The Witcher – Uchiha Madara!

Chapter 209: Chapter 209 - Leaving Kaer Morhen.

[Chapter Size: 2200 Words.]

Third Person POV

Northern Mountains.

"I want you to take her to Aretuza as her sponsor." Madara said.

"Yes... But are you sure about this?" Yennefer asked as Madara nodded.

"Of course... money is not a problem." Madara said as he began to pull out some scrolls and removed several gold bars.

"This should be enough to pay for her education." He said.

"I'll enroll her, but I don't intend to stay in Aretuza... I'd leave her in Tissaia's hands." Yennefer said.

"And you plan to come with us then." Madara commented.

"Is that a problem?" She asked with eyes that said he might be offending her.

"No..." He simply said.

"Ciri needs a sorceress with her. Her powers are evolving far more than she can control." Madara said.

"I'll take that as an invitation, a forced one, but still an invitation." She commented.

"Anyway, I'll arrange things with the others, I'll let Isabela know she's going with you and Triss." Madara said.

"Alright, I'll organize a few things. The girl will struggle, after all, she has much to learn and will be behind the others, but if she's persistent, in two decades, she'll become a sorceress." Yennefer said, storing the gold to deliver to the school, affirming that she herself would be sponsoring Isabela.

Everyone thought Isabella wouldn't be very talented and Madara wouldn't argue, but he would still bet on the girl, seeing that everyone said she was hardworking.

In any case, Madara left the place and went to the rest of the group, while Ciri was talking about the dragons she saw through Madara's genjutsu.

Geralt was listening and giving his opinion on how he would never want to encounter a dragon in front of him, with Vesemir saying he still had no idea how to deal with them, and that Madara was a lunatic.

"You offend me like that, Vesemir." Madara said with an indifferent tone as he crossed his arms in front of the group.

"I say it again... There must have been more than 500 dragons in that place. Do you know what would happen to the continent if they suddenly started hunting, after what you did...?" Vesemir murmured.

"I just hit a few of them while I talked to others. It wasn't hard to escape them, and I managed to throw them off before leaving the northern mountains, so you can rest easy." Madara said.

Vesemir looked at him as he described all that madness while showing indifference to everything he'd done, which was unbelievable in the witcher's opinion.

"That was so cool! Totó was amazing too!" Ciri said, jumping on the Griffin standing there in the courtyard.

"..." Vesemir also looked at Ciri, wondering how she could act like that after seeing Madara's vision and the monsters that dragons are.

"They're young, Vesemir. Let them enjoy this age." Lambert commented.

"Besides, you could write about them, since I shared my conversation with that ancient dragon. You could write it down, I'm sure Mousesack will love to read about it when we go to Skellige." Madara said.

"You're going to Skellige?" Coen asked, a bit surprised.

"We're traveling across the continent. Obviously, we're going to the islands in the west, right, Geralt?" Madara asked, since he would have Ciri, Geralt, and Yennefer together.

"Of course." Geralt said in a dry tone.

"We're going to Skellige?! It's been so many years since I've been there..." Ciri shouted. The last time she was there was before meeting Madara, so she barely had any memories of the place.

"Anyway, I'll wait for the book..." Madara said to Vesemir, looking tired, as he walked toward the other two women sitting in a corner, listening to their conversation.

"Can I talk to Isabela?" Madara asked.

"Of course." Was all Triss said as she left to talk to Geralt and the other witchers, with Ciri playing on top of Totó, seeming to tell the girl how Madara had put him in danger up north.

"Hi..." She murmured, closing the book while still processing the atmosphere of shame.

"As you know... you're going to the witch school, right?" He began as she nodded, seeming happy and nervous at the same time.

She didn't know what she would find there, even though Triss and Yennefer had already told her a few things.

"You know I'm not as talented as they are, don't you?" She suddenly commented, as if a knife were piercing her heart.

"Yennefer said that, didn't she?" Madara asked.

Triss always spoke gently and with some caution not to hurt the girl's feelings when talking about her flaws—and they weren't physical... But Yennefer? She was completely different. She would say it straight to the girl's face, even if it broke her heart. Yennefer was too honest.

Isabela just nodded, looking downcast as she heard that.

"Even so, do you intend to give it your all?" He asked, as the girl looked at him for a moment with trembling hands, surprised to hear that.

"Yes... I will do my best." She said in a tearful tone.

"Great. Then go to Aretuza and give it your all, no matter how long it takes. You don't need much talent if you have the conviction to work hard." He said.

Despite his tone being the usual indifferent one, the words made the hunched girl open her eyes.

"Can I ask something?" She asked, changing the subject.

"Go ahead." Madara said in his usual dry tone.

"The sorceresses... said that you're going to sponsor me, and that I owe you a lot. I'm not saying I won't repay what you're doing for me, but... what do you intend to do?"

She wanted to know exactly what Madara wanted with her—his goals.

Madara found that quite reasonable. At the same time, he was slightly surprised.

After all, Isabela could speak more than she managed to when they first met. He found it good that she was getting better at communicating.

"We'll talk about that in the future. It's very likely that we'll have a kingdom that will require someone trustworthy at court. I'd like that person to be you, Isabela." He said, while she nodded, a bit surprised.

"A kingdom..."

It seemed strangely impossible, but coming from this person and what he was capable of doing—despite looking like a boy her age—left all the witchers and sorceresses present cautious.

