The Vice Captain of the WhiteBeard Pirates

Chapter 21: The Darkness Of The World

[ Third Person POV ]

West Blue

Several ships bearing the World Government and Marine insignias sailed across west blue. Day by day, they were getting closer to their destination: God Valley. The World Nobles lay in their rooms with their own respective slaves, lazing around and waiting for them to reach the island. Whereas the marines were on high alert. When Garp had received that den den mushi transmission from Roger. He wasted no time informing Fleet-Admiral Kong and setting sail towards the island. Fleet-Admiral Kong noting the severity of the situation sent Admiral Sengoku along with Garp for emergency reinforcements, you never know what could happen in the battle field.

Garp stood at the bow of his own ship, bearing a solemn expression as they got closer and closer to the island. They had already sent scouting ships ahead to see whether there was any pirate activity within the island as a precautionary measure. Finding the island void of any pirates, they proceeded according to plan. Garp looked back at the CP0 recruit that had been sent along with them, normally whenever a World Noble would travel out of Mariejoise. It was Mandatory that at least one CP0 agent follow along with them as a means of extra precaution. This time, they had sent a whole squadraint out, led by this one agent. Looking at her appearance, Garp noted that this agent was a woman of a young age; younger than even Garp himself. He didn't bother staring at the masked woman for long before he returned his gaze on the island.

Solemnly, Garp thought to himself, 'This time I will catch you, Roger' He had only known Roger for a few years, he had started by attempting to capture him in his earlier years in the marines. However, everytime he was close to capturing Roger, something would come up and prevent him from capturing him. This frustrated Garp, it almost felt like a divine intervention would occur every time Garp would try to capture Roger. It especially wasn't helping considering the fact that Roger was gaining more notiriety as time passed. He had grown to the point he would dare have skirmishes with the Rocks Pirates, one of the most terrifying pirate groups in the seas.

However, this time would be different. Garp felt it in his bones that this time, something would change. The World Government and Marine ships finally managed to dock at the shores of God Valley. What they failed to notice was that one of the slaves, a young girl with light hair and freckles on her face accompanied by a missing tooth was holding a small den den mushi in her hand. She was accompanied along with a rather tall tanned skinned boy with buzz cut. His upper body appeared to be more robust than normal children. Alongside her was a boy with puffy blue hair and makeup along his face.

They seemed to be doing their damnest to hide the den den mushi from their masters. The den den mushi in question had its eyes open. it appeared as if it was sending transmission signals to another den den mushi. In which the receiving signal would remain unknown, the island in particular was home to a small kingdom. The citizens of this kingdom were to be hunted for sport by the World Nobles and their slaves. When choosing which islands to do this, they normally choose kingdoms not affiliated with the world government, in which they would host a tournament like game and the winner would be the one with the highest kills.

The World Nobles, along with the marines slowly went to the capital of this small kingdom. Capturing anyone they saw along the way and throwing them in cages, where they would be branded with marks indicating their worth. Screams of women being forcefully separated from their children could be heard as they were all captured like animals and caged in like fashion. They reached the largest building in the town, which they assumed would be the royal castle, and barged in uninvited. The World Nobles ordering the marines to kill everyone within the viscinity. Men, women, children, even dogs were not spared from the ruthless fate that the World Nobles had condemned them to.

One of these World Nobles in particular was a man by the name of Saint Garling, he would take the initiative to kill the King of God island when he stood against the World Nobles in protest to this activity. Looking at the king's corpse, Saint Garling scorned before saying, "A king? Pretending to be a God like us? Blasphemy!!" The World Noble turned around and walked out of the castle. World Nobles laughing as they followed while slaves, marines and World Government officials remained silent. Such were the acts of the World Nobels, they did whatever they wanted, however they wanted and whenever they wanted without disregard for the consequences of their actions.

They were self-righteous people who believed they were descended from gods and demanded to be treated as such. The World Government would forever remain tolerant of their actions, as long as it never passed a certain thresh hold; of course. Rounding up the last of the citizens into cages, they soon finished branding all the citizens before announcing the commencement of the hunt. The citizens looked on in despair as they had already come to accept their fates. Which Kingdom would dare oppose the World Government? Along with the marines, they were also allied with over 170 different nations! Opposing them was akin to declaring war on the world itself!

After finishing the commencement ceremony, the World Nobles started to get their weapons ready for the hunt. Children could be heard crying for their mothers as the slaves opened the first few cages. The game would be held in stages, in which the first round was always the easiest. After all, who was slower and more scared than children? They let the children go and threatened that they would hurt their parents if they didn't run and hide. The children frightfully complied and all scattered in different directions. The World Nobles laughed at the children's poor efforts at escaping as they began the hunt ten minutes later.

Soon, screams and gunshots could be heard. As World Nobles shot and killed children running away from them on sight. Mothers could do nothing but cry as they heard this, accepting the fate that they would soon follow after their children. As all of this was going on, the Saber of Xebec could be seen slowly reaching the island. Inside, a man sat there relaxed and in a rather happy mood upon receiving the news that they were close to the island.

At the back of the island, two ships could be seen floating side to side. Boris could hear the gunshots and screams coming from the island. The more he heard it, the more his expressionless face would darken. Slowly as time passed, a storm started to cover the entire island. At first, it started to rain, but as time kept passing; the rain would soon turn into a downpour, and the downpour would be accompanied by lightning and thunder. The God Valley Incident had begun.
