The Villain Left the Sect at the Beginning, Now They Regret It

Chapter 87

Chapter 87: Undercurrents Surge:

After returning to the camp, Ruan Yan’er distributed the antidote to everyone and informed them of what had just happened. The disciples gradually recovered, all secretly feeling regret—they could have had a senior brother who was a Nine-Turn Golden Core expert and a dual-cultivator in alchemy and medicine…

Ye Li and Ye He, however, felt as if they weren’t drinking an antidote but rather something unbearably bitter. While Ruan Yan’er had gone to line up, they had already heard from others that the person refining the antidote was Tang Mo.

Ye Li had even bitterly thought that he might not sell it to the Pure Void Sect. Even if Tang Mo was giving face to Ruan Yan’er… But now, they had the medicine, and Ye He had regained her health.

They owed him for ten years, and now the debt had increased once more, to the point that Ye Li didn’t know how she could ever make amends.

Ouyang Lan cautiously suggested, “Senior Sister, should we head over there too? There’s barely anyone left in this area.”

Gu Hua, Wang Qi, and Pei Tian all nodded in agreement.

It seemed Tang Mo wasn’t holding old grudges against new disciples, and they all envied Ruan Yan’er. Even if they couldn’t gain his recognition, at least forming a good connection would be beneficial.

Ye Li and Ye He, of course, wanted to go. Even if they could only catch a glimpse of him from afar, it would slightly ease their longing.

With so many people in the secret realm, and their junior brother drawing attention, he could very well attract trouble from bad actors…

They had to protect him from the shadows.

Recently, with Ruan Yan’er guiding them, they had become more rational, planning to extend their efforts over time and slowly find their way back into Tang Mo’s heart.

“Then let’s pack up and move. But once we get there, let’s keep our distance and not trouble him.”

The disciples were delighted and quickly packed up their camp before setting off.

Ye Li led the female disciples at the front, while Wang Qi and Pei Tian trailed a short distance behind.

They had barely passed a few trees when they suddenly heard a weak voice calling from behind them:

“Hey, Junior Brothers… where are you headed?”

They turned around to find Lin Xuan, half-dead, leaning against a tree and struggling to his feet as he hobbled toward them.

Pei Tian, being straightforward, replied, “We’re moving to Senior Brother Tang’s camp.”

Wang Qi, on the other hand, took a few steps back. He had already seen through Lin Xuan’s nature and didn’t want to get involved.

Lin Xuan, oblivious to the subtle rejection, shamelessly threw his arm around Pei Tian’s shoulder for support and nearly commanded, “Perfect, then help me over there too.”

Pei Tian, being naturally quiet and honest, felt uncomfortable but wasn’t good at rejecting people. Helpless, he looked at Wang Qi for assistance.

Oh well, they were still from the same sect.

With a sigh, Wang Qi reluctantly moved to support Lin Xuan from the other side.

Lin Xuan treated himself like royalty, secretly thinking it was the perfect chance to send Ye Qingyi’s paper doll close to Tang Mo and complete his mission. Once he became a direct disciple after leaving the secret realm, he would trample all of them beneath his feet.

And that Ruan Yan’er? He would make sure she learned how to properly respect her senior brother!

Finally finding some laborers, Tang Mo and Li Weixi taught Liu Zai Mao and the others how to refine the antidote, instantly adding four more production lines.

And after witnessing Tang Mo’s impeccable medical skills, everyone was astonished. Outstanding medical cultivators were the most respected, and various factions eagerly approached, trying to establish good relations or seek medical treatment.

Tang Mo ended up even busier than before.

However, some factions chose not to engage for their own reasons.

Ling Dan Yuan’s Liu Feng, after observing Tang Mo’s medical expertise, decided to wait and see, while the Murong family merely watched from a distance.

Among the Murong siblings, they maintained an outwardly harmonious facade, but anyone with discerning eyes could see they were clearly divided.

Murong Jue, realizing that his recent gains would likely be overshadowed by Murong Yu, decided to place all his hopes on the Rebirth Tree dungeon.

