Training the Yandere Villain into a Henpecked Husband

Chapter 4: The Great Plan

"Host, why are you pretending to have amnesia?"

The system had been watching over while Lilican was asleep, so it saw everything that transpired.

From the dragon's initial reaction, the world-ending outburst, and the holy priest who was dragged to perform a useless healing, the system saw it all.

As the host's extra pair of eyes and ears, it also narrated everything that happened to the host's consciousness while the host was asleep. The system had done this operation so many times in past missions that at this point, it was confident enough to start its own radio drama.

Hearing Lilican's first words after waking, the system was confused. There was no need for Lilican to act like he had lost his memory since the system had already given all of the original owner's memories to Lilican. Even more, the system also showed the plot to its host, so not only did the host know about the past, but he also knew the future.

"This is all part of the great plan," Lilican answered in his mind.

"What great plan? How come I didn't know?"

Instead of answering, Lilican said, "Just wait and see."

To the others in the room, he looked as if he was listening attentively to the holy priest. But when the holy priest finished his long explanation, Lilican blinked his innocent eyes once, twice, then tilted his head to the side.

He scanned the faces of everyone in the room, finally landing on the Evil Dragon, who had been staring at him all this time.

Cilestras was very tall in his human form, towering over everyone in the room, which was not surprising since his dragon form must be huge as well. He had long, black hair that draped over his back, framing a face so otherworldly handsome that Lilican would not have dared to look straight at him if not for his strong mentality.

Under the Evil Dragon's unwavering golden eyes, Lilican said, "I don't understand."

Serizain instantly felt bad. He talked for minutes nonstop, pulled every knowledge from his reserve, explained even the obscure theories, all while enduring the Evil Dragon's pressure.

He did all that, but the Queen said he didn't understand. Then why did he bother?

If this man weren't the Queen, he would've wanted to pull his silver hair and see if there was anything inside his head.

Breiroc was also feeling uncomfortable. He still hadn't found out why the Queen was injured in the first place, and now, more problems needed to be solved. He could see his leisurely life waving goodbye.

As none of the creatures in the room spoke, Lilican drooped his head.

The human said nothing as he pulled on the front of his shirt. A single touch let Lilican know that it was made from pure silk, the expensive kind. He couldn't stop the small smile on his face, satisfied with every display of wealth he'd seen so far.

But when he raised his head, his expression was replaced with one that could make even the most hard-hearted man feel pity. His mouth was in a slight pout, almost quivering, and his sapphire eyes were red-rimmed from holding back the unshed tears.

In Cilestras's eyes, Lilican was like a small animal, scared to be abandoned by its beloved master.

"Am I stupid? Do you despise me?" Lilican asked in a soft voice, almost a whisper.

"It doesn't matter," said Cilestras, trying to imitate the way he heard humans speak. "As long as you know that you are my wife, and I am your husband."

"Okay, husband." Lilican gave a shy smile, and when he blinked, the tears that were hanging on his long lashes rolled down his cheek. He looked so fragile yet so strong, like a flower that barely bloomed after overcoming all the difficulties.

He tilted his body forward, closer to where the dragon was standing by his bed. If before he was silently begging not to be abandoned, then now he fully displayed the word "dependence" from his face to his body language.

He was so obedient, so well-behaved, that Cilestras was so satisfied with this newly-acquired wife.

But the system was not satisfied. "Host, he avoided answering your question. He called you stupid! He despised you! Let's kill him!"

Lilican sighed silently in his mind. He patiently explained to his system, "How many points are we going to spend if we want to kill a dragon? How many points will we get as a reward? You do the math. We'll be operating at a loss. We can use those points to buy something for you. Didn't you say you wanted a corporeal form like the other systems?"

"But host, he can't insult you like that." The system was still indignant.

"Be patient. This is all part of the great plan."

While Lilican was placating his system, Breiroc pulled Serizain out.

This was not something that outsiders should see. Look at him, an elf who knew how to take the initiative to leave. He was so amazing. He knew how to read the mood, unlike the human who kept watching the show.

Serizain wanted to struggle at first, not wanting to touch the dark elf who tied him up and flew him to this castle. When he realized that he was being escorted out, he walked even faster than Breiroc.

What a joke! Who would want to stay here?

When Lilican saw that only he and the dragon were left, he continued acting.

"Husband, my head hurts," said Lilican as he brought a hand to his forehead, touching the wound that was no longer there.

"Host, the other side," System 948 reminded him.

Lilican moved his hand like nothing happened. "Am I dying?"

"You are not dying. This Great One will not let you," said Cilestras, but there was no confidence in his voice.

He took a step towards the bed, trying to reach a hand to touch his wife, but he pulled it back at the last second.

He was so strong, and his wife was so weak. What if he couldn't control his strength and something happened again?

Cilestras didn't dare to think about it.

There was that emotion again, the one that Cilestras didn't like. It would appear whenever he thought that his wife would die, and he could do nothing about it. He never thought that one day a dragon like him would be powerless.

Lilican narrowed his eyes when he saw the dragon hesitating. Very good, he thought, the first part of the plan was successful.

"Husband, what should I call you?"

"This Great One is Cilestras, the Black Dragon, the most powerful among the True Immortals. Now, I am also the Husband of Lilican Sungrove."

"Then, husband, can you grant me a wish?"
