Chapter 11: Favored by Fate
Phew...
In the dimly lit nursery, a Saiyan pierced Broly's body with a sharp weapon, causing crimson blood to spray all over the floor.
"So, it was you, Sirus. What did you see?"
Turning around, the Saiyan holding the weapon looked at Yuujin with a bloodthirsty expression.
The moment their eyes met, Yuujin felt his scalp tingle as if he had fallen into an icy hell.
"I didn't see anything."
Suppressing the urgency and fear in his heart, Yuujin spoke calmly, then picked up a cleaning tool and began to mop up the blood on the ground.
"Smart kid."
After a playful glance at Yuujin, the Saiyan with the weapon withdrew his killing intent, grabbed Broly's "corpse," and walked out.
As the nursery door closed, Yuujin, drenched in cold sweat, nearly collapsed, the tool in his hand clattering to the ground.
That Saiyan must have been ordered by King Vegeta to eliminate Broly. Broly's father, Paragus, had likely already been killed too!
As the Super Saiyan, a phenomenon that only appears once in a thousand years in Saiyan history, Yuujin originally planned to take Broly with him, but it seemed impossible now.
If everything followed the original trajectory of Dragon Ball, perhaps Broly could awaken her potential and escape before this planet's destruction.
Slapping his face to wake himself up, Yuujin reminded himself that there was no time to think further; more than two minutes had already passed, and his time was running out!
Lifting Kakarot, Yuujin sprinted once more towards the launch pad for the spacecraft.
Kakarot, who was asleep, was shaken awake. Upon seeing Yuujin, she blinked and promptly fell back asleep.
Rushing to the launch pad, Yuujin found several spacecraft ready with open doors. He quickly placed Kakarot inside one, secured the life-support system, shut the hatch, and leapt into a neighboring spacecraft.
"Damn Sirus! He dared to deceive us!"
"He's trying to escape! Don't let him get away!"
"Kill him! Kill him now!"
The pursuit began sooner than Yuujin expected, with a group of furious Saiyans closing in. Hastily securing his own life-support system, Yuujin slammed the hatch shut just in time.
The leading Saiyan fired several energy blasts at the spacecraft, and in that life-or-death moment, Yuujin's eyes turned red with desperation—
Move! Move already!!!
Just as the energy blasts were about to hit, the spacecraft, like a giant baseball, finally roared to life, streaking skyward with long fiery trails.
"Damn it, chase them!"
Cursing, the Saiyans hurriedly jumped into other spacecraft to pursue, only for a series of explosions to erupt, throwing them back as their ships blew apart.
In the control room, the Saiyan named Nappa was on the verge of losing his mind.
"That damn brat, he tricked me! He actually tricked me!"
"Lord Nappa, Sirus input a self-destruct command. All the ships except for the two that escaped have exploded."
"Damn it! Are there no other ships?"
"The others won't be ready to launch until tomorrow at the earliest."
"Then tomorrow, lock onto their escape route. Even if they flee to the ends of the universe, bring them back!"
"Yes, sir!"
Being deceived by an insect he could crush a hundred times over with a single finger was a humiliation beyond belief. Grabbing the communicator, Nappa roared furiously:
"Sirus, you can't escape! You won't get away!"
Meanwhile, onboard his spacecraft now soaring into space, Yuujin smirked coldly and turned off the communicator.
It's not me who can't escape—it's you!
This planet Vegeta has no tomorrow left!
For years, Yuujin had prepared for this escape plan. Fleeing too early would draw other Saiyans in pursuit, bringing disaster to Earth. Escaping too late would mean perishing with the planet.
Timing was crucial, and there was only one chance!
Although the situation was incredibly dangerous, he succeeded!
However, Yuujin wasn't relaxed just yet. The blinking warning lights in the spacecraft showed that they were being tracked by other ships.
With his own eyes, he could see a massive spaceship looming not far away in space. If Yuujin remembered correctly, aboard that ship was none other than Frieza's brother, Cooler!
Having come this far, Yuujin could do nothing more but close his eyes.
Whether Cooler would let them go, like in the original Dragon Ball, or attack them—whether they would live or die—was all up to fate now...
"Lord Salza, we've detected two fleeing Saiyan brats."
"Saiyan brats?"
"Yes, they seem to be heading toward a remote planet called Earth. Should we shoot them down?"
Inside the massive spaceship, a controller reported to a short-haired man named Salza. Just as Salza was about to give the order to attack, a voice interrupted:
"Let them go."
Cold and commanding, a figure descended from the throne, and the others quickly bowed—
"Lord Cooler."
"This area belongs to Frieza. Let him deal with the seeds he's sown. We need to suppress seven planets by today."
"Even though they're just children, letting two Saiyans escape delayed the plan to exterminate all Saiyans and secure this region. It's all because of Frieza's arrogance. My brother is still quite naïve..."
Looking at Yuujin and Kakarot on the screen, Cooler's expression was filled with disdain.
Out in the starry sky, the two spacecraft carrying Yuujin and Kakarot flew beyond the range of the massive ship's weapons, and the warning lights inside their ships stopped flashing.
Opening his eyes, Yuujin sighed in relief, a smile appearing on his face.
After all the dangers, they had truly escaped this time!
"It seems fate still favors us…"
"Kakarot, let's embrace our true lives!"
With long trails of energy behind them, the two spacecraft swiftly disappeared into the cosmos...
Meanwhile—
On Planet Vegeta, the escape pod carrying the sleeping Seripa began its countdown.
5... 4... 3... 2... 1...
Boom, boom, boom...
With a burst of flames, the escape pod smashed through the roof and shot into the sky…
To be continued...
