The Villain Only Wants To Live a Buddhist Life

Chapter 40

Chapter 40: Each Goes His Own Way – Dak and Wit

The “Bliss-1” card floating by in his vision confirmed that Dak’s senses were not off.

This flower card could indeed draw out people’s thoughts through mana conduction.

So-called “divination” was merely extracting what someone was currently thinking about from their surface thoughts.

By imbuing the flower card with the concept of “love divination,” it guided people to naturally think of the person they desired when using it, and then that person would appear on the card.

Even subsequent “the one they love’s loved one” was just a matter of personal belief.

It was nothing more than a small trick.

Since it wasn’t particularly harmful, it didn’t arouse suspicion.

On the surface, it was just a very interesting toy.

But now it seemed it wasn’t as simple as it appeared.

Dak used his mana pen to test again, confirming that this black rose flower card was indeed damaged. He then took out his notebook and began documenting.

① Flower cards can absorb thoughts through mana conduction.

② There must be people who accidentally input too much mana, but no one has reported it yet, indicating this card only reacts to a few people’s mana. For now, it’s only me.

③ The flower card can absorb “Bliss,” suggesting its root sequence is very high.

④ The person who made this kind of flower card must have considerable skill.

⑤ Want…

No matter who made this kind of flower card for whatever purpose.

Its ability to absorb “Bliss” wouldn’t change!

If he could collect enough flower cards, he could boldly attempt to elevate “Bliss” above 100 to create the Bliss series mana spirit cards.

His heart grew restless.

His greed was somewhat uncontrollable.

Dak calmed himself and tidied up the remnants of the flower card, sealing them in a bag.

At the same time.

Wit and Robert were practicing duels in the castle corridors.

Wit’s magical beast was a light attribute buck deer.

Standing two meters tall with majestic antlers branching like tree branches, it had significantly higher attack power than most magical beasts.

But as a magical beast, its mana was still only 100.

[Card Name: Magical Beast]

[Type: Elemental Card]

[Level: ?]

[Race: Avian-beast Kin]

[Attribute: Light Type]

[Mana: 100]

[Attack: 200]

[Defense: 100]

[Ultimate Skill: Light of Mind]

While Dak’s [Magical Beast: Ibut] underwent a qualitative change in its core,

Wit’s [Magical Beast: Buck Deer] and Robert’s magical beast [Magical Beast: Castle] were entirely reflected in the surface data.

All three of their magical beasts deviated from the standard template.

Wit aimed to win the class competition, not out of blind arrogance.

But after practicing with Robert for some time, Wit gradually realized his ideas were overly naive.

Robert’s castle was simply too hard!

Even with the buck deer’s 200 points of attack, it couldn’t cause any damage!

After repeatedly failing, Wit sighed, “This isn’t fair, Robert.”

Robert, however, was elated. “No, this is reality, Wit! 300 > 200, even I can do the math!”

Wit frowned. “But I remember Professor Jones saying that the surface data of mana spirit cards can only be used as a reference; there are significant discrepancies in reality.”

Robert gloated, “The discrepancy is that I’m harder than you imagined! Hahaha!”

“This can’t go on!”

Wit lamented, “Let’s call it a night. I want to practice alone.”

They then went their separate ways.

Robert wandered around and saw many first-year students practicing duels, but they were all minor skirmishes, with restrained smiles.

After separating from Robert, Wit drew the flower card adorned with red lilacs.

Injecting mana, the face of that person reappeared within the card.

Wit’s expression was somewhat dazed. The anomaly in the library made him realize this flower card was extraordinary.

But he didn’t know how to deal with it.

Should he tell the professor?

Or explore it himself?

Would telling the professor expose his secret?

He couldn’t decide.

Wit pulled out his book, *Into the Abyss*.

The moon was still full tonight. Would it be effective?

But before he could even open the cover, let alone step out into the moonlight, the text on the page began to twist, and pink mist rose from the pages.

It didn’t form a shape.

Instead, it drifted toward the lilac flower card in his hand!

Wit was startled and instinctively separated the two.

But the pink mist accelerated and instantly drilled into the flower card!

Subsequently, the card immediately changed. The lilacs on the card bloomed, releasing a strong floral scent.

Senior Pandora’s image suddenly came to life!

Half her body emerged from the card, lifting her delicate hands to comb back her hair, revealing her snow-white neck.

Wit’s eyes widened, staring at Senior Pandora, who looked exactly like a real person, completely stunned!

A few minutes later.

Wit put *Into the Abyss* back in his bag, holding only the flower card shrouded in pink mist.

He placed the card in his palm, occasionally looking down at the image of Senior Pandora that appeared within, whispering, “Is this the way?”

Senior Pandora chuckled softly, nodding slightly.

Her laughter was gentle, like clear spring water flowing over his heart.

Wit followed her guidance, somewhat entranced.

Soon, he arrived at the place he had walked last night, passing quickly in front of the statue of the Great Magus, then turning onto another path.

Senior Pandora’s guidance was clearer than the mist.

He entered the secret passage, quickening his pace. This time, he didn’t take a wrong turn. In less than ten minutes, he reached a grand hall.

This hall was hidden deep within the castle, equivalent to a tiered classroom. At its center stood two stone pillars, carved with images of a goddess dancing.

In front, a tall altar was built.

A statue of a goddess stood atop the altar!

As Wit stepped inside, the torches on both sides of the hall automatically lit up, illuminating every corner.

Wit nervously looked at the statue.

The statue was intricately carved from fine white jade, with little historical dust left on it.

It held its hands over its chest, closed its eyes, and nodded slightly, as if in prayer.

The firelight illuminated it, reflecting a moon-like white glow.

Suddenly, Dak found that just by looking at it, he felt his mind being drawn in.

It was so sacred and beautiful.

“Tap.”

Footsteps echoed unexpectedly.
