Chapter 2: The Wicked Warrior
The Wicked Warrior
Compared to his students like Alcides or Asclepius, Magsarion had no gifts or talents. Even Jason was a jack-of-all-trades among his students, and he was superior to Magsarion in this regard. But there was one thing that The Angry Young Man was superior to.
"Determination"
There was none of his students more determined than Magsarion.
Come rain or shine, his bones may creak or break. Magsarion never stopped swinging his swords. It was truly a quest for limitless strength.
But in the face of all this, a thought came to him about his student.
'Why does he try so hard?'
Well…maybe one day he will tell him.
He is a patient Centaur. He will wait for his student to tell him. After all, even without talent, Magsarion has more than proven that he has as much potential as everyone else.
_____________________________
In the middle of a training camp of the great centaur Chiron.
A future and acclaimed hero stood, this was ALCIDES (future Hercules/Heracles)
Alcides, a tall young man with dark skin and long, wild dark hair, but still conveying a handsome and masculine appearance.
A champion who fought against monsters, in the modern world, he is better known as Heracles, the bastard son of the king of the Greek gods, Zeus, and in the future, his name spread much more compared to that of Jason.
And in the future, the one who is believed to be the greatest hero in Greek mythology!
Even if we put all the heroes of the entire Greek Age of God, in a ranking, in terms of strength, Heracles can certainly be among the top three if not in 1st place.
Now, Alcides' eyes closely observe his opponent in this "Sparring" that was taking place.
In front of him, Magsarion. The diligent Child had grown to the age of a young adult. And he was as determined as ever.
'I didn't think Magsarion would agree to put on a show like this.'
Alcides thought as he watched one of his "brothers" in front of him. And yet he saw with his own eyes the black knight emerging onto the field.
His appearance in sinister armor, without a single hole, covered with countless blood stains and dents from blows. And the infernal glow of his eyes, visible even through the helmet that hides his face.
A grave and cold stench, as if from death. A feeling of ferocity and cruelty, as if from the devil, filled Alcides' nostrils and his instincts.
In many ways, it is fundamentally different from the very foundations of the "Heroes". This way of life, when dark emotions, bloodlust and incredible mass hatred, the darkness of the bottomless abyss, repeatedly, even now, bring destruction to everything around.
Not only his appearance, but the fierce flame of anger that continues to burn within him leaves no doubt that he is not some prank by his classmates dressing up as him.
Even from here you can feel the indescribable bloodlust he feels. Both towards the audience of students watching them and towards his Master Chiron, who paired them, he shows a hatred that is no different from his treatment of his enemies.
And yet he does not move. Magsarion, who would never tolerate the atmosphere here, stands at attention while the anger still burns within him. The whole thing seems like a nightmare, it is simply not normal.
Magsarion is someone incapable of a staged combat. In fact, even now he is absolutely serious in this sparring, which was supposed to be a "showcase" of his master's prize students.
Among them all, if they were to speak of talents, he and Asclepius were the most suitable. However. If they were to speak of pure "Strength", Magsarion was on par with him.
That's why...
*CLANG*
The impact of the confrontation shook the Field and shook the earth, forming broken winds. Alcides and Magsarion, facing each other head on, were completely serious.
Their blades clashed without hesitation, seeming to seek to take the life of the opponent, without considering even a fragment of theatrics. The younger students shouted excitedly. Too young to notice the difference between a "real" fight and a "staged" one.
However, for the other students?
Asclepius, Jason and Meleagre it was different:
Asclepius crossed his arms over his cloak, while he kept watching the fight with a sharp gaze.
"This is not sparring… You realize, don't you?"
Jason frowned, still trying to keep his tone light, but the sweat on his forehead showed otherwise.
"Yeah, I wanted to believe they were taking it easy, but… just look at this. They're trying to kill each other!"
Meleagre, who was next to the two, let out a sigh.
"And since when has Magsarion done anything "half serious"? Have you ever seen him hold back a blow?"
Beside him, the demigod doctor quickly responded with a disgruntled sigh.
"Never. But what worries me is not just him… Alcides is not hesitating either."
"As if he would! Alcides doesn't back down against anyone. And Magsarion… well, he never knew what it's like to give up." Jason, his friend Alcides' biggest "Fanboy" replied.
"So, which one of them will fall first?" Meleagre asked.
The three remained silent for a moment, watching the brutal clash of the blades.
"If it was just strength, Alcides would win." Asclepius stated with certainty in his words, before hesitating and continuing. "But Magsarion doesn't fight only with muscles. He fights with… something more."
"Do you mean stubbornness?"
