The Villain Only Wants To Live a Buddhist Life

Chapter 48

Chapter 48: Dark Demon Caught Gossiping Online

Emma left behind the last ripple and walked away without looking back.

Yet, the atmosphere between Wit and Robert instantly froze!

Only Dark transformed into an emotionless gossip machine, finishing the entire melon.

Considering what he had seen on Monday and the many unusual behaviors of the two over this period, Dark could guess roughly how things had developed.

But he couldn’t understand how the trio had ended up in such a fragmented state. Was it because he, as the antagonist, hadn’t applied pressure?

It couldn’t be that simple, right?

However, Dark found himself somewhat interested in how things would progress next.

Emma had completely severed ties with Wit and Robert; their relationship had been torn apart by Emma’s final ripple.

Now, would Wit reconcile with Emma, or would he remain steadfast with Robert?

“Sis… This feels like a TV drama!”

Thinking it wasn’t too late to head to Traveler’s Street, Dark continued his gossiping.

No matter what, Wit did hear Emma’s last words. The key was Robert’s behavior over the week, which made him realize that Emma’s warning wasn’t groundless.

Yes, Wit gradually realized the root of the problem.

This was the main reason for the growing tension.

Before the air completely solidified, Robert finally couldn’t hold back and said, “No way? Wit! You can’t really believe what Emma said and want to…”

Wit chuckled dryly, patting Robert’s shoulder, “What are you talking about, Robert? We’ve been good friends since the start of the school year. How about it? Since this debt doesn’t exist, shall we go to Traveler’s Street or play a game?”

“Haha, don’t scare me.” Robert sighed in relief, “Of course, back to… the library?”

Wit was stunned, exclaiming, “Really? The library?”

Robert also laughed dryly, saying, “We haven’t finished our homework for Arithmetic and History of Magic, have we?”

Emma probably never imagined that her last words to Wit would impact Robert more than Wit himself!

In the almost stagnant atmosphere, Robert finally realized that if he didn’t change, he might lose this “Hero’s Child” friend forever.

Seeing the two head towards the library, Dark’s gaze became strange and he walked out from the corner.

“Are they going for the buddy route? I wonder how long they’ll last?”

Once cracks appear in relationships, they aren’t easily mended.

Dark suddenly found the gossip tasteless.

He shook his head and walked toward the direction where Emma had disappeared.

“Come to think of it, why does Emma want to attend a girls’ tea party? What’s driving her change?”

Emma Maltis, of course, wanted to try the so-called “work-life balance” after hearing Dark’s speech after winning.

Using fun activities to relieve the monotony of studies and give the brain some rest, making it more efficient when working.

The girls’ tea party at Traveler’s Street was something she learned about last week from a flyer given to her by a maid at Forest Cafe.

She threw the flyer away at first, but her memory was strong.

Forest Cafe was themed around a “real forest,” and once customers entered, they were within the “forest field card.”

In the tranquil environment among giant tree roots, enjoying the lingering aroma of coffee was quite unique.

This girls’ tea party was organized by the seniors under the guise of a book club, focusing mainly on literary exchanges among the daughters of literary families.

Emma thought such entertainment suited her well.

Thus, to improve herself, she stepped out of the self-imposed cage of “knowledge-seeking.”

Personalities are not inherent traits.

Even characters in works can change with the development of the story.

Whether it’s degeneration or growth depends on the character themselves.

Dark understood this deeply.

Following Emma, he entered Lotus Pavilion and chose one of the two empty stone tables, sitting on one of the stone stools. With a slight twist of his hips, he was lucky enough to teleport.

Exiting Lotus Pavilion and crossing the garden bridge known as the “Costume Bridge,” he entered Traveler’s Street.

After a week, Traveler’s Street felt slightly unfamiliar.

Dark didn’t rush to Morgan’s shop but instead browsed a store selling potted plants.

Animals were forbidden in the castle of Saint Maryann Academy, but flowers and plants were allowed.

Even Professor Thompson of Potions occasionally mentioned interesting potted plants in class, recommending students to try them.

One of these was the cat grass right in front of Dark!

As soon as he entered the shop, Dark’s attention was drawn to the cat grass placed prominently, nearly forgetting his original purpose—to look for the worm tree.

Cat grass was a plant that looked like a cat except for its stem-like tail!

Every spring and autumn, beautiful flowers would grow on top of the cat grass.

While cats were prohibited, cat grass was allowed, which was a puzzling mystery.

Although the roots of cat grass needed to be planted in soil, they could drag their pots around if they wished…

And for short periods away from soil, they wouldn’t immediately wither.

More importantly, they would meow and exhibit most of the behaviors of cats, except for excretion and feeding.

—In other words, taking care of cat grass didn’t require cleaning up feces or buying cat food!

Instead, a potion called “cat juice” was used.

Watering cat grass with “cat juice” and letting it bask in the sun was sufficient for its care!

According to Dark, after last week’s opening of Traveler’s Street, many girls’ dormitories had added a pot of cat grass.

For example, Rose bought an orange Garfield.

“Cats are truly good companions for the body and mind.”

Dark scratched the chin of a short-eared cat, unable to suppress his thoughts.

“Do you agree?”

A familiar aura suddenly appeared behind him, causing Dark to shudder as if a little kitten encountering a lion, his toes tensing.

The light fragrance caressed his nape; even without turning around, Dark could feel the heavy pressure!

Maintaining his playful pose, Dark asked in confusion, “Senior, why are you here too?”

Pandora Senior smiled lightly, “I followed you.”

Dark: “Hmm, to buy cat juice?”

Pandora: “You’re hard to fool!”
