry cat with green eyes on his palm.
"I wish there was something we could do to help her." He scratched his head thinking of something.
"Meow." The cat purred rolling it's eyes, already knowing the outcome.
"Haha! you old devil, I could never hide something from ya." Striding away, he made his way past the busy crowd to a secluded alley. Placing his hand to the wall, he drew a weird symbol on it.
"Azure kabal." He chanted, and the symbol glowed in response. Stepping through it, he was transported to another place entirely.
"Jeez~ kinda cold ain't it Casper." He shuddered, shivering from the cold of the omnious swamp. A small pond laid in front, containing a decomposing body in it.
"Alright then.. it's time to wake up boy." He smiled, pointing the wooden staff with a red gem at the top to the body.
"Rise." He commanded and the gem glowed bright red enveloping the body, lifting it in the air a bit.