"— Or maybe anger." Jason and Meleager answered almost at the same time, respectively.
Asclepius continued to watch the sparring, before answering:
"Maybe both. But, whatever it is… it's something that burns inside him, something that won't let him back down, even against someone like Alcides."
Jason soon spoke with a tone of finality.
"That's what scares me. Magsarion fights as if every fight were his last…"
The three of them watched again, the sound of swords echoing in the air. None of them dared to say it out loud, but they all had the same feeling:
This wasn't going to end well.
Back to the fight, the fight continued fiercely!
The blades crossed violently, it was a dispute of strength. If it continued like this, one of the two would be cut in half along with the sword that gave way. However, in the next instant, Alcides' sword slipped smoothly. More than deflecting Magsarion's force, he used it, turning his body completely and, in an instant, taking his back. All the students who watched the scene as spectators widened their eyes. Sirius' movements were not particularly strange; they were just basic fundamentals in the eyes of Chiron's older students. However, Alcides' pure skill made it seem INCREDIBLE in the eyes of the newbies.
A humorous laugh was heard coming from Alcides.
"As always, you are not skilled. You really haven't changed. Brother."
Alcides quickly delivered a horizontal blow in a state of absolute clarity. An unerring attack, designed to cut through the unprotected back of his knight opponent. However, surprising those watching, Magsarion avoided the blade that was approaching his neck at the last moment. Throwing his entire body to the ground as if he were rolling, he backed away rudely and ugly, raising a cloud of dust to block the view of his rival. Many of the onlookers shouted mockingly, calling the animalistic act cowardly and without regard for Magsarion's appearance or dignity. However, those who knew this dark knight to some extent understood: Magsarion's actions always led to an attack, regardless of the situation. It never crossed any of their minds that Magsarion would run away. No, the moment he moved away, Alcides was already prepared for whatever his attack might be. "Dig your own grave. Dirty blood." With a slashing attack that bordered on a mirage, an invisible slash cut through the cloud of dust on Alcides' flank.
However—
"Stop playing games, Magsarion. If you're going to fight, use your strength alone, no tricks."
BOOOOM
A roar similar to thunder was heard. What was that noise? It was obvious to anyone who looked closely at the two opponents.
Alcides, who kept his left fist free, had struck Magsarion's helmeted skull with full force, sending the warrior flying across the field.
"I don't ask you to forgive me. Or to consider me just meat for the slaughter, brother."
"'Brother'...how do you keep…saying that."
At that moment, what was the aura that Magsarion displayed? His expression was hidden beneath the bloody helmet, and could not be seen. However, the waves of emotion that overflowed were to the point of being terrifying… Perhaps… it was joy.
"ku…kuku…hahhahahHAHAHAHHAHAH!"
Magsarion seemed to have gone mad. Laughing euphorically, the Black Knight shot like an arrow towards his opponent. Faster than most could react.
This time he did not dodge, but instead took Magsarion's full force head-on with his own blade. As if it were nothing. 'Calling it absurd is a joke.
"Come on Magsarion…say…I know…how heavy a burden you—as well as us—bear…."
Was there an ulterior motive for this fight?
Yes…the tragedy of 10 years ago. A story that affects all 5 current Chiron veterans, and that resulted in the departure of the 6th member… Everyone changed that day… of all of us… Magsarion seemed the most determined to despise that day… and Alcides sought to alleviate the darkness of his "brother" in everything, except blood. And answering Alcides' own soul, Magsarion finally opens his mouth. "And you think that's enough to make me obedient? You disgust me?" Almost lethargically, both combatants retreat to their respective sides. Their blades shone with their opponent's blood. Not enough to be worrying, but enough to make everyone see the seriousness of the situation. After a few moments of silence, Alcides put away his blade, bowing his head in respect, as he turned to leave and silently declaring the end of the Sparring. The sudden end leaves the audience somewhat surprised, but soon timid applause is heard, which turns into thunderous applause. The cries of joy that fall over the deserted arena rise to the heavens.
In an almost animalistic manner, Magsarion retreated from the field, like a heavy shadow. The Young Warrior left the place, thinking there was nothing left that he could take advantage of (kill) there.

In the crowd of students who screamed and ran to Alcides, with doubts and childish congratulations, there was an anomaly. A child who, instead of looking at the honorable warrior, looked at and admired the determination of the terrible black knight.
"Cool…"
A jovial speech from a small child. The young man could not have been more than 5 or 6 years old, with a thin-limbed build and a round androgynous face, his long purple hair tied in a ponytail.
He was the young "Theseus", another one of Chiron's prized young men. And now, the first fan of Chiron's infamous "cursed" disciple.
