The Villain Is Too Popular

Chapter 45: Chapter 45: The Tsundere Twin-Tails

It was afternoon, inside Triland Middle School's cafeteria. Sunlight streamed through the glass doors, illuminating Dekola and his group.

Unlike their recent passive-aggressive behavior towards Chenkong, Dekola hadn't rushed to make trouble as he was still unsure of Tendo's background. Instead, he smartly chose to remain silent, preparing to observe the situation.

But even if he stayed silent, a certain individual, dedicated to rapidly gaining 'popularity,' wouldn't miss such a golden opportunity to add drama.

"Kong, when I was at the door just now, I heard you guys wanted to buy drinks for the whole class and get along with everyone, right?"

"Huh?" Chenkong was startled, then subconsciously replied, "No, Brother Tendo, actually that was..."

Before Chenkong could finish, Tendo immediately interrupted, "If you ask me, you guys shouldn't bother so much. All the drinks for the class... I'll get them!"

"After all, if I remember correctly, I should be in the same class as you."

"In that case, your classmates are my classmates, aren't they?"

"Come on, come on, here's my card. Don't just stand there foolishly, go buy them quickly."

Tendo slipped the bank card he had secretly 'borrowed' from Yunmeng into Chenkong's hand. Then he gave him a forceful shove, telling him not to just stand there stupidly and to go buy the Blue Harmony Mountain City drinks.

Looking at the bank card in his hand, Chenkong didn't know what Tendo was planning. But from his understanding of Tendo, since Tendo had heard their earlier conversation, he was most likely planning to teach Dekola a small lesson.

As for why Chenkong was so sure? This was naturally because Chenkong had seen Tendo do similar things more than once at the Ember base.

After all, compared to the troublesome Children of the Stars in the base, Dekola, who was just an ordinary person, was much easier to deal with.

Yet, even those difficult delinquent Children of the Stars, as long as Tendo saw them bullying him, he would not only be quickly rescued, but those delinquents would often end up in a bad state.

This was because while Tendo wouldn't directly resort to violence, his wild and imaginative mind always allowed him to severely punish these bullies without using force, making them genuinely fear Tendo from the bottom of their hearts.

The King of the Stars Delinquents, Tendo... truly deserved the title!

Thinking of this, Chenkong couldn't help but feel sympathy for Dekola. He, bound by his identity as a Star Emissary, didn't want to use that power to bully an ordinary person.

But Tendo clearly wouldn't have such reservations. After all, to Tendo, there was no difference between ordinary people and Star Emissaries!

Meanwhile, seeing Tendo's immediate 'enthusiastic' behavior, the sense of crisis in Dekola's heart instantly diminished greatly.

He had initially thought Tendo was some troublesome character. But now it seemed he was just a simple country bumpkin like Chenkong, merely outstanding in appearance and with a somewhat striking aura.

There was nothing else particularly noteworthy about him; he was very easy to handle!

Thinking of this, Dekola, who fancied himself quite cunning, couldn't help but reveal a smug smile, as if he could already see himself manipulating Tendo.

However, just as Dekola was immersed in his fantasy, Tendo suddenly spoke, interrupting him.

"Here, classmate."

Dekola came back to his senses. What greeted him was Tendo's 'kind' smile and a bottle of 'Blue Harmony Mountain City' that he was handing him.

Looking at the completely sapphire-blue Blue Harmony Mountain City bottle in Tendo's hand, continuously emanating cold mist, Dekola, although ill-intentioned towards Tendo, had no intention of revealing it for now.

He prepared to maintain his 'good classmate' persona appropriately. So he reached out, instinctively wanting to take the bottle of Blue Harmony Mountain City from Tendo's hand.

But just as he extended his hand, the Blue Harmony Mountain City in Tendo's hand... suddenly exploded.

Bang!

The flying plastic bottle cap whizzed past Dekola's cheek, and countless bubbly blue soda sprayed from the bottle's mouth, drenching his entire body.

This sticky, bubbly soda not only instantly turned Dekola's meticulously styled hair into seaweed but also covered his expensive custom school uniform with foam, making him look utterly disheveled.

Seeing Dekola's plight, Chenkong showed a 'just as I expected' expression. He had long guessed that Tendo definitely didn't intend to treat Dekola and the others to drinks out of goodwill.

He was bound to have some mischievous ideas to mess with them. See, didn't it come true?

As for Tendo, the perpetrator of all this, his acting at this moment was exaggerated to the extreme. "Wow, I'm so sorry, classmate, I didn't expect this drink to be so fragile that it would explode with just a little squeeze. Are you okay?"

