The Watcher of the Dimensions

Chapter 732: Chapter 50 Too late for redemption

Arthur looked at the corpse of the man who damned himself in eternal suffering in his hand. He narrowed his eyes with a hint of piety while raising the ground to bury his body with his loved ones.

" Was it necessary to kill him?"

Chavez asked him with a shaky voice but Arthur refused to answer him for it was his request. This man knew he couldn't beat them, yet he willingly jumped to them to die.

Thus, Arthur granted his last wish and eased his pain by ending his pain and his world from misery. This was his duty as a guardian and a hero who could see the end of men.

" Don't question him, Chavez. Let's go back to our home."

Strange placed his hand while looking at Arthur with a complicated expression. He understood why he did it and this was the only resort for him. Hence, he didn't blame him for his decision.

" Road for heroes are lonely, child. You will be broken down by others so many times and you will understand it someday."

Our Strange answered her question as they opened the portal to their universe thanks to Darkhold copy. This thing was able to pinpoint Wanda and could tell what she was planning. However, the burden of dark arts was placed on three of them except Chavez.

" Close your eyes."

Arthur whispered, teleporting them through space time as he felt the sheer pressure of space on his shoulders. Unlike Chavez who had space ability, he had to use magic and his power which drained his power.

Especially those who break taboos would often get hefty restrictions in other universes like Arthur.

" We are here. We just have to find where is the altar of darkhold and destroy it."

Arthur fixed his clothes, looking around the Sanctum to find Wong and he did it quickly. Wong somehow felt their presence, appearing from the portal with a pale face.

" You are here. We tried to stop her but she was too powerful. She is heading here to get here."

Wong caught his breath rather quickly after drinking water from Arthur as he recalled the events after Wanda's disappearance. To save her children, she shattered the entire world's reality and attacked the last remaining magic force that could destroy her power.

Kamara Taj sorcerers stood bravely before her mighty chaos magic but in the end, she won the battle, wiping out almost 80 percent of the sorcerers which greatly weakened the magic force of their planet.

" We will bait her then."

Arthur knew Wanda was a clever woman, so she surely hid the altar from his vision. I'm order to destroy it, he had to use Chavez to lure her out and find out where the altar was.

" It is too dangerous. The girl will die if something wrong happens to her."

Strange tried to stop him but Chavez agreed with his plan. She understood this wouldn't end if they played cat and mouse with her, hence she would use the last resort.

Strange tried to dissuade her by grabbing her hand but she freed herself from his grip. She slowly raised her head and smiled softly at his surprised face.

" It is okay, uncle. I will do it."

Strange choked with silence, not thinking straight due to her determination. Perhaps she was right but he wasn't willing to let her go into the tiger's den.

" You said there was a corpse of our variant who was able to use magic. Maybe you could use dark arts if you use his body."

Our Strange knew Strange lacked the firepower to counter her completely, thus he suggested using necromancy to offset the curse.

" That is too risky. His soul might be corroded from the dark arts."

Wong tried to stop him but Strange didn't listen to his warning. He guessed this was his face for he was the person who was responsible for Wanda.

" I understand. What about you two? Will you fight alongside us?"

Arthur nodded with a solemn face, calculating what they should do in the upcoming battle.

After a few days in New York.

Chavez stood on the Empire State Building, looking at Wanda who warped next to her in silence.