Everyone indicated that Madara was far more powerful than anyone there, and as Ciri liked to tell Isabela, no one in this world could defeat Madara.

Not to mention the comments about the war in the south years ago.

"Anyway, we'll stay here for a few more days. Then we'll leave. Come talk to me about anything you want. And if I don't have the answer, then ask Triss or Yennefer, okay?" He said, as she nodded.

"Alright... Thank you anyway." She murmured, and Madara nodded before disappearing in a flash.

The days went by in Kaer Morhen. Coën, Lambert, and Vesemir would still stay at the castle to protect it.

Triss would leave together with Yennefer for Aretuza, taking Isabela, while Madara, Ciri, and Geralt would begin the journey where they would meet Yennefer later.

Everything seemed ready. The days passed and they left two days later.

But something happened—it didn't surprise Madara or the others who knew the situation in the East—

when three sorceresses appeared on horseback in front of Kaer Morhen.

There were at least twenty soldiers they had hired as personal guards along the way who were also there.

"Damn... They're here." Yennefer murmured from one of the high windows, before going down the stairs and finding everyone gathering in the main hall.

"I knew we were going to start having problems." Vesemir murmured, a bit concerned.

"I'll deal with them." Madara said simply, stepping alone through the front door the next moment.

"Wait! There are too many. You can't apply your illusion that easily." Yennefer murmured, as she had mentioned that to him once before.

"I'm stronger than before." He simply replied, moving toward the entrance as the sorceresses and guards tried to get the attention of whoever was in the castle.

They didn't even notice the figure running toward the walls, before touching the final stone and easily descending in their direction. With gasps of surprise, Madara landed in front of them.

The soldiers, tired of banging on the gates to get attention, immediately took a step back as they began to draw their swords, eyeing Madara.

The sorceresses looked at him stunned. Madara didn't know any of them.

But that... didn't matter.

"What do we have here?" He commented, as everyone stared at him, and the sorceresses whispered to each other in shock, recognizing the description and appearance.

"It's him..." one of them murmured.

"Yes. I am Madara Uchiha." He simply said, as if confirming an inevitable truth.

"Don't look into his eyes!" one of them shouted upon realizing who was standing there. Since much of Madara's abilities had been shared after the war, they knew his red eyes were dangerous to gaze into.

But it was already too late. His eyes activated the Mangekyō Sharingan, freezing everyone in place as he held his steady gaze.

In the next moment, they were all trapped in a genjutsu.

It was enough to place the entire group into an illusion that lasted only a few seconds, before Madara disappeared from the area and made his way back to the walls.

The group simply returned to normal the next moment, blinking their eyes.

"Let's go. There's nothing here." One of the sorceresses said, and everyone nodded, starting to leave the area.

Yennefer returned to the window to check the situation, seeing the group departing, then ran downstairs, still stunned.

"You... what did you do today?" She asked upon seeing Madara entering, in shock.

"It was easy. I simply gave them a false memory, like I did with you. To them, they came to the castle and found nothing unusual.

And I even managed to read and see their own memories in return, with suspicion about what's happening.

They mentioned my name during the sorceresses' meetings investigating Akatsuki... That proves Kaer Morhen is no longer safe. More of them will come." Madara said.

"But... Vesemir and the others? Won't they be in danger if they return?" Ciri murmured.

"It's a risk, yes. But they know how to take care of themselves. It's safer to maintain appearances than to let the information that we're here leak. That would be disastrous." Madara said, as everyone agreed.

"Let's prepare to leave immediately." Geralt said.

"Alright." He nodded. "We leave tomorrow." He said, making his decision clear.

"You seem so calm after what you just did..." Triss couldn't help but murmur, glancing at Yennefer.

She hadn't said anything. But the redhead was growing more and more cautious of Madara.

She had always heard of Madara's powers, but seeing firsthand his control—even over chaos users, whose minds are naturally fortified—was another story. In front of those eyes... they were nothing.

"That's because you didn't see what he did in the war. This is nothing." Was all Yennefer said, shrugging.

"Anyway, I'll seal both of your minds so no one can read them. At the same time, Isabela will be protected." Madara said.

"You intend to tamper with our minds?" Triss asked, not very confident.

"I'm not going to erase your memories or control them, only strengthen them, creating a seal so no one can read them. No one in this world can break it, not even a mage." He warned, while she still seemed cautious.

"Everyone here depends on this, Triss. Don't be petty." Yennefer said.

"You talk like this is something simple." Triss murmured.

But in the end, everyone began to prepare. Madara strengthened the minds of everyone there as he placed fuuinjutsu seals to protect them, creating a seal with his own Sharingan as he entered their minds.

No one in this world could break those seals, as far as Madara knew. Even chakra users from the other continent wouldn't be a problem for this, since they didn't seem to have knowledge of basic ninja techniques or fuuinjutsu.

Fuuinjutsu required knowledge and patience, and none of them seemed to possess that—at the same time, their jutsu were all focused on destruction, before Madara had eliminated all of them.

And so, the next day, the horses were ready. Only three witchers would remain at the castle, along with Totó, until Madara summoned him again—after all, traveling would be dangerous and drawing too much attention with a griffin flying down the road wasn't an option.

With a final gathering of everyone in front of the ready horses, they said their goodbyes and began their journey north, and from there, they would cross to the other side of the continent, passing through countries like Redania, Temeria, and then heading to the islands of Skellige.
