The Vice Captain of the WhiteBeard Pirates

Chapter 278: Meeting The Devil, Again

"This....this is madness!" Saint Ju Peter growled as he stared incredulously at where Nusjuro was last seen. His jaws had healed quite a bit, but he wasn't 100% just yet.

Saint Mars couldn't even say anything because he was still trying to piece himself together after being sliced right in two previously. He was going to need much more time to heal if he was going to fight me again.

Looking at the castle, which had gone quiet after all the ruckus that it had caused, I sighed before resting Labry's blade on my shoulder.

'Let's go say hi.'

If he was just as mad as I thought that he was, we were probably going to fight again. This time, however, I was pretty confident that things weren't going to turn out the way it had turned out previously.

I didn't want to rely on my awakening to solve all my problems, but I sure as hell wasn't scared to use it.

"Wait...! We're not finished yet!" Saint Ju Peter yelled as he tried to revert back into his animal form.

I looked back at him before my eyes slowly drifted to where Saint Mars was quietly healing and right back at him. It wasn't any fun to fight only one of them, especially when I had just figured out how to kill them off effectively.

Ju Peter tried to open his mouth to attack me again, but since the sandworm's jaws hadn't fully healed, he couldn't use his abilities as well as I assumed he wanted to. This resulted in him falling to his knees, sweat protruding down his forehead.

I slowly turned my gaze from him before I used Soru to disappear from the battlefield and reappear right into Mariejois. It seemed that Ken would need quite a bit of time to get Ginny out of wherever she was. I could feel her presence a bit ahead of where Ken was heading, so I felt it wouldn't be too long till we left.

Suddenly, my peaceful walk was abruptly interrupted by the sight of a Dragon crashing through a wall and crashing across the ground right in front of me.

Dragon looked like he had seen better days.

"It's been quite some time since I've had to exercise my muscles like this; you're pretty decent, I'll give you that," a mature voice echoed from my side as the source got

Turning, I was surprised to find a rather large man walking towards where Dragon was slowly pulling himself up. He promptly stopped before turning towards me, his eyes flashing with mild surprise as he slowly scanned me from head to toe.

"To think that you'd manage to escape the Five Elders...." Commander-in-Chief Kong remarked as his attention fully turned to me. "As much as I want to arrest the Revolutionary Army Leader, I can't let an even more dangerous figure like yourself walk around."

I didn't even have the chance to say anything because he appeared right before me without warning and swung his fist at my face. It was thanks to my Observation Haki that I had managed to dodge the swing, but the momentum that he had behind it indicated he wanted to kill me, at least with whatever strength he had.

I appeared at his side before swinging my fist right at his liver. He quickly took a side step to avoid the punch and countered with yet another swing right at my face.

This time, I blocked the punch before landing one of my own right at his stomach. However, Kong tanked the blow and used his abdominal muscles to trap my fist right in his stomach. My eyes widened slightly as I quickly moved my head to dodge the headbutt that he tried to throw at me.

Channeling lightning into my entrapped fist, I dug my fist a little bit deeper before dispersing it within his body. My fist had already been coated with Armament Haki, so the lightning's effect was amplified as it went for Kong's nervous system. Kong noticed almost immediately and used Soru to vanish and reappear a bit of a distance from me, but the damage had already been done.

He almost immediately stumbled forward as he grabbed his abdomen. It looked like the lightning has already started to get to him.

"Y-You!!" Kong growled as he fell down on one knee.

This wasn't going to be enough to kill him, but it would sure as hell leave him in the hospital for a couple of days, and that's all the time that I needed because I was aiming for Pangea Castle to begin with.

"Dragon, care to join me?" I asked curiously.

Dragon hooked his head before laying his head back on the ground.

"There's much to do while Mariejois is weak; I'll stay back and get on it before we have to leave," Dragon replied.

I didn't say anything, and I turned away and resumed my journey towards the castle.

I couldn't help but notice the countless World Nobles and slaves that were lying on the ground, they were all scattered like shedded leaves of a tree during the season of autumn.

Seeing how some of them were even beginning to stir, the urge to kill them kept tickling my mind like an intrusive thought.

Alas, my concern wasn't with them.

Not yet, anyway.

Eventually, I finally reached Pangea Castle, only to be greeted by a large boar that charged right at me.

"You bastard!!" The boar, Saint Warcury, roared. "What have you done with my comrades!!!"

I had to use Soru to appear to the side of his raging stampede. I was about to let my axe loose and loo his head off like a pig, but he immediately stopped mid-charge.

His behavior was nothing short of abnormal. Sweat poured from his furry face as he immediately stopped in his tracks and looked at a certain corridor within the castle halls that we had been fighting on.

He kept on looking for a while longer before he bowed his head and reverted back to his human form.

" Rejoice, it's not every day that you get to meet the enraged Lord," Warcury said with a huff, "but make no mistake, you will die for killing Saturn and Ethanbaron."

I could only look at him before thinking.

'his fur would probably make a good coat for Stussy'

Warcury stepped back and watched me slowly make my way back to where his Lord resided.

I slowly began walking towards the same door I had opened when I was there previously. The door's appearance hadn't changed since then, giving the same ominous aura that it had when I had opened its doors previously.

After starting at the doors for a bit, I sighed a bit and opened it. Leading me to the empty room where I had first met him and fought him, too. The only difference this time was that instead of sitting on the throne like he did before, he was standing right in front of it and was glaring at me.

Moreover, the aura that was coming out of him was telling me that he wasn't planning on talking things over any time soon, a fight was inevitable, and me stepping into the throne room was another way of starting the fight.
