Chapter 222: Twisted spirits {222}
The following morning, as soon as Keitaro woke up feeling refreshed after his whole "enlightenment" phase, or whatever he would call it.
Shoko was still curled up on the bed, He took a moment to leave a note by her side indicating he was going to check something important, he did make sure to leave with some breakfast if she ever got hungry.
Plus he was only one curse energy spike away from her, if she needed him she could just spike up her curse energy and he would notice the shift in her curse energy and would immediately teleport to her.
So he was never truly too far away from her.
Akane in the meantime was just quite excited about her catch, she padded beside him as they prepared to examine the cursed creature that Akane had caught.
Hopefully, she gets to devour whatever curse energy was left from the spirit after the souls of all those girls were freed.
Just thinking about it got Akane salivating, the mere thought of it got her licking her lips.....There was nothing against it.
She was just a glutton and the idea of being fed a feast excited her to no end...maybe she will get enough Ce to grow another tail.
One day she will become an extremely powerful 9-tail fox, she could imagine it now, she would be like the queen of Shikigami.
With her fiery state, she could be considered the third strongest...maybe she was a bit delulu but who cares?
She had enough power to destroy a special grade curse, plus she could see and strike the soul, courtesy of her master of course.
She wonders if she will get a new ability after eating the rest of Shiva.
The one thing she did notice was the more part of the curse she ate, the more destructive her power became.
Her fiery now were extremely destructive and with her master's help, she could flames that could burn flames.
Now her goal was to make a fire construct.
One of these days, she, Akane, would become the bender of all the elements but until then, she shall master fire, then the next one should be something like air or earth, air if her master needs more speed....as if he lacked that.
Or Earth to help with his durability not really being the best.
She was curious, she wanted to know what it would be.
Keitaro entered a room in the house, opened his mouth, and said "Yeah, this can work as a study room"
"Akane, mind helping me set up the seals," He said looking at his Kitsune companion.
She smiled at him, she seemed giddy about helping him.
He and Akane begin setting up an array of seals and barriers. Keitaro carefully placed fourteen layers of protective barrier around the place, he was just being extra careful, sure he only needed like 4 of them.
With his efficiency, 4 Seal had enough power to restrain about anything not named Satoru Gojo....however, he was just being cautious.
He didnt want to underestimate the curse, plus the curse should had roughly 14 souls inside of it, so he placed a seal for each soul, just in case there was some BS loophole that could let the curse escape because not all of its soul was trapped.
He was a loophole abuser, however, that didnt mean he wanted to be at the receiving hand of loophole abuse. Akane observed each step closely, her tails twitching as if eagerly awaiting any excitement.
Finally, when Keitaro was done with all of his preparations, he positioned himself infront of a chair where he sat, he sat down on the chair, gazed at the curse trapped in the seal, then made the confrontation handset from Naruto and said.
"Kai"
Upon saying those words, the seal around the curse stopped releasing the reverse curse technique through the curse veins.
She was freed.
As soon as she was freed, she attempted to jump at Keitaro and kill him, however as she tried that, she noticed that she was incredibly slow.
She had no access to her curse techniques, nor her curse energy for that matter, every thing she attempted was stopped by the seals.
Keitaro casually gestured toward a chair set across from him. "You're welcome to sit," he said with a calm smile. The curse continued its rage, cursing at him, spitting threats of revenge, and promising his demise.
If Keitaro was not feeling like helping their soul find rest, her head would have probably been on the floor, his sword could do that job, very, very well.
He just waited for the curse to tire herself out, he waited for her fury to run its course.
After a bit the curse energy waned, its movement became sluggish and its voice was now hoarse from all the hateful outbursts.
When the creature's fury had finally subsided, Keitaro folded his hands his tone was now softer but it sounded like he was asking her if she had gotten it all out of her system "So," he finally said, as if to ask her if she was willing to cooperate., "how did you come to be, and what is it that drives you?"
The curse sneered at him, it wanted to just kill the man, after all, he was a man. But after an awkward pause and no other real options, it seemed to relent slightly, though Keitaro could tell she hated his gut.
"We are what remains of the forgotten. Fourteen souls, betrayed and executed, cast aside by those who claimed to protect justice," it hissed. "We want them, the mayor of this village, he must die, his disgusting bloodline must end with him"