Am I okay?

Dekola looked at Tendo's mocking expression and immediately knew he had done it on purpose. He silently took out the expensive handkerchief from his chest pocket. After wiping away the remaining soda from his face, his expression was incredibly grim.

"You did that on purpose?"

Tendo smiled, then said matter-of-factly, "What else? You didn't actually think it was an accident, did you?"

Tendo not only answered casually but also acted very arrogant. He clearly didn't put Dekola in his eyes at all.

And for Dekola, who had been pampered and adored since childhood, this was simply unbearable! He looked at the unrestrained Tendo, his right fist clenched tightly, veins bulging on his forehead.

He clearly couldn't suppress his anger and wanted to make a move.

But before he could 'teach' Tendo a lesson, a cold voice came from the side.

"Dekola, what do you think you're doing?"

This suddenly appearing cold female voice not only made Dekola instantly calm down but also caused the surrounding onlookers to automatically part.

Dekola turned his head towards the direction of the voice and saw a girl with golden twin-tails and delicate features, walking towards them in shiny leather shoes.

Seeing that it was her speaking, Dekola's expression instantly froze. "M-Miss Isabella..."

Isabella didn't even look at him. She merely swept her gaze over the mess on the floor, then said calmly, "Go back to your dorm now. I can pretend I didn't see anything. Otherwise... you'll face disciplinary action from the school."

"But..."

Seeing that Dekola not only didn't leave but also wanted to argue, Isabella's gaze towards him instantly turned dangerous.

Seeing this, Dekola dared not linger any longer. However, before leaving, he still unwillingly glared fiercely at Tendo, as if saying, you got lucky today, our day will come.

Tendo was completely indifferent to this. Just a clown who overestimates himself, what's there to pay attention to?

And with Dekola, that annoying pest, gone, Isabella casually glanced at Tendo and Chenkong, then haughtily flipped her golden twin-tails and coolly walked out of the cafeteria.

It must be said, her demeanor and style were indeed very cool and chic, perfectly captivating a group of half-grown teenagers, including Chenkong, who was leaving the Ember base for the first time.

As for Tendo, having read the original work, he knew very well what the real Isabella was like. The real her was not as cold and noble as her current appearance suggested.

Instead, she was a little vain, a little desirous of attention. She was a typical tsundere young lady who liked to be in the spotlight.

And this type, undoubtedly, perfectly hit a certain self-conscious and love-starved individual.

Looking at Chenkong, who was still staring at her retreating back, Tendo immediately teased, "Alright, stop looking. She just did it casually; she didn't think that much."

Hearing Tendo's words, Chenkong, who had come back to his senses, was startled. Then he rubbed his head somewhat awkwardly, wanting to explain. But before he could speak, Tendo interrupted him first.

"By the way, I was originally worried about how to get you to interact with her, but now that we have this 'beauty saves the hero' moment, isn't this opportunity delivered right to our doorstep?"

"Kong, this arduous task of making friends with Isabella and staying with her for a long time... is now yours!"

"Huh?"

"Huh what? If you don't go, do you expect us to go?"

"Think about your sister's personality, and then Caroline's unsympathetic demeanor. If they went, I'm afraid they'd bring danger to Isabella before Isabella even encountered danger."

"So, the candidate for close-range protection of Isabella is none other than you!"

"But Brother Tendo, I feel like you're actually more suitable than me, after all..."

Tendo interrupted Chenkong without hesitation, and took a bottle of Blue Harmony Mountain City from the drink box Chenkong was holding. "What 'after all'? I don't like being a simp; this matter is settled."

"???"

Looking at Chenkong's bewildered expression, Tendo immediately thought of his humble appearance in the original work, where he was easily manipulated by Isabella, simping to the extreme yet gaining nothing.

So much so that he couldn't help but pat Chenkong's shoulder and say earnestly, "It's nothing, Kong, don't overthink it. I was just kidding."

"Besides, the so-called 'simp' isn't necessarily an insult. After all, some people... don't even qualify as simps."

"Alright, I'm not saying anything more. I'm going to report first."

"As for these drinks, you help me take them to the class and distribute them. Just say you're treating everyone. See you later."

Without giving Chenkong a chance to refuse, Tendo immediately waved his hand, then left the cafeteria without looking back.

It wasn't until Tendo's figure completely disappeared from view that Chenkong muttered to himself, somewhat uncertainly.

"Brother Tendo, is 'simp'... really not an insult?"
