The Vice Captain of the WhiteBeard Pirates

Chapter 25: The Chaos At God Valley

I had Stussy lead me to the World Government's base camp, I wanted to see if there were any survivors of Rock's slaughter before I went to get Whitebeard to escape the Island. As we walked towards the camp, we didn't talk to each other much. Aside the occasional questions that Stussy had for me like,'where do you come from?' or 'How'd you meet Whitebeard?' I answered her questions with as little to no words as I could. I felt that she'd only ask me more questions if I went into detail with my answers. I had also introduced myself to her, however, that spawned more questions from her; specifically about my surname: Xebec.

We had finally made it to the base camp, and when we got there. My assumptions were correct, well for the most part anyway, blood was soaked on the ground as if a huge pond was slowly being formed as blood slowly converged to one point. For normal people, the site would have caused someone to puke just at the site of it, however; Stussy and I looked on unfazed as we searched for survivors. Which we coincidentally had found when peering into one of the tents. There were a trio of a girl, a boy, and a.....boy? I really couldn't tell because the third one had makeup on but had a young man's physique. As I continued to stare at him, I recognized him as the future queen of the Kamabakka kingdom; Emperor Ivankov. As for the boy, he had a rather large torso, and tanned skin, making me recognize him as a young Bartholomew Kuma; a future Warlord of the sea. As for the girl, she had light hair and freckles on her face. She looked like a splitting image of Jewelry Bonney save for her blonde hair, I could only assume that this young lady in front of me was her mother.

The trio looked at me with frightful gazes, as if I had come to finish what Xebec had started. Stussy swept in to save me from explaining my intentions by flashing a beautiful smile and introducing the both of us. They seemed to ease up when Stussy was talking to them, was my face that intimidating? I didn't say anything and let Stussy handle the young trio. However, when I continued to look at the young trio who were currently being released from their shackles by Stussy. I could smell a sickening scent coming from Bonney's mother, who had introduced herself as Ginny Bonney. I could tell from the scent that she was indeed sick, moreover, judging from how strong the scent was radiating out of her. It looked rather terminal, as if she would certainly die from the disease; however, the question would remain when.

However, I didn't bother saying anything. I was no doctor, but I did know that Marco had just started learning how to heal people with his phoenix powers. Maybe I could take her to see him, he could at least prolong her life so she could die at a relatively older age instead of dying young. I didn't know how much it would affect the plot, but looking at the young girl with bright eyes as she talked to Stussy, I couldn't help but feel a little pity on her. That, however, would come later as I had suddenly sensed three presences engaging in ferocious battle. I could only assume that it was Rocks, Roger, and Garp. Judging from the way the fight was escalating, we needed to leave this camp before the power radiating from their battle destroyed the camp with us still in it.

As a result, I helped Stussy break the trio's bonds. Which Stussy had been struggling quite some time with, and when we had broken the last of their bonds. We quickly left the area and headed back to the ship. I couldn't just send Stussy there by herself considering that her current attire would have been easy for the crew to recognize as CP0. So I slowly led them back to the shore, before promptly turning into my animal form to carry all four of them to the ship. My huge figure would have been easy to spot considering that my height was almost twice the size of Whitebeard. When I dropped the four of them onto the ship, the crew looked at the four of them warily as they readied their arms to attack Stussy.

I quickly shrank back to human form and said to them, "Relax....there with us" Marco, who was currently in charge at the moment stared at Stussy for quite a bit before asking, "What's with the CP0 agent?" I slowly looked at Stussy, who also looked at the crew warily, before responding, "She will....be joining us...from now on." This comment made the entire crew exclaim in disbelief. They couldn't believe that they were going to have a CP0 member as a crewmate. I waited for the commotion to die down before continuing, "We....will treat her.....as family....Okay?" The crew grew silent when they heard it, they looked rather uncertain when they heard this. Only Marco decided to address his uncertainty towards the sudden announcement, "Did you talk to Pop's about this? I'll only accept her if he does, you know?" I couldn't blame him for his uncertainty, after all, it's not like I was the captain of the crew. I briefly responded to him, "I was....going to talk....to him....about it."

A tense silence lingered between the two of us. Marco had grown to be a leader of sorts within the crew, his opinions held weight within the group and everyone was happy to follow his lead. However, it wasn't as if my strength could have been ignored either. Although the crew had come to like me as well, they were more respectful of the power that I held. Even Whitebeard had acknowledged my strength within the ship after I joined his crew. Moreover, my little debut against the marines had left a deep impression in their minds. So my words also held weight within the crew, if not equal then just a little more than Marco's. Marco eventually relented and told the others to lower their weapons.

I could hear the quartet behind me release heavy sides of relief as they saw the pirate crew lower their weapons. It seems that the tension had them anxious and nervous of what was to come. Immediately after they lowered their weapons, I summoned my wings and took to the sky. I had to get Whitebeard before reinforcements from the World Government and the Marines could arrive. If they heard that the Rock's Pirates had invaded an Island that Celestial Dragon's were currently residing. They would send in as much reinforcements as possible, including and not limiting to, Fleet-Admiral Kong. We weren't ready to take on such forces, as such, we needed to vacate this island as soon as we possibly could.

I sensed Whitebeard in the distance still going at it with Sengoku, their battle had heated up. Half the area that they fought was in total desilation, and the destruction didn't seem to be stopping. Whitebeard seemed to be enjoying himself fighting the Admiral. However, the same couldn't be said for Sengoku, he looked furious as he kept blocking and dodging Whitebeard's cataclysmic attacks. Taking a deep breath, I took to even greater heights in the sky in preparation to take the nose-dive of the Centuary. I needed to encapacitate Sengoku just long enough to convince Whitebeard to leave the island. I had observed all that I needed to within the island, multiple Celestial Dragons were dead. The citizens of the once small kingdom were all dead, falling to Xebec's sick massacre, or the Celestial Dragon's even sicker game. I could already sense incoming reinforcements for the marines on their way here. Moreover, I could also sense an eerie aura coming from one of the ships.
