Transcended into the World of One Punch Man

Chapter 4: ‏Psychological torture‏

I felt a powerful earthquake in this dark place, as if the world around me shook under the weight of an indescribable force.

Suddenly, a giant fissure appeared, and from it emerged a black coffin, inscribed with strange words in red, resembling the color of blood.

The darkness enveloped me, but those inscriptions glimmered as if they pulsated with life, sending a shiver through my body, a mix of terror and astonishment.

Then the devil spoke, seated on his dark throne, his voice deep and frightening.

His words bore a cruel authority as he said, "Psychological torment can sometimes be more powerful and severe than physical pain."

I didn't fully understand the meaning behind his words, but the sense of danger crept deep within me, like a thin thread of fear.

The black coffin opened slowly, as if time had stopped for a moment.

When I looked inside, I saw an indescribable sight; the lifeless body of my little brother Ethan, who had not yet turned twelve, lay there in dreadful silence.

His eyes were missing, as if the darkness of this place had swallowed them.

His intestines were torn, and his body was pale, as if he had endured prolonged torture that no heart could bear.

Half of his left leg was severed and placed over his body, while his neck was torn open, leaving only blood and bones in view.

I fell to the ground in shock, tears streaming from my eyes without my realizing.

I couldn't speak, nor could I believe what I had seen.

All this happened because of your failure, Akumaro. Those words echoed in my mind like a taunting cry, resonating deep within my soul.

"Did you think I was joking when I said I would torture you with greater torment if you failed this mission?

Because of you, your younger brother is dead, he died screaming in pain; I ripped out his insides while he was still alive.

His cries were so annoying that I crushed his throat."

All this was because of you, Akumaro.

Every mission you fail will raise the level of torture, and it will be more painful.

I glared at the devil with hatred before he spoke again.

"Remember, you still have a sister and a mother, so don't talk nonsense about not carrying out anything I ask.

You know what I can do, Akumaro."

What is this? Could he have read my thoughts?

I lowered my head and stared at the ground, blaming myself for what had happened, for the failure that haunted me like a shadow.

I rose from my place, and unconsciously, I screamed and charged at him.

I wasn't thinking about what I could do against a devil.

I fell on my face, unable to take another step forward.

After a while, I realized that both my feet had been severed, and I remained in shock, not feeling any pain for a moment.

Ahhh! I screamed loudly as I succumbed to my weeping.

I felt nothing but psychological and physical pain, and I began to surrender to despair.

"You are reckless, Akumaro! Do you think someone like trash could approach me even for a step?

My conversation with you is the greatest honor you've had in your entire life, to be spoken to by a being like me, trash like you."

Those words echoed in my mind, reminding me of the magnitude of the failure I was living, and the darkness that surrounded me on all sides.

I couldn't withstand any longer; I fainted, and the last thing I heard from that devil was, "Get out of the forest if you don't want to be tortured."

I realized as I slowly closed my eyes that I would return to that cursed forest once more.

I opened my eyes very slowly; it was late, almost midnight.

I began to gaze around; it was the same forest where I had met my end, the forest that witnessed my demise.

A sharp pain coursed through my head, making me feel as if I were going insane.

Tears began to fall from my eyes; why was this happening to me? I cried out as I wept heavily, like a helpless child, pleading for salvation.

"Damn it! I'm going to go insane!"

Ahhh!

My right eye caught a glimpse to the side; the black sword was there again, even after my death and transition to that cave, it still remained, as if a sign of my fate.

"Damn!"

What is this?

I heard the sound of footsteps making the forest tremble around me.

Ah!

There were more than fifty beasts gathering around me, as if they smelled my weakness.

My heart raced, and I began to tremble, realizing I was facing a new hell.

I felt my heart beating rapidly, as if each thump was warning me of the imminent danger.

The beasts surrounded me, their eyes gleaming in the darkness of the forest, watching their prey.

Each beast was different from the other, with thick tails and sharp fangs, and the scent of blood filled the air.

The first beast advanced towards me with heavy steps, leaving behind a trail of terror.

Its body was covered in black fur, and its eyes blazed with a merciless fire.

I pulled the black sword from its sheath, glimmering under the dim moonlight, and took my fighting stance.

"I won't let you come closer!" I shouted, my heart pounding with determination.

