Torn between passion and power

Samuel couldn't take it anymore, he was always arguing with Suzzy since he was a jealous type, and any attention Suzzy gave to someone apart from him, turned into something else, he left campus when he had an argument with Suzzy for talking to the captain of the football team, he went straight to the club and that's where Belinda paved her way through their relationship. Since she couldn't get closer to Samuel he made the bartender do it, Samuel didn't drink much but he was dizzy all of a sudden, the next morning he woke up to see himself in an unfamiliar place, and a woman next to him.

" Good morning, crazy night." The woman said

Samuel frowned when he saw and heard the woman;

" You! What are you doing here? Where am I?" Samuel exclaimed

Belinda scoffed when she heard Samuel's angry voice;

" You drag me to your bed and now, you're acting ignorant. Good job Samuel wait till our family finds out about it, and Suzzy."

Samuel ran cold when he heard Suzzy's name, he couldn't believe he'd cheated on her out of jealousy. Samuel chocked Belinda with his hand;

" You are not telling anyone, got it, it was a mistake."

" S-Samuel, I can't breathe, you're hurting me."

Samuel let go of her neck, he dressed up to leave this place and he had to make sure Suzzy never found out. How childish of him to be jealous.

" Remember, don't you dare inform Suzzy," Samuel warned her"

He held the doorknob, and opening the door he froze, what is she doing here?

" Suzzy?" Samuel ran cold

" Babe, who's that?" Belinda said with a mischievous smirk.

She wrapped herself with the duvet and walked toward Samuel, her seeing Suzzy she pretended to be surprised

" S- Suzzy, it's not what you think,"

" How dare you?" A slap landed on Samuel's face.

" I-'m sorry ."

" you're sorry, how long has this been going on?"

" No, it's only today," Samuel said

Suzzy chuckled ;

" You decided to cheat on me starting today? Let's end everything, Samuel."

"No! I refuse. I refuse to end everything, Suzzy."

" Samuel didn't want to admit it, but as time went by, I decided to leave Italy on my own without informing anyone."

Avery hugged her friend, she didn't even know Suzzy had been through a lot;"

No matter what happens, I'll support you."

Avery spent the night at her friend's apartment, sleeping soundly, her phone rang, she didn't want to answer it but she had to;

" Hello?" she said with a sleepy voice

"You're late!" Alex growled

" Can I get a day off?" Avery asked,

"No! Be here or else" Alex didn't continue because he knew Avery knew the rest.

Avery scoffed and hung up, some boss she has. She took her bath, luckily she had some personal stuff at Suzzy's house.

She reached the company thirty minutes later, and she was waiting for the elevator when she heard someone calling her from behind.

" Avery? What are you doing here?" Dr Charles asked

Dr Charles is the doctor who is assigned to treat her mother, Avery smiled at him,

"Hello, Dr. I work here."

Charles chortle;

" Why don't we drop the formalities, you can call me by my first name."

Avery nodded her head, the elevator opened for her to enter, but surprisingly Charles followed her.

" Which floor are you heading to?" Avery asked

" The 13th floor"
