This Insane Demon Lord wants a normal life

Zephyr's Pov.

Hi guys, my name is Craig Humphrey and I'm your newly crowned Demon Lord or should I say newly reincarnated Demon Lord.

I know I must have gone overboard killing those guys but I was still dealing with the reincarnation process.

Even though I still think this is all a dream.

I just need to accept this is my reality now, a Demon Lord ruling over his own domain.

Isn't it nice?

I can be lazy all I like and no one would disturb me.

You may be wondering why I simply just accept this reality as my fate? Well i really don't have much to live.

This is quite the better life, not only am I some lord. I also have some fantasy type of powers.

And besides i don't have any connections with my past life. I simply abandoned my past self.

It took me a day to return back to my Domain.

What is it called again?

The Sendaya Castle of Dreams.

I basically rule over the Dreams and Shadows, the rest of my fellow Demon Lords have their domains they rule.

From what I learnt in this world, Hell is basically an superior realm merged with the human dimension.

The connection gave humanity the idea that we could be hunted down to boost their stats.

If I'm to be fair.

Humanity are the villains in this story. But what do I know.

In my past life, I had nothing….no wealth to my name, no friends, no girlfriend, no life.

Just a lonely trash suffering from Schizophrenia.

But even after my reincarnation, i don't think my death cured my Schizophrenia. I'm only able to control it.

Back then, I had no control over the hallucinations I felt.

It was terrifying.

Right now I'm in my chambers, reading some books about this world. If I must survive in this world.

I need to know everything.

I did learn a few things while spending a whole five days sleeping my chambers. The power system of this world is as complexed as it could get.

And basically if I could do what was written in the books I read. Then I can say I'm in my nerfed version.

Or basically, i don't know how to do shit.

Knock! Knock!

Zephyr who was focused on the book he is reading, heard a knock on the door, his attention drifted towards the direction of the door.

Resting his body on the king sized bed.

"Who's there?" He asked.

"My Lord. It's I, the chief maid Sizzy….I'm here with the books as you requested" a feminine voice was heard from the other side of the door.

Zephyr sighed.

"Come in" He stated.

The door drifted open and a unicorn horned figure walked into the scene, red haired and goth skinned.

Grey eyed. Even though she tried suppressing it, her demonic Starlight Energy emanated freely.

Clad in a black and white maiden uniform.

She wore a bright smile, bowing her head before the Demon Lord.

Walking into the room, still smiling sheepishly.

She approached the desk and had the books she brought along dropped, they were all arranged on the wooden table beside the bed.

Demon Lord Zephyr watched in reticence.

"What do you say your name is again?" He asked, slowly getting up from the bed.

He noticed a change in her attitude, standing before the mighty Demon Lord. She was engulfed in fear.

"Demon Lord sir, my name is Sizzy" She spoke out.

She quickly went down on her knees and bowed her head before him.

"Sizzy huh? You're a demon right?" Zephyr asked. With just a glance, he could tell the level of this demon.

She's no ordinary demon, probably an elite ranked demon.

Sizzy's brows curled up. Puzzled by the question of the Demon Lord.

"Ofcourse I'm a demon, I'm from the single horned tribe in the Darma Village under your Fiefdom"

"We the people of the Razakai Demonic Tribe are your loyal servants" Sizzy declared.

"Darma Village and Razakai Demonic Tribe huh? So many names"

"Well not that it matters, I have a questions tho" Zephyr said.

"My Lord. I'm your servant, please ask me any question" Sizzy said.

"Well I could read about the power systems of this world and about my domain but I'm too lazy to do that"

"So tell me, what is an Authority?" Zephyr asked.

This is a question that he needs an answer for, Zephyr remembered making use of strange abilities five days ago.

Those abilities were overpowered.

Even though he had no idea what they were, with the memories of the fallen Demon Lord Zephyr. He was able to utilize them.

If he must thrive in this world, he needs all the knowledge of this world.

"Ummm shouldn't you know the answer already?" Sizzy asked.

Zephyr scratched his hair.

"Well I do know the answer but I want you to explain it to me in a simplified version" Zephyr lied.

