To be a Viltrumite (Dc)

Chapter 12: The might of Thragg

Flying next to Ursall. I wince a bit at the numerous corpses littering the ground of numerous destroyed cities. Smoke billows into the once clear sky showing the pure destruction caused.

50+ Viltrumites caused all this damage to a massive planet with unmatched tech. Imagine if the whole species invaded. Scary shit.

I grimace as I spot a bright explosion in the distance. Ursall seems to fly in the direction of the explosion prompting me to follow a bit reluctantly

"Who did you fight?" I ask hoping to break the... unspoken tension in the air.

Ursall exhales from her nose before speaking.

"I fought numerous Gelderian warriors alongside my brother Onaan. Who was critically injured. He's now resting on the warship." I blink. Onaan got hurt badly? How many were they fighting?

"How many is numerous?"

"15"

I feel my eyes bug a bit. Just 5 of those guys were giving me a bit of trouble. Not that I wouldn't have won without the general's interference cause I would've. But I doubt my chances against 15 of them.

I mean they were together. But Ursall looks pretty beat up and Onaan was hurt enough to be in critical care. So my odds against 15 have to be immensely low.

I spot a glimmer on the horizon. My vision finally spotted something far away. A huge Tech jacket. Easily 30 meters tall with a huge ass laser sword swings in a blur. Almost too fast for me to follow as I spot a blurry figure maneuvering between each stab.

My eyes make out the familiar red garb. Lord Thragg. He's fighting this behemoth. I can tell it's been going on for a while, or atleast he's been fighting a bunch of them by himself. If the numerous huge corpses on the ground are any indicator. I get a glimpse of Lord Thragg's tattered clothes. His exposed skin showed little to no injury despite the fact.

He moves like a wraith. I blink as he straight up punches against the laser sword and sends it tipping backward before he closes the distance.

He slams right through the massive tech jacket. Blood covered his entire body. Blood that isn't his. He looks on at the falling figure coldly before noticing Ursall and me approaching.

I resist the Urge to bow. He looks less like a Viltrumite and more like a demon straight out of hell. Especially covered in alien blood. His eyes shone a cold light.

His eyes move to Ursall. Softening the smallest bit. But less out of parental care or anything and probably more out of pride. Then he turns to me and raises an eyebrow. He looks impressed.

"Ah, it seems you lived. I made sure no one went to the same vicinity as you to see if you were capable of holding your own. Seems like the one you fancy isn't weak like I thought, Ursall." I almost take offense to Thragg's words but hold my tongue. Remembering who the fuck im looking at I immediately calm myself

"I've been handling the Gelderians' toys this whole time. That one was the 30th I've slaughtered. Their king should be arriving anytime now. Tell me, Vergil. Do you wish to see where your regent stands?" Thragg asks me as I blink before slowly nodding.

He hums. Right on cue. A massive blue beam shines behind us. It briefly makes my friend and me shield our eyes. Just from here I can feel the heat of it. The feeling of incineration if I came into contact with it.

"You bastard Thragg!"

A voice yells from the clearing smoke furiously. Thragg crosses his arms. His grand regent cloak billowing in the wind as I and Ursall backed up a bit. This is his fight, not ours.

Out from the dust emerges a Tech jacket wearer. But I immediately can tell he's different. Despite the average appearance and size. The energy radiating off his suit sends shivers down my spine. On his head is a green crown of sorts. A big red cape billowing on his back. A large energy sword in his hand.

"Looks like you came, I expected you to flee with the civilians you evacuated. Seems you Gelderians do have some spine after all." Thragg's voice is cold. The Gelderian king growls audibly as the tension rises.

One moment he and Thragg were staring each other down. Next they were exchanging blows higher in the air. Each exchange produced a Shockwave that made my growing hair billow in the wind.

I can't keep up. That's what I note immediately. I see some flashes and the occasional afterimage. But they're moving too fast for me to see.

'Shit... am I just a cannon fodder Viltrumite?' My thoughts come with some annoyance but I look to Ursall. She also seems to be struggling to keep up with the confrontation.