I charged at the beast, ready to face my fate.

I used all my strength to attack, delivering a powerful blow towards the beast, but it skillfully dodged my strike.

Its massive tail struck me, throwing me to the ground, but I didn't give up.

I turned my head and moved quickly, trying to rise again.

At that moment, another, larger and fiercer beast charged at me, so I quickly turned and tried to strike again.

But I was slow, and its claws hit me, causing a sharp pain to pierce through my body.

I lost my balance and fell again, but I quickly gathered my strength and began to regain my senses.

"I can't give up now!" I whispered to myself as I saw the beasts advancing towards me.

The beasts gathered around me, as if they were about to pounce on me all at once.

But I no longer felt fear; instead, I felt the fire of revenge ignite within my chest.

I leaped into the air, striking my sword at the closest beast, successfully hitting its shoulder.

The beast let out a loud roar and staggered back, but I had no time to celebrate.

Another one charged at me, and I managed to dodge it at the last moment, but I felt myself reeling in a whirlwind of pain.

I realized that the fight wouldn't be easy, and that I needed a plan.

I began moving between the trees, using the environment to my advantage while keeping an eye on the beasts.

I dashed toward one of the massive trees and leaned against it to catch my breath.

But the beasts were not far behind.

They surrounded me as if trapping me in a snare.

I prepared myself, striking the ground with my sword, producing a deep echo in the area.

"I won't allow myself to be defeated!" I shouted, channeling my energy into the attack.

I charged again at the beasts, attacking boldly.

I exchanged blows with more than one beast at once, using everything I had learned in combat.

I struck one in the eye, making it retreat, but the others didn't stop.

I advanced toward the largest beast, waiting to pounce on me, and delivered a powerful blow towards its heart.

I succeeded in hitting it, but the beast didn't fall; it roared loudly, as if its cry shook the corners of the forest.

The battle continued, with blows exchanged between us, as I moved quickly, using all my strength.

But in a moment, I felt a severe fatigue creeping into my body, as if the energy was draining from within me.

Suddenly, one of the beasts lunged at me from behind, striking me straight on, causing me to fall to the ground.

I felt intense pain, but I didn't surrender; I gathered my strength and pushed myself up again.

"If I die, I will return again, and I will punish that devil once more. Perhaps it will be my sister this time or my mother," I whispered to myself, determined to continue fighting.

I rose, readying my sword as I saw the beasts advancing towards me.

I approached the closest beast and delivered a powerful strike to its side, causing it pain and making it scream.

I moved forward, striking another beast, but I could see their numbers increasing.

With every strike, I felt myself teetering on the edge of despair, but I was determined to fight until the end.

I managed to wield the sword better, moving faster.

But with each blow, the beasts grew fiercer, as if they sensed the blood flowing from my wounds.

I realized I needed to use everything I had, and I began to focus my energy.

In a critical moment, I made a great leap and delivered a powerful blow towards the largest beast.

I struck its heart, and it fell to the ground, causing the remaining beasts to retreat for a moment.

But I had no time to celebrate; the other beasts lunged at me.

I began fighting with all my might, but I felt fatigue creeping into my body.

Every strike drained more energy from me, but I didn't give up.

In the end, after a long struggle, I managed to take down one of the beasts.

Then another, until their numbers began to dwindle.

But suddenly, one of the massive beasts lunged at me from behind.

I couldn't dodge it, and I felt a severe pain spreading through my body.

I fell to the ground, realizing I was in a critical battle.

"I won't let them overwhelm me!" I screamed internally, as I prepared for the final confrontation.

With every strike, I regained faith in myself, realizing I wouldn't surrender no matter what happened.

In that moment, I felt my strength renewed, and I charged at the remaining beasts.

The fight was long, but I was determined to survive, pouring every ounce of my strength into the battle until the end.

Each strike represented a challenge, and every moment was filled with deep fear, but I fought courageously.

And finally, with every effort, I managed to escape the clutches of death and stand against my fate, defying everything that confronted me.

With each moment, I felt I was drawing closer to victory, that I would triumph over all the beasts that faced me.

And with every strike, I screamed into the darkness, declaring, "I will not back down!"

The battle was drawing me closer to the end, and I knew I would not surrender, even if every circumstance was against me.