"Is that so? Then I will do the honors and answer your question"

"Well as the chief maid in charge of taking care of the Demon Lord's needs, I'm opportuned to a certain knowledge"

"Authorities are concepts given to every single creature in this world, all races are given the ability to awaken an Authority"

"Concepts which grants an individual supernatural ability which transcends a certain law of the world"

"But race varies when it comes to the certain force owned by Authorities"

"Like the demon race are all given dark attributed Authorities, and we refer to them as demonic arts"

" Authorities are divided into two groups.

Sequences are Concepts which controls the physical world"

"Utopian controls the spiritual world, manipulation of mind, reality itself and spatial perception"

"Sequences are fractionated into different categories but explaining it will be much of a hassle"

"The demon race are much of the Utopian group including myself"

"I'm a Spellcrafter, a witch whose influence over reality is great" Sizzy said.

"Hmmm….I see, well that's good"

"From just observing me. What do you think my group is?" Zephyr curiously asked.

"I dare not answer your question but if you insist. I must say my Lord, the Demon Lords are entities beyond laws"

"While everyone else is restricted to a certain group. Demon Lords are exempted from such laws"

"Demon Lords possesses both the two groups and Lord over the Authorities in their possession"

"You are the Demon Lord of Dreams and Nightmares"

"The Architect of Shadows"

"Your Authorities over shadows, Dreams and Nightmares transcends all" Sizzy stated.

"Hmmm, that's true….I felt my powers back then, they were on a different level"

"But if this body is really that strong, why was a Demon Lord killed in the first place? Why weren't my servants there to protect me?"

"It seems I need to investigate why an overpowered Demon Lord like Zephyr fell to the hands of humans"

"I need to make sure I don't repeat the same mistake again" Zephyr thought.

He exhaled a sigh.

"You can take your leave now, I'll be busy now" Zephyr said, he made his way towards the wooden table.

Staring down, he could see the books Sizzy brought.

He grabbed a book from the table, the book entails the truth regarding Authorities and their concepts.

He noticed Sizzy's presence behind him.

"Is there a problem? You're still here" He spoke out.

"Yes my liege. I deliberated to relay you this message because you were busy but you have been summoned"

Sizzy uttered.

Zephyr's brows curled up.

"Huh? I've been summoned? By who?" Zephyr questioned.

"Six days ago, the Demon Lord Zephyr disappeared from the Sendaya Castle. He took not a single guard"

"And he went into the human realm without the notice of anyone. Five days ago, a report came to the House"

"A report which revealed your death"

"Back then it was reported that you were killed by a group of mortal heroes known as the Five Fingers"

"It was shocking and we doubted it at first. But we tried to contact you, your silence certified the rumors"

"And just when we were about to conclude your death. You returned back to the Castle five years ago"

"Debunking the ongoing rumors regarding our death"

"While many are glad that the Demon Lord of Dreams and Nightmares is back. A few are not happy"

Sizzy explained.

"A few are not happy?" Zephyr asked.

"Yes. There are those who wish to usurp the throne of the Demon Lord and take his place"

"Those who question your dominance over Azaroth"

"They believe the Demon Lord is dead and you're a fake"

"This is why you have been summoned"

Sizzy elucidated.

"Well that's true tho, the real Demon Lord Zephyr Dreaming is dead. I'm just a normal human reincarnated into his body"

"But I cannot tell her that right?" Zephyr asked himself.

He cleared his throat.

"Sizzy, what do you think is the truth?" Zephyr asked.

Sizzy fell on her knees, she bowed her head before the Demon Lord Zephyr.

"I believe in your existence. You're are the Demon Lord Zephyr, the unstoppable Lord of Hell"

"One who makes the Seven Princes of Hell cower in fear"

Sizzy spoke out.

Zephyr careesed his jaw, a lopsided grin appeared on his lips. 

Just then his eyes widened in shock.

A virtual glowing panel appeared right before his eyes, Zephyr was left puzzled and a systematic voice echoed.

{You have been summoned before the Court of Dreams, ascertain your dominance over the Council of Hell}

{And kill the rebellious demons}

{Penalty: Death!!}

{You have eight hours to complete your mission}

{Timer starts now}

"Wasn't I suppose to live a normal and happy life after my reincarnation? What the hell is this?"

"Is this a system sent by the Adminstrators to control me?"