However, encountering a talent like Tang Mo was also an unexpected opportunity—if he could recruit him under his faction, the old geezers back home wouldn’t dare to look down on him.

He didn’t rush to make contact now, unwilling to lower himself to the level of small sects and clans.

He wanted to wait for the right moment—one that would force everyone to notice him and allow him to outshine Murong Yu publicly!

“Come to think of it, my dear sister has always admired talent. I’m surprised she’s still sitting still…” Murong Jue took a sip of tea from the cup handed to him by a maid, his tone laced with mockery.

Murong Yu, smiling, replied, “Aren’t you the same? If you’re impatient, why not hurry over and get acquainted with Alchemist Tang? Lest another family snatches him up first.”

“No rush. The Rebirth Tree is the real prize. Besides, if Alchemist Tang really chooses another family over the Murong Clan, he’d be blind.”

Murong Yu maintained a composed expression, keeping up the act of sibling camaraderie, but inside, she was laughing.

What he said wasn’t wrong, but unfortunately, the Murong Clan had two branches, and Tang Mo had already chosen the one that wasn’t his.

Seeing Murong Jue so full of himself, she could barely hold back her amusement.

She was looking forward to the fifth day after leaving the secret realm—when Tang Mo would reveal what secrets he had divined.

At that moment, when Murong Jue realized why his plans had failed, what kind of face would he make?

Just then, Ning Chan whispered in her ear, “Mistress, Alchemist Tang might be in trouble.”

Murong Yu immediately looked toward his camp and saw a group of men in dark red robes aggressively pushing their way through the crowd, heading straight for Tang Mo’s camp.

Murong Jue raised an eyebrow. “Judging by their clothes, that looks like the Blood Fiend Sect from Mingzhou… What did they do to provoke such troublesome people?”

He thought this was a perfect opportunity—Tang Mo surely wouldn’t be able to handle the Blood Fiend Sect. The Sunfire Palace disciples likely wouldn’t step in either.

If he could swoop in and save the day, it would be the perfect chance to recruit Tang Mo.

But he wasn’t in a hurry. He wanted to watch first and assess their strength.

Murong Yu, however, looked grim. This sect was notorious for being ruthless, vengeful, and aggressive.

They were so detested that even cultivators from Mingzhou called their territory the “Valley of Villains,” warning travelers that passing through was dangerous.

Then she spotted a familiar face among them—it was the same man who had spoken rudely to Tang Mo earlier and had been sent flying by Li Weixi.

“Why do they look unaffected by the poison? Did they already buy the antidote?”

“Mistress, half an hour ago, the Blood Fiend Sect robbed someone for their medicine.”

Murong Yu stood up. “Ning Chan, stay hidden among the crowd. The rest of you, follow me. Wait for my signal before acting.”

“Yes, Mistress.”

“Getting restless already, sister?” Murong Jue smirked. “You are at the age to be infatuated, and I suppose Alchemist Tang does have good looks.”

Then, with a mocking tone, he added, “But with just a few followers, you think you can play the hero? Need me to lend you some men?”

“No need for you to worry.”

Murong Yu shot him a glance before swiftly leading her subordinates toward Tang Mo’s camp.

Murong Jue sneered, pulling a maid into his lap and idly groping her.

He admitted that Murong Yu was smarter than him, but when it came to cultivation and raw strength, his forces were far superior.

Then he suddenly asked his attendant, “By the way, where is Xiao Rui?”

“No news yet,” the attendant whispered. “She’s likely been exposed.”

Meanwhile, at Tang Mo’s camp, the Blood Fiend Sect arrived with hostility.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you? What do you want?!”

The scattered cultivators in line angrily shouted at them, but upon seeing their fierce expressions and brutish demeanor, they quickly stepped aside.

The Blood Fiend Sect’s leader, Tu Ren, sneered, his eyes gleaming with greed as he eyed Tang Mo’s stockpile of medicine.

“Master Yan, Lady Chang,” Tang Mo said calmly, “Thank you for your assistance, but let me handle this myself.”