'No, this Gelderian and Lord Thragg are just different monsters. No wonder the Gelderians have gone untouched for so long. If this guy is making Thragg try then he likely could body any other Viltrumite alive... Including Conquest.'

Slightly the calm Invincible pedestal I've mentally put the Viltrumites on wavers a bit. Are we really unmatched throughout the Universe or are we just very strong with an overpowered leader?

The two powerhouses pause before the sun itself is shot at Thragg. Instead of dodging like any other Viltrumite would've. Thragg flies right through the superheated laser and punches the Gelderian king hard.

I spot a dent in the Armor of the king. But it seems to quickly repair itself before the two engage in another bout of insane speed CQC

I note one thing as my eyes were once unable to keep up. Slowly gain a bit of clarity the more I'm exposed to such speeds. Thragg has been getting hit a lot. But everything seems virtually incapable of harming him.

Viltrumites are known for their 'Invulnerable' bodies. But we all bleed. And get injured. But Thragg... he may be fucking Invincible.

When stabbed with the laser sword? It breaks on his fucking skin. The laser sword I know would cut through me like butter. Breaks on Thraggs fucking skin.

The laser beams that make the sun's heat feel like a warm breeze? He flies right through them. Unharmed. The blows that produce heavy Shockwaves and would break my bones and probably any other Viltrumites? Shrugged off, I can feel the entire area quaking under one of the Glederian kings punches yet Thragg...

Is he a fucking mutant? Is he even Viltrumite anymore? This durability isn't natural even for us. What made him? My sperm donor is older than him by a couple of thousand years so it isn't age.

So how is he built so differently?

"Father was genetically altered to be the strongest Viltrumite alive." Ursall. Apparently reading my mind speaks up. As we watch the Regent in awe.

"What?"

"He wasn't born the traditional way. He has numerous Genetic parents. Some of the Strongest Viltrumites in history compose of his Parentage. When Lord Argall died without a known heir. Assassinated by the lanterns. The Viltrumites desperately needed a powerful leader. So they made my father."

I nod, but that still doesn't explain this level of Bullshit durability. Maybe he is a mutant. That makes him far more durable or something?

I cringe as I see Thragg bend the Gelderian King's arm at an awkward angle. Looks like he's slowly gaining the upper hand.

I watch in disbelief as the Gelderian king in a bout of desperation stabs his sword at Lord Thragg's eyes. Instead of them being destroyed Thragg just flinches back briefly. His eyes are still intact.

"A Pathetic attempt." The Regent mutters before slamming a heavy blow into the Gelderian's exposed face.

The explosion of force from the blow makes me cringe in annoyance. He's just way too overpowered. A stab to the eye only irritated him? What the fuck.

The Gelderian King is sent flying high into the sky. The three of us follow him easily with our enhanced eyesight as I slowly pick up his frustrated voice.

"You damn Viltrumite! I'll turn you to dust! Crush your people beneath my sole and eat your children!" The King is clearly losing his cool. I almost relate to him but not really. The eating kids thing is weird. Probably a Gelderian thing? Not like there's any kid Viltrumites right now I'm pretty sure I'm the youngest (A/N for now 😉😉- kidding- or am I?)

"Surrender here and I'll make your end quick, and as courtesy we won't hunt down the fleeing members of your race aswell." Thraggs voice takes on a diplomatic tone as I raise an eyebrow. That's weirdly nice of him? We'll as nice as a Genocidal God-like alien can be.

"YOU! IM SICK AND TIRED OF YOU SPEAKING LIKE MY FATE IS IN YOUR HANDS!"

Suddenly the entire planet, or atleast the area were in. Begins to rumble. I look around warily as me and Ursall draw close in preparation for an attack.

The Gelderian Ruler begins to glow as blinding radiant blue. His suit seems to be changing. I narrow my eyes to look through the blinding light.

"IF YOU WISH TO END MY PEOPLE AND SELL OUR PLANET TO THE REACH! THEN ILL MAKE SURE THERES NO PLANET TO SELL YOU DAMNED VILTRUMITE"

The man says the word Viltrumite like it's a slur. I grimace before realization dawns upon me.

"Is he going to destroy the planet..?"
