Chapter 5: Super Saiyan
"Next, Kakarot."
A tester impatiently called out, while Yuujin carried the still finger-biting Kakarot over.
Placed on the examination table, the little one curiously looked around, and soon her combat potential was displayed on the screen.
"Only 2 points?!"
"Tch, is this Bardock's daughter? Another useless Saiyan has been born!"
Seeing the glaring "2" on the screen, everyone in the test room, except for Yuujin, showed expressions of disdain.
The lowest combat potential recorded in Saiyan history was 4 points. Yuujin himself had almost hit that low limit. Now, Kakarot had broken that record by two points!
"Waaah… waaah…"
Sensing the disgust and hostility from others, Kakarot, who was on the table, pouted and started crying loudly.
Ignoring the disgusted looks around him, Yuujin calmly picked up Kakarot and comforted her.
This little one really was just like in the original Dragon Ball series—only 2 points of combat potential, an embarrassingly low number for a Saiyan warrior.
But so what if it's 2 points? With enough hard training, one can still become stronger. Kakarot's future potential is something none of these people can possibly judge!
"Next, Broly!"
As the tester called, Yuujin put Kakarot down and picked up the quiet Broly, who had been standing off to the side.
This should really open their eyes, Yuujin thought to himself.
Following the same procedure, Broly was seated on the examination table, and the tester began checking her combat potential.
At first, they were just trying to finish quickly, but what shocked everyone was the rapidly jumping number on the screen. The final result almost made their eyes pop out—
"1... 10,000 points!!"
"That's impossible! The device must be broken!"
"Test again! Run it again!"
Feeling it was too absurd to believe, no one accepted the result. The lead Saiyan tester shouted angrily, and the team quickly checked the equipment and retested Broly.
But the result was still the same—10,000 points!
"There's nothing wrong with the equipment..."
"10,000 points... it's really 10,000..."
"Incredible! Even Princess Vegeta doesn't have such a high combat potential!"
Unable to deny the reality, the testers swallowed nervously, utterly overwhelmed by the shock.
"Someone, report this to King Vegeta at once! Another super genius has appeared among the Saiyans!"
"No, I'll go personally!"
The lead tester finally came to his senses, his eyes gleaming with excitement.
As he left the room, his battle aura flared, and he shot into the sky like a rocket.
The news spread quickly. Before long, another figure surrounded by battle aura flew in, smashing through the doors in their hurry to enter the test room.
It was a muscular Saiyan man, ignoring everyone else in the room. Upon confirming Broly's combat potential, he excitedly picked her up, laughing heartily.
"It's really 10,000 points!"
"The legend is true—every thousand years, a Super Saiyan appears in Saiyan history!"
"As expected of my daughter, Broly! Amazing! Haha!"
The man was Paragus, Broly's father, and a powerful Saiyan warrior.
Saiyans are a ruthless and cold race, and most Saiyan warriors don't care much for family or affection. If it weren't for Broly's 10,000 points of combat potential, Paragus likely wouldn't have even come to see her.
Yuujin, used to such things, quietly carried Kakarot back to the nursery.
Paragus was still celebrating, oblivious to the danger looming over him and his daughter.
If Broly had been born into the royal family, she would undoubtedly have received immense attention and training, and perhaps could even become the queen of the Saiyan race one day. But unfortunately, she wasn't born royal—her father, Paragus, was just a low-class warrior.
The equally cold and ruthless King Vegeta would never allow anyone to outshine his brilliant daughter or threaten his rule!
Sure enough, soon after, orders from King Vegeta arrived, strictly forbidding anyone from spreading the news about Broly. Paragus was also summoned to the palace.
Not long after, Broly was brought back, already fast asleep, completely unconcerned.
Unlike other rowdy children, Broly rarely cried or fussed. She either slept or sat quietly with a serious expression, as if constantly contemplating life.
Gently patting Broly's head, Yuujin sighed, thinking about the fate that might await her.
But he had no time to worry about others—he himself was in a precarious position.
Now that Kakarot and Broly were born, and with Broly's immense combat potential revealed, it was clear that the day Frieza would destroy this planet was drawing near!
Yuujin had no intention of warning anyone about Frieza's plan to destroy Planet Vegeta. Bardock's fate in the original story was proof enough—no one would believe him.
Moreover, given his status on this planet, if he dared speak ill of Frieza, it would be nothing short of signing his own death warrant.
This planet is doomed, and the Saiyans will be wiped out. Yuujin couldn't save them, nor did he plan to. His only concern was escaping before the planet was destroyed.
Having prepared for this day for a long time, he could only hope everything would go smoothly when the time came.
Finishing his tasks for the day, Yuujin returned home.
Unlike when he left that morning, things in his house had been moved, and he could hear water running in the bathroom.
That woman had returned!