Completely ignoring the logic and basic instincts that roared against chasing the beast, Theseus ran in the direction Magsarion had gone. Fleeing under the watchful eyes of the wise centaur Chiron.
_______________________
Not far away, in the same clearing as before, Magsarion continued his rhythmic training. A phlegmatic figure amidst the destruction of the landscape.
What had once been empty strikes in the air and occasional attacks on the environment, were now slashes in the air that tore the ground with their winds and cuts that split trees. His evolution was vivid for all to see.
Magsarion's purpose was unknown. Many heroes had their destiny written, but Magsarion looked and acted like an anomalous being to everything and everyone. Like a void that grew in the heart of the world.
The boy stood there, captivated by the sight before him, silently recognizing the formidable spirit that resided within Magsarion — a spirit that defied the conventions of understanding and forced one to question the limits of heroism itself as known and sung.
Usually, a hero guides others, offering hope even in the darkest moments and acting as a vanguard of humanity.
It is an ideal to aspire to.
Meanwhile, Magsarion, drenched in gore, held a strange allure, captivating the Admiration of Theseus.
Who watched as Magsarion's relentless attack persisted.
The clash of his sword against an unseen enemy continued, creating a spectacle of sheer determination and unwavering resolve.
Despite his lack of talent or finesse, he was carving a path through the earth, creating his own version of hell.
He refused to be ordinary, carrying a burden of responsibility far greater, heavier than most.
And though the world might condemn him, he pressed on, determined to cross the ocean of blood that lay before him.
He was a true warrior who walked the path relentlessly.
After a period in which the sound of blows gave way to silence, Magsarion stopped. His eyes, hidden beneath his blood-stained helmet, stared into space as if searching for answers to unspoken questions. It was then that, from within the shadows, a timid little voice broke through the distance.
"Magsarion…?"
The warrior was startled. For an instant, the fury in his gaze gave way to cautious curiosity. Turning slowly, he found Theseus, his little admirer, standing a few meters away, his eyes shining brightly – not with fear, but with an almost sacred fascination.
"Who are you, brat?" A cold voice came from the armor. Filled with a limitless thirst for blood. If a creature incapable of speech had heard it, it might have been compared to a gust of dry wind. However, at the same time, it was possible to hear an intense and boiling hatred and rage in it.
His fingers, still stained from training, clenched lightly on the hilt of his sword, as if the unexpected presence might disturb him.
The boy swallowed hard, but kept his gaze firm and sincere.
"My name is Theseus. I... I saw your fight. And... I wanted to say that I admire you," he said with an innocence that contrasted with the violence of his surroundings. Each word seemed to carry a conviction that belied his young age.
The silence stretched on for a few moments…
Normally, people would be proud and confident of being admired by others.
However—
"Don't get in my way, brat… go away!"
Magsarion is not like everyone else. Perhaps this could also be considered a type of contemptuous attitude.
At the same time, a sharp whistle of the wind could be heard. Magsarion turns to the boy with a sideways blow, and the tip of his sword hits me squarely in front of the boy, making him stumble and fall on his butt.
"I just can't understand you. Can't you do anything but get in the way?"
His words are filled with undisguised disgust. Without moving the blade to the side, he tilts his head slightly to the side. As if he were looking with interest at an unknown animal in front of him, and not at a child who admires him.
But despite the implicit threat, Theseus didn't care. He remembered the story that Master Chiron had entrusted to his younger disciples.
Where he told the vision of a young warrior continuing to wield his sword, even in the midst of absolute despair, giving them the courage to get back up, even with the heavy training and the fatigue of their creaking bones.
Whatever Magsarion's intentions, the truth is that his way of life brought light to people, even if he despised it.
"I-I…" the young man was trembling, his heart racing and seeking nothing more than an escape. But paradoxically, he felt exalted by the evil-looking hero in front of him.
"Go. Away."
The short but venomous words were enough to make Theseus run as if the hounds of Hades were after him.
All the while under Magsarion's evil gaze.
Despite the near-death experience, the child had not given up on his new ideal. In fact, his determination had become even deeper.

Meanwhile, on Olympus a certain Goddess of Wisdom, who currently had a slender and curvaceous body, with long golden hair tied in a tight shock, with half-empty green eyes, was attentively observing the last battle of her little half-mortal brother Alcides…but instead, had her attention drawn to the Evil knight who faced him.
"Hmm….dark knight?...that description…fits one of Chiron's students…could he be the hero of the prophecy?...let's see…my long-awaited hero!"
The goddess proclaimed, without knowing, the cursed destiny of the hero who crossed her path.
